I think the different detailers that do RUclips content should have some kind of competition to see who’s the best out there! Would be interesting to see how something like that would look!
@@MADDETAILING three days, three different details. Each doing similar vehicles. Set a time limit on that is doable but causes some kind of panic because it’s way shorter then what your normal detail job takes. I got the perfect first vehicle in mind. Have each detailer work on Jeep Wrangler’s that were taken muddying the day before.
This channel & The Detail Geek are the best on RUclips! I watch most your videos a few times.. I have my husband watching now. The truck looks crazy good!
it’s so sweet to hear your story and thanking us. you seem like such a nice guy it makes me happy to see you succeed, we’re all so proud of you, keep up the good work
Wow! 😳 absolutely stunning transformation! 🎯 wish I could take you my 09 white Mustang so you could transform it back to getting it off the showroom! So much work you put in the truck and it absolutely paid off!!! Have a great weekend sir!
Wow, the paint looks amazing! I would have loved to see the owner's reaction. If it was mine I'd be jumping up and down. Great job once again. Wish I lived in Florida.....
That paint looks factory fresh. Amazing that a working truck of that vintage doesn't have a single dent. Obviously the owner has taken very good care of it over the years. Well done! Gonna be a real head turner now!
Usually I wouldn't spend 40 minutes watching a vehicle detailing video, but I couldn't stop watching this one. Amazing work, looks like it was just driven off the showroom floor!!!
Seeing vehicles with this kind of age being reconditioned is why I love this channel. And no one does it better than you guys! Absolutely, hands down, the best detail guys ever! Your attention to detail is unmatched. Proud of you guys and keep hammering out these older vehicles!
I think you have so much support, speaking for myself, first, I love cars and trucks especially older ones. You do a phenomenal job and deserve the support. I like the old barn finds or like this one, a nice old truck to begin with made MAGNIFICENT.
I worked in the dealer prep shop of a Chevy dealer at the time this truck was new. It's great to see this one brought back to beautiful condition! It must have had garage parking for most of its life. The paint on these wasn't very good from the factory and would have been totally destroyed by now if it had spent much of its life outdoors. The detailing tools and products available today are so much better than we had at the time. We didn't have iron removing chemicals, or clay bars. We didn't even have dual action polishers. Just single action, like a grinder except with a buffing pad. I never did figure out how to buff a car with one of those things without leaving really bad buffer trails all over the place. And we had to buff most of the cars and trucks that came through. They came to the dealership covered with iron deposits. We called it rail dust because it got on the vehicles during shipping. Chevrolet didn't put any protection on the vehicles to keep the rail dust off. I was always so jealous of the people working at the Toyota dealership next door. The Toyotas were shipped with a thick waxy coating that simply washed off with a special soap. Those cars arrived in pristine condition. The only means we had to get the rail dust out of the Chevrolet paint was to use those horrible grinder/buffers and stiff polishing compound. Those vehicles looked horrible when they were finally ready to go out on the lot. But people bought them anyhow. I always felt so bad about making those new cars look so bad. I think it would have been better to just leave the rail dust there, but dealership policy was to buff it off. As a side note: That lower trim strip that goes around the vehicle was used on all of the Chevy's of the time. They were just stuck on with a puttty-like tape, and would frequently fall off. To fix that, the parts department had the trim on a roll, like a big roll of tape. We would just cut off the length we needed, and stick it on. Any edge that was on the front edge of a door needed a bevel manually ground into it first so the door could open without interfering with the trim. The quality of the replaced piece of trim was very directly dependent on the interest level and patience of the person installing it. It might end up too short, or have a sloppily ground edge. Even though the quality of the GM vehicles wasn't good at the time this truck was made, I still have a fondness for them because of preparing so many of them for sale. Thank you, M.A.D. DETAILING, for helping me remember that!
Wow! That's just amazing! An original Chevy Square Body that's so original! I would be so proud to be seen in this truck! Anyone can buy a new truck that looks that good (like me, but I had the last truck 17 years and the paint was still looking good!). But to have an original that clean! Admittedly there are a few defects in the paint, like around the doors, but it's the original paint! And the carpet? I wouldn't have had it dyed either. I assume the seats were too far gone. You do what you have to. What a wonderful example of an original truck! I remember before the invention of electricity, keeping a car's finish was a very manual operation. All by hand! And all my cars have looked good! I used to be young! Admittedly the last truck, 2003 Tundra Stepside, had scratches I was never able to get out. I went down a path which turned into a 4 wheeler path that I couldn't get out of, so I had scratches down both sides. A DA wasn't able to get them out and I never mastered the rotary polisher. But like I say, it's not the scars you have, it's how you ware them! Great video and not a vehicle I would have burned! Thanks!
As I hear you explaining the reason for your RUclips channel, I'm realizing why I'm watching this. My father has a 1979 Caravan here in Brazil. It only has one owner (him), and with all that you show here, I'm learning the best way to detail that car, which been a dream of mine since I was a kid. Thank you so much for all your videos. Please, never stop them!!! You're awesome!!!
I need to find a detailer who will put this much effort into my 77 C10! Working so much I don’t have time to detail it myself. Great job! It’s nice to see a detailer who actually CARES about their work and not just in it for the money.
This is my favorite truck in the world, and you absolutely rocked it out! I cannot believe this truck is in that good of condition after all these years and you were able to bring it back to life. Great job and I always enjoy watching your videos.
This video made me nostalgic for my 1976 GMC suburban trailering special. It was the last vehicle that my dad purchased before he retired and got sick and passed away. And then I bought it from my mom, making it my first vehicle. Thank you.
This was the first detail channel I watched. This man is extremely detailed and meticulous and you can tell he has a passion for detailing. After watching some other channels I get bored very easily. This company not only details but restores your vehicle back to its original state!!!
I know how you feel when your details for hours, but at the end it's all worth it, I also am a detailer and to hear and see my customers reactions and comments from them is what I look forward to. Great work keep it up! Roswell,NEW Mexico
Omg your craftsmanship is next to none!!!! Absolutely beautiful work and pride on doing it!!!! Wish I lived in Florida my 1995 Ford F-150 Eddie Bauer could use some paint correction!
Love the opening music. Very fitting for this truck. My grandfather had a 1986 gmc high Sierra and there was nothing more fun than riding around town with him sitting on that bench seat with the windows down in the summer. He’s been gone 4 years now 😞
I'm a Ford guy, but that was a great Chevy transformation! To paraphrase the movie line, "she may not be the prettiest girl at the ball but she'll turn a head or two!" Very nice.
Comment to motivate you Mad Detailing. I watch your content from Pakistan and detail my both cars after learning from here. I love you being humble to your subscriber as humbleness is the biggest thing.
Awesome work man, great job. I remember this generation of the Chevy square body. This one in particular is a great representation of that generation, they were some really cool trucks, and you really brought this one back to life, awesome job!
Although I hate the Cardinals stuff (Cubs fan here) the transformation was insane. You have become my favorite detailing channel on youtube and one of the only ones I watch now.

This owner took it to the RIGHT people! Absolute perfection.
You know it!
Oh yeah! Great job. Wish I lived closer...got an old car that could use some professional help with the left over rust from living in Ohio.
Every owner who takes it to MAD detailing cannot go absolutely wrong
Best truck ever build and best detailing show on RUclips

Anybody else think seeing old chrome THATS rusted and faded get restored satisfying or is it just me?
It's almost like who remembers real chrome?
Yes!! I grew up watching my dad polish the chrome on all his Chevy trucks and muscle cars. Sweet nostalgia ❤
I need some iron eraser
I wish every detailer out there would take their time. Love your videos
the transformation of this truck was absolutely insane.
