It was a GREAT phone. Especially for the crowd big on phone speakers. I would JAM with this phone at work compared to all the tinny single speakers at the time.

I picked mine up at a huge discount. I had about the same experience. It was love-hate. I pretty much plugged it in every time that I got into the car. I'm sure that made the battery problem worse but I had something going on at the time and had to be reachable. I'm pretty sure that I started using my Lumia 1520 instead. That had decent battery life. Now that one was definitely one of my favorites and I still play with it every once in awhile.i had the Blackberry Passport too about that time. Also a favorite.

I booted my Nexus 6 yesterday for the first time in a long time! It is still my favorite smartphone of all time, even over my S20 ultra! Unfortunately, it didn't age well since the specs on today's phones are crazy. But, I do miss the phablet form factor and it was easier to type.

My mom bought it for me as my first major phone, compared to my " first " Samsung centura. I had my nexus 6 for 5 years and I enjoyed rooting it back in the day. I couldn't afford a Google pixel back then, so it was my flex that I had pixel experience on it and it was bigger during the time. Now watching this on my iphone in 2023, I really felt the nostalgia. When you was outside recording I had deja Vu seeing the quality. Google's OG pixel before the pixel line-up was even born

For me that was the phone! That’s when moto wasn’t a cheap brand. The customization website, made your phone so appealing . To bad they just another iPhone wannabe. Your reviews convinced me to get the last great moto phone the z4. that phone turned so many heads when I popped the jbl mod. I also had the room packed watching avengers on a wall! Nobody cared that it was 480 it was wild that a phone could do that.

Mine still works! I still use it for a very specific function. At the time I remember hating that the usb port was on one end and the headphone jack was on the other. It made an already big phone even bigger when both cables were plugged in. I think if you do the math, to this day this screen presents the largest 16:9 image. Everything else got taller but didn't get wider. I flashed it with Android 10 years ago. Works great! From here I went to a V20 (still use as backup), V40, V50 and now my daily driver, a V60. Love your channel!

Ahh, one of the memorable phones ever created. I purchased mine with one of my first pay slips. I still keep it to this day. Unfortunately, nowadays you cannot do a lot with it. It is shame the requirements for all applications increased so much and there is no real benefit for the end user.

The only "Nexus" device I had was the LG Optimus. It was the AT&T variant that came with expandable storage and an out the box CPU over-clocking feature, but the camera was a downgrade from it's actual LG Nexus counterpart. I also wanted phones out of the Nexus and now Pixel line, but no expandable storage is a no sale for me. Yes I know phones are going no expandable storage and yes I have some too. But I still use my Note 10+, S20 Ultra (the highest end spec model), Note 20 Ultra, LG Wing, V30, V35, and V60.

Nexus 6 codename was SHAMU (whale) because of it's insane size. There was nothing bigger in 2014. Yet, it looks so small in comparison to today's phones.

At 2:02 you accidentally typed a 6 instead of a 5 so it says 6.9".
Also, it's way worse with modern flagships but seriously. 32GB of storage and no SD card support is a cringe joke. You make this great phone, then for anyone with more than 64GB of apps and media it's useless. Why. Why did we ever get rid of the memory card slot. It's cringe. I don't even feel bad about saying that because any manufacturer removing that feature doesn't deserve my money.

I love you brother! ))) Despite the small audience, you are delighted with old smartphones. Now Russian RUclips is full
tech bloggers, millionaires! What can I say, but you have one giant blogger in America. I even sent transparent lg headphones for review))) But not everyone has the same approach as you! Believe me, there are a lot of them now. What an asset will be when you get 1 million subscribers!))) Not everyone, according to my calculations, has 65%))) By the way, I translate everything through Google, but it's not difficult for me! And when will the LG V70 come out. You know how to make content. You will succeed!))) I also love it when you say peace. Like pеаsssssssse)))

In fact it was so popular that 3rd party manufacturers still make updates right now it runs android 13 and soon 14 will me finished. It's also one of the few phones from thst year that can still be activated since it supports full volte standards and the most common 4g lte bands used

I think Motorola makes good phones. Maybe other phones would be better in some areas, but in others, Motorola is industry leading. For two reasons:
      1. Their desktop mode is the best in the game. Better than Dex, better than Screen+. It's versatile, it supports 4K 60 out of the box, and it's configurable.
      2. App and component updates. Motorola phones don't get a lot of updates, but many components such as the camera, ready for, and other system apps are updated through the play store, meaning you get fixes for those applications much faster than waiting a month for big software update or getting tons of little software updates.
      3. Didn't count this one because it's more opinion. Motorola gives you all the performance the phone has to offer. Yes the back might get hot. Yes your battery is gonna drain a lot faster, but if you buy a phone with a snapdragon 8 gen 1, they're not going to throttle it down any more than is necessary for safety of the phone and your fingers. You get every bit of the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 that can safely be given to you without damaging the phone or your fingers.
