That’s not a bad thing. Load yourself w just random useful information that would help you one day. I never needed to fix a washer or dryer but have been watching these videos for a while. My aunts washer “broke” and because I remembered these videos, I just was able to fix it for her.
You're the best. I thought I had a leak in the drum assembly. But realized the leak was coming from the top of it. Which led me to the valve assembly as shown. Thanks!
I love fixing everything myself. Washer bearing leaking changed it. Timer went bad changed it. This POS washer is only about ten years old. My previous washer it was the hot and cold valve that I replaced. The first one I mentioned was free and brand new.
so meny people complain that it's a "scam" to charge that much, but they had to spend the gas money, and their time to come to your place and fix it, plus they needed to learn how to fix it in the first place. I'm pretty sure 150 to 300 is an adequate price for that.
as an LG authorized servicer. you would pay for the service call which would be $85. and you would pay for the part. and that can be fixed within half an hour so you would not pay anything extra. and I am talking in Canadian dollars.
Well thanks man you just save me I’m sure 300 bucks because that’s exactly what my problem was. I just now need to find the part number and by the part.
I dont have this washer but Thank you for your videos! I was able to fix my washer which had a leak and I did think of getting a new one but instead opened it up and fixed the problem for way less! Thank you!!!!
Don't replace the valve assembly unless your sure that is the source of the leak. Another common leak on the LGs is caused by a sticking mushroom valve for the air vent in the rear. It is very easy to clean or replace. If the leak is at the air vent you will see water or a stain from the leak below the vent hole.
Well, if it's not the problem, neither the drain pump, then from where could be the leak? My top washer GE, and yes!! Not a chance to replace for a new or fix it, your are right about the cost repair.
I remember replacing a bunch of those. I wonder if they're better on newer models. My old appliance repair boss has an LG now and supposedly no complaints.
Service call $165 Water valve $100/$175 Labor $150/$275 This is like a normal call I take it really depends on how these washing machines are in someone's home if they're easy to get to, or I have to pull this completely out into a hallway to do this job will determine that.
My rule of thumb, if the machine is more than 6 years old and just about anything on it breaks toss it and buy a new one at a big box store that offers 1 year free financing.
Love your RUclips shorts, but I have never seen a washer that is off balance get fixed... also I never see GE on Your channel. My washer is like a jet engine it wants to take off and just spins faster and faster until it starts banging on the sides.... is it trash??? PLZ HELP! 🙏👍✊
This same exact part on my LG failed about 2 months ago. It was kinda a pain to find the right replacement part but amazon had one. Make sure to match up the model numbers. Only cost 40 bucks to do it like how this guy did and it was easy.
Question!! I have a LG front loader (model WM3270CW) there is a flap down panel on the bottom front left where a hose comes out and I always have to drain the water out of it before every wash! It smells to high hell. Is that supposed to fill with water every wash? Am I supposed to be draining the stinky water after every load? What's the purpose? I'm over having to bend down and drain 3-4 large plastic cups of stinky water every time. Any suggestions?? And thanks in advance!
no. The filter in the pump area (next to it) is probably dirty and clogged. it’s normal for water to be left there. i suggest cleaning the filter and running a tub clean with an Active washer cleaning tablet and that should help with the smell.
Is there a way to re use a water valve by not using all 3 Example If it's a top loader like a speed queen or maytag And the customer only uses cold water Can wiring be changed around to use the other valve for got water ?????
But they have to diagnose the problem and then get the specific part or have a million spare parts stored somewhere plus their time and gas and let's not forget the license and insurance etc.
Cheap chynese junk. I remember buying a washer/dryer set from Sears and they worked flawlessly for over 25 years without a single failure. The crap we deal with today.
these aren’t cheap Chinese junk. LG is one of the best current brands along with Whirlpool front loaders and their cheap top loaders. everything else sucks that’s sold now.
@@washingandmowing15 Still cheap chinese junk. LG before they spent $$$$$ on re-branding was previously known as GoldStar, which was cheap crap available from Consumers Distributing. Cheap crap then, cheap crap now. All of them are cheap chinese garbage. If they weren't so poorly made you wouldn't be posting videos of how to repair complete trash.
Times are tough right now. Thanks for sharing. I have that problem and will try and fix it myself.
I don't even have a washer and dryer in my apartment but I'm stuck watching these videos

First video I came across, this is exactly my problem and it looks like the one you showed. Bless people like you who share their knowledge.
Sir? You are a goddamned hero...actually, From what I've seen so far, you are setting yourself up for one hell of a super hero tale.
Thank you so much!!! Took off the top and sure enough, that’s my leak. Now to find the part and order. Thank you kind sir! 👍🏼
Amazon delivered the part today, took about 10 minutes to change the part out. Wash running right now. No leaks. No problem! Thanks 🙏🏼
You're the best. I thought I had a leak in the drum assembly. But realized the leak was coming from the top of it. Which led me to the valve assembly as shown. Thanks!
I'm going to use more fabric softener now
And a gallon of HE detergent per load
May the force be with you 🌞

I would hug you if I could! Thanks for this!!!
F yeah… concise content. No BS. Props sir!!!🎉

Thank you señor .I felt like a professional just pushing the top back .
I appreciate your videos. Thank you.
Wow glad I looked this up, I ordered that hose below that connector piece you saved me time and money thank you
I luv fixing things and these videos. Thank you!!!
Spot on call, that is exactly the problem with our LG machine leaking water, thank you saved us so much money :D
I replaced my drain valve on my whirlpool. Same style. Good info. Thanks.
Simple and clear, thx

Ive never seen that before in a valve.
Thank you for showing 😊. Mine leak some today.
Purchased valve from Amazon, did this repair myself. It works.
I appreciate your videos! I've learned a lot from them! Thanks!

Good on you my friend, thank you, don’t have an LG but shit still enjoy it. Keep it up 👍

Awesome work man!!!!
Thank You!

This was my issue that was discovered when removing the top. Going to hardware store tomorrow to replace the hot water inlet.
You're a hero.
Where do you source the parts?
Dude!!! You make it look soooo easy
Awesome I appreciate you very much 😊👍🏼
I litteraly got a free dryer that just needed a new element
That inner drum/tub makes a great fire pit. The rest can go to the scrap pile please.
I wanna see you do a portable apartment size haier HLP21N 😂 & see how you work around the little parts.
Thank you very much!!!
I did the exact same repair to my LG front loader. Then I donated the set to Goodwill. I never liked the front loader type.
Well I subscribe and hit the like button cause you thought me something new
Thanks 🙏
thank you
Thank you!
Service call $165

Thanks for the video.
Can you tell us where to buy an updated or heavier duty longer lasting valve?
Thank You
I guess LG actually stands for leaks guaranteed
no, this was just a fault with older ones new ones fill valves are better
Waiting for your kind response
Thank you
yeah that's 1/2 - 1/3 of the cost of a new washer.. I'll get a new washer..
Its do to water hammering cause by the solenoids opening and closing fast
Thanks, because iv got an LG Machine
Thanks
God I hate any unit that has more buttons and mother boards than a gd dmn space ship.
A new washing machine is $600 -$1000k now. For basically the same technology as the last $20 years. I keep repairing my stuff.
I just did this repair mysrlf on my kenmore
This only happens on older LG washers. Not the new ones.
How new?
@USALibertarian Anything that is from 2017 up should not have these values. They are in production anymore
Thank ya
The valve is $15-50, for us DIYers.
The future me thanks you
You won't find a LG or Samsung washing machine in my household. Neither a Samsung TV.
Mine is leaking at the bottom and the bleach area in the soap dispenser is filling up with water too. Will this address both? Thanks!
Question: What if it leaks from the bottom? Could it still be the same issue?
Ok but where can I order these parts…??
Was the estimate for the entire job or just the part.
My rule of thumb, if the machine is more than 6 years old and just about anything on it breaks toss it and buy a new one at a big box store that offers 1 year free financing.
Probably $1000+ for a new washer vs $350 for a repair? Not a rip off, solid savings
What’s this part called ? Where to find them? Plz
And an a estimate for it as well. Thank you
Hey do you have any suggestions on how to stop lint / fluff getting on you’re clothes after every wash

Check your venting it is most likely blocked 75% or more!
My LG top load washer makes a LOUD whining sound during draining. Pls respond it’s so bad now.
How long do you need to have that washer before it looks all rusty like that? Like could those valves be rusty like that after one year? Anybody?
Can you please send me this video and where I can get the part for cheap?
Love your RUclips shorts, but I have never seen a washer that is off balance get fixed... also I never see GE on Your channel. My washer is like a jet engine it wants to take off and just spins faster and faster until it starts banging on the sides.... is it trash??? PLZ HELP! 🙏👍✊
My lg LG F2J5NNP7S watching machine shows low light on the monitor and won't work.
I can I fix it.
It’s always inlets or drain pumps with LGs 😂😅
Only the real ones make this comment 😂😂🫡🫡
@@derrickwith2rs it’s the appliance nerd in me haha!!! 😅
350 dollars a new machine costed 500
Ive replaced mine twice
why do these things only comes for in the usa 😅
My washer is leaking in the front right corner(my left if I’m standing in front of it
👍
Why is there a 200 dollar difference in the cost of repair?
Living in an isolated area. I look for parts at the dump. Why buy a new one when you can fix it.

Question my washer leaks at the pump what's it looks like anyway. Put it outside hooked up water hose and wash clothes outside
How much is a new pump?

I think you can remove the hose from the side that's leaking.
Can I add a agitator to my tub. Mine didn’t come with one
no
you have anything on Electrolux?
I'm actually working on a video of an Electrolux frontload set now!!!
That part cost like $20 and it takes 10 minutes. If they charge you $300 they are in fact ripping you off
But they have to diagnose the problem and then get the specific part or have a million spare parts stored somewhere plus their time and gas and let's not forget the license and insurance etc.
Tbh for $150, that ain’t bad. I’d be the one person to mess this up 😂
