@@LifePrepared by the way how did you get on making cider ? Because that is the plan. We are in Galícia with a lot of apples and every year I have said I want to make cider this year it is happening. Making what l believe you call hard cider is the plan 😊
Last year we had a late freeze that killed off all the apple blossoms so no apples. This year my family is going to come here to make cider in a couple weeks.
I grew up in rural Maine, where apples are a major crop. I have never seen a Cider press. I think you did really well on assembly. I hope you get many years usage out of it. You basically made a barrel! For a weight, could you use a stone or brick inside of zip lock bags? I would like to see the finished cover when you do it! Thank you for sharing!
Apples are so acidic... Do you think you would consider a re coat with bee's wax in the future? Just wondering about your opinion?? Awesome show. Thank you Kim ❤🐝❤
That is a great idea. I was comfortable using the mineral oil because I use it on my cutting board for over 30 years without an issue but the beeswax would be an excellent alternative. Thanks for that idea!
Thanks got one delivered from Germany to Spain came with no instructions so this was great.
I am happy it helped you. Enjoy ❤️

I ended up finding 2 feed bags that the pieces fit perfectly so no need to sew anything.
It will be fun to see how you make the cider! Thanks for another informative video. xoxo
I know I can't wait except that means summer is done.
Great deal. Hope you show us how it works in the fall.
I sure will.
