Mark Hoppes, an Ohio Farm Bureau member from Fayette County, tells us about his 1971 Allis Chalmers 160. #shorts #allischalmers #antiquetractor #agriculture
My father bought one new when the tractor dealer stopped and let him try it right in the field. That was 1970-something. I tedded hay and then raked with it today (2023). I was told only 2500 of them made. Anyone know? I am in Ballston Spa NY. I could use some replacement parts... my fuel tank leaks near the top, amd the fuel tank cap rotted, but i am still loving her, using her. I also still have the plows he got with her too. My father passed in 2018.
Really nice little tractor you did a nice job on it

Good day from Ontario. Yea up here they were not very popular, they do have 135 massey motor in, but then didn't 175 have perkins motor in too. Thanks
Spent hours driving one as youth. Good square baling tractor due to the number of speeds. Made by Renault, not Fiat.
Not built by Fiat, was built by Renault to Allis Chalmers specs, their choice of engine, 100 series styling and a D15 front axle modified
