One of my favorite shows in the 1970s,along with Fantasy Island. I am watching the Love Boat show right now on a DVD from my local Library. Because I cant stand modern day 21st Century Television. What a refresher to see the original Cast Members.
If you have a smart TV, download the Pluto app and they have a Love Boat channel so you can watch it 24/7. They have a lot of classic TV shows. I too like the old stuff better.
I still miss my weekly cruise on the Love Boat. It gave me an hour to escape lifes hassles and pretend I was on board as they set sail for exotic locations.
What a treat to see this. I grew up watching Love Boat and now on Pluto, I watch it all the time. I’ve seen every episode except the last season because it wasn’t the same when Julie and Gopher left.
I loved The Love Boat and dreamed of working on a cruise ship. A few decades later, I worked on the SS Independence cruise ship that only sailed the Hawaiian Islands. I started as a cocktail server, then as a Purser, and finally in the Gift Shops. I even produced and hosted the passenger show, which was a blast! Best 5 years of my life, living my dream!!
Great interview amazing crew no wonder they went on to become America's goodwill ambassadors for the entire world! Everyone looks amazing! Thanks to RUclips the Love Boat is one of my favorite things to experience regularly all over again. I find it magical the innocence the creative celebrity guests the fun storylines it's just a truly timeless treasure. That I'm so greatful to be able to still see.
You can tell the love and camaraderie the cast has for one another. Not only have they entertained us, but damn...improving our relations to the world too? From the bottom of my heart, and so many others...thank you. ❤

Back in the day, any one who was a famous actor or actress appeared on the show at least once. The episodes sometimes brought tears to me. some were rather corny. it is amazing all the original cast still with us. Gavin is a great guy! what an incredible faith testimony he has. bernie still around. lauren tewes really has changed over the years, Jill whelan is a knockout for in her 50's. it was an escape into fantasy watching the Love Boat!
the love boat is the only show on since the '70's where all the main characters are still alive...even marion ross and ace and pat cluess and these guys are all still with us...AMAZING!!!

I just LOVE THe LOve Boat!So many remembrances of Funny, Happy, Loving times of my youth and beyond.And i am a Portuguese. And the beautiful theme song was so Joyful and filled with a sense of Sea Wind and freedom...
I don't think people these days realize how small the cruise industry was back in the 1970's when this show aired. The cruise industry today owes a great deal of gratitude because of this TV show.
I had the privelage to spend an evening with Charles Durning and he told us of so much behind the scenes from his military career to Broadway to Hollywood. Had us in stitches the whole time.
I love watching the old shows and seeing how beautiful each one of them was. When I was nine years old I thought Fred was cute. Now that I’m not nine years old anymore I think Gavin was absolutely beautiful. And Lauren was as stunning as any woman on TV.
I noticed that, too. I don't think she wants to. Probably subconscious and doesn't want anyone asking any questions about her departure from the show. Good seeing her come through it. So many did not.

A favorite with fans, but not with the show's producers. You'll recall Tewes was fired due to behavior associated with cocaine use. It's like the hosts didn't know what they should ask her.
@@seand2711 I think it was more that she just didn't get into the flow of the conversation. Too many cast members, too many questions, and too little time to expand on the topics. I loved her on the show. She was the heart that fit the chemistry so well.
Not a well planned interview. Lauren Tewes was ignored. It would've been nice to see some structure to this little reunion interview. As it is, it came across like a random encounter in a hotel lobby or at an airport.
I loved The Love Boat. I was 13 years old when it came out. I quess that's why I know so many stars from the 1940's, 50's, and 60's. Which were magical to me.
I knew them all in my early to mid teens back in the early 80's, They would come into my lounge at around 7.30 p.m every Tuesday evening, These are good folk, I didn't catch on until years later that Doc was Siegfreid from KAOS of Get Smart also.
I love watching the love boat. When I watch it I imagine that I am on the boat and visiting the different places too. I love doc baker 😍 ❤️ the best. I feel in ❤️ love with him. Jill is the same age as I am . We were born in the same year. .

Tewes was so beautiful back in the day! But her life got turned upside down, she was weak, and turned to drugs. My siblings and I couldn't wait for the "Love Boat" to come on. Blessings and love to all.
I can’t wait till COVID-19 is all wiped out and things can get back to normal. When we no longer have to wear masks and we can get back on cruises, restaurants, or any public gatherings without having to worry about 6 feet apart. I wish Amazon prime, Hulu or Netflix would have all these episodes and seasons. I hope more of these 70s, 60s and other generation shows would all be streamed or on me tv.
There was closure to the show -- They all appeared on the Love Boat : Next wave with Robert Urich which was the re-boot but nothing like the original and it was the only episode i watched because it was not the same -
The new Love Boat should have Vickie as the New Captain Stuebening, her daughter as a new Nickie, Julie McCoy's daughter as the new Cruise Director. Isack's son as the Head Bartender. Doc's son as the Ship's Physician. And Gophers son as Head Ship's Purser. I'd like to see this as a Movie and a Great Promotion for Princess Cruises. Love the Love Boat Family. God Bless the Crew!!
I can see Vicki being as Commander Stubing with Isaac's niece as bartender/ship officer, Doc's grandson as ship's medic, the rest you can all figure out!!!
@@cmcb09 there was a character named Marge played by Shirley Mitchell who appeared in more than half of Please don't Eat The Daises (31 episodes) who died in 2013..so Love Boat is still the only show where the main characters are still alive..God Bless Them!!

There was a Mary Tyler Moore reunion show where Gavin was excluded. I believe it was because of his changing sides with Hollywood.
