When the first Porsche 911 came on to the market sporting a 2-litre 130bhp engine, they were up against some extremely good sports cars. Aston Martin DB6, E-type Jaguar and Ferrari 275 GTB were just a few of these cars. The early Porsche 911 it has to be said was up against it, and was definitely not a car for the mainstream. The 911 driver of the time wanted fast thrills with no frills and the Porsche 911 tyres we have in stock for you will blow you away. Classic tyres such as the Michelin XWX • Michelin XWX Tires and the other original 911 tyre, the Pirelli Cinturato CN36, which is homologated by Porsche themselves as their recommended tyre for the Porsche 911 and also the vintage Porsche 356 • Porsche 356 Tyres .
We only stock the best for our customers and that definitely doesn't exclude the fan of the Porsche 911.
We would suggest that the best tyres for early POrsche 911 are:
for the every earliest Porsche 911: 165VR15 either Michelin XAS or the Porsche recomended Pirelli Cinturato CN36.
Post 1968 Porsche 911: again 185/70VR15 Michelin XWX or the POrsche homologated 185/70VR15 Pirelli CN36, which also offers 215/70VR15 CN36 for Porsche 911 Carrera, and 911 RS. continuing through to the 911SC.
Then for later Portsche 911 and 930 the Pirelli range of P7 tyres which again Porsache tyhemselves have tested and recomend as the best and original tyre for your Porsche 911, 930, 911 SC and early 964.
