The Pompano Beach pier has come a long way. But the beach has always left much to be desired. Hollywood Beach is the best beach in South Florida. Second would be Fort Lauderdale.

The water taxi is one of the best scenic routes to get around the intracoastal in Fort Lauderdale. You can even take it to Hollywood Beach/Margaritaville.
