@@TheLostWill The developers originally included audio recordings saying that Delta is Eleanors bio-dad later the decided that it took the player out of Deltas shoes and included recordings saying the opposite, the same issue occurred and they decided to just leave it for the player to decide.
My favorite out of all the Bioshock games. Why the hell do people bash this game so much? The gameplay and story were greatly improved over the original and at the same time your actions that affect the ending of the game are truly shown to affect Eleanor. Bioshock 1 is a incredible classic and Bioshock Infinite had great combat but to me, Bioshock 2 is the greatest of the trilogy.
Yeah I loved Bioshock 2. I thought the first time I ran into a Big Daddy that my hairs were standing on end. The Big Sisters from 2 gave me that same feeling all over again. Just wish I had found Bioshock Infinite half as enjoyable as I did the first two games. Then I would have actually played it more than once. Oh well back to my playing remastered 1 & 2. :D

The reason I disliked it is because it felt more like a shooter than the first game. In the first game it was fun exploring rapture, in the second it's "oh look, another corridor filled with enemies".
@Connor Boling a lot of people didn't like the second one because the orginal creator of bioshock, Ken Levine, had passed on helping the production of this game. Its also argued that Bioshock Infinite ignores Bioshock 2 almost entirely, only making references in the DLC. I personally don't like it because it sticks out like a sore thumb when compared to the overall storyline, but by itself its a really sweet story.
@@victoria4309 Well, infinite wasn't like the first game either, and that was boring as fuck. I'm not suggesting they make a complete copy, but at least try to capture the same feeling.

As for those who hated this game, I truly wonder what on earth you classify as good. Delta might have been a silent protagonist, but he had his reasons, and because he's one of the intimidating brutes that haunted us from the first game, it's best that the grunts he makes and other big daddy noises are all he has. As he's not entirely human anymore, it makes him more appealing as a character. Without a word, he refuses to resort to violence when given a chance, and shows that the will of a human being cannot be corrupted or changed. He should have been angry, he found a city while diving, and was turned into an alpha, and ordered to commit suicide. While he's harassed all the way through, time and time again, he's given the chance to get revenge for his suffering, and he refuses. He simply hobbles out of the room, leaving his antagonizers breathless and full of remorse, the tin man has a heart. Come on people, this was the best of the series. I don't care if the original was more scary, this story was so damn well written, and is a good example of how to pace a game's story to its level progression, simulating freedom of choice for a more involving story. Yes the first game had a fantastic story, but this? This couldn't have been executed more flawlessly in terms for the idea and story. While Elenor wasn't quite the hopelessness-inducing antagonist as Andrew Ryan was, she's still interesting as a character in general and gets the job done. Can't decide which sounds better, Johny Topside is so cool and rad/manly, while Subject Delta is a stocky, seemingly cold individual a complete monster.
In theory, delta is not dead, when moving through multiple dimensions in Bioshock Infinite, the outcome of events leading to Delta's death are changed, the way the suit was created was altered, and the bond could not kill the host. Eventually, he lived. This is isn't entirely confirmed, but in Infinite, the screaming of the guardian eagle can be heard in the very first game, yes. They were literally in both games, as to where in 2 they were I have no idea, but I'd imagine that Delta was eventually saved.
I am upset about how the creators made the pair-bond kill him, the reason for this is that the rapid change in pressure from being on the outside of the craft would have killed him by causing co2 bubbles form in his blood. "The Bends", also you could then entertain the thought of him arriving on the gang-way and getting rid of those bombs so that he was inside of the raft.
Especially subject delta bcuz delta the one and only who got free will but still want to protect his lil sis/daughter. Unlike other big daddy its just they duty and well dont have actual love feeling towards they lil sis/daughter.
For me, Bioshock 2 was superior to Bioshock. While Lamb and his chattel lack the Charisma of Ryan and the rest of the denizens of Rapture, it was compensated by the Dynamic between Delta and Elenor. Gameplay was vastaly improved, I genuily felt that I was beffed up after each upgrade unlike Bioshock which is dominated bya permanent feeling of powerlessness. I also feel that Eenor was ineed the inspiration for Elizabeth in Infinite: both stories are about fathers recuing their daughters after all.
No matter how many times i play the game or watch all the cutscenes, that ending always plays with my heart-strings like a puppet. They truly made an epic game, better than some of the games now *cough* no mans sky *cough*.
This one is the best in my opinion. The opening is so touching and I find it really cool that they intentionally keep that porthole to subtly but constantly remind you that you're not "human".
I cried at the ending and when Sinclair died cause I just have an emotional connection with this game and it just broke my heart and kinda Healed it back up again from the amazing gameplay
All the comments are from 2 years ago so i’m a little late but i have to say thank you for keeping the subtitles on. Us harder hearing folk really appreciate it :)
beautifully made game. I really want to have a other bioshock but its bout her and the little sisters. I really want to know what happened after. but then BOOM there goes Bioshock Infinite.
something about being trapped in a place where no one can help me, where people who want to kill me around every corner and that i, in reality would be the dead within the first few seconds of the game. Other then that, its pretty cool, it b e nice to see a horror scifi film based on the games core setting.
victor vazquez well keeping in mind that delta is one of the biggest tough guys walking around in rapture. Not many things in rapture are stronger than big daddies, except jack anyways
I was more scared in the original bioshock, when you're human fighting against these freak mutant. at least in 2 you feel like a monster among monster, that take the edge off a bit. you know what would make this game more scary ? thalassophobia. make the game have more underwater sequence, and have those sequence make you slower and have spliced sea creature attacking you. like splicer shark or splicer whale. that would scare the crap out of me.
I still, firmly, believe the best ending was when Sophia Lamb is drowned by Eleanor, but Eleanor 'gently' takes Delta's memories/consciousness into her own. Delta had nothing but shit befall him in Rapture, most of which can be laid at Sophia's feet, considering she seduced him simply to have Eleanor, then dumped him unceremoniously, then made it worse by worsening Ryan's paranoia into having him turned into a Big Daddy. The only true bright point in his life? Eleanor. Afterall Eleanor *is* his real daughter. And then there's all the hell Eleanor did to Rapture's population afterwards in some kind of sick mental/social experiment that made things worse for those just wanting to survive. I look at the ending where she realizes Eleanor is pulling her away from the air-pocket, and smile.
Eleanor learned forgiveness and redemption are essential to a better world. Killing her mother would only prove her point, she thinks you've turned Eleanor into a monster, but in saving her mother, she's offered her a chance to become someone better. Killing her is just more senseless violence, she's not a threat anymore, she's backed into a corner, there's no point in doing it beyond revenge.
8:59 is still amazing to me to this day The music playing just right to be amazed to such an impossible feat made by human hands is breathtaking to me. The music helps complete the feeling
The ending to this game was really sad. These are one of the games that I wish wouldn't end. Really wish 2k would come out with another game returning to rapture. Not like Bioshock infinite. But like the original 1 and 2. This has to be my favorite game of all time
This game series is the best example of "don't judge a book by it's cover" Rapture was originally built as a safe haven from the rest of society, but then they discovered ADAM and EVE, they let their dependance on a drug, especially as addictive as ADAM get the better of them, they lost their humanity to gain powers, and in doing so condemned rapture to a weary grave. When they couldn't get enough of their new drug they abducted children and men alike, and moulded them into monsters to do rapture's bidding, whilst still calling it a 'paradise'. No, this story is about human spirit, desperation, and above all, the bond between a father and his daughter, this was truly a stunning story to watch unfold. I loved how they gave the player the choice to spare or kill their enemies, and how this has a lasting effect on Eleanor up until the very end. They need to make another Bioshock, just as amazing as this one. 10/10
Eh, Rapture would have been fucked regardless for the simple fact that there were no real regulations on things. People could do practically whatever they want which is how ADAM and Plasmids even got made because people could experiment with no ethical concerns. Andrew Ryan absolutely hated people coming in and telling him what he could do with his own property, products and possessions so Rapture basically does away with that, not allowing Governments, Religions or otherwise tell you what you can or can't do. Ironically this is how Fountaine thrived in Rapture because he could do all his shit unrestricted and Andrew only started restricting him when it was too late and made himself look like a hypocrite for imposing his will on others when that was the very thing he sought to escape from the surface.
As a little child I used to watch my father play the first Bioshock and I was scared to go to sleep at night because I thought a Splicer would come and kill me but now I am fascinated by these games
So Bioshock Infinite is considered by fans to be better than Bioshock 2? No, Bioshock 1 and 2 are the only good ones in my opinion, the only thing I like about Infinite is the story and the Burial at Sea DLC.
Something I don’t think people realize is that Eleanor is still a Little Sister, or at least partly. She’s been experimented on a lot, so some of the effects are no longer present in her, such as the intense need for constant Adam or her complete insanity. But she’s still very immune to a lot of the harmful/addictive effects of Adam, and she still sees a lot of Rapture with a bit of the rose-tinted-glasses that Little Sisters see Rapture as due to their mental conditioning. This is all evidenced by multiple audio logs and the line during the Little Sister portion of the game where Eleanor says “...10 years trapped in this fever dream...”
As far as I am aware, she's still pretty much a Little Sister (well, Big Sister) but Sophia got rid of the conditioning to makes Little Sisters seek out ADAM and seek out Big Daddies. Sophia brought back her real personality so Eleanor has all the pros of being a Little/Big Sister without the cons (single minded drive to get ADAM, going insane when they get older).
The story might not have been the best but the combat system and gameplay was much improved from Bioshock 1. Mostly because of the ability to simultaneously wield plasmids and weapons rather than one at a time.
I played bioshock 2 at the end of bioshock 2 I was crying and sad and felt sorry for subject delta and if he was real (subject delta) I will revive him from his own legacy and he will kill his murderers in rapture at the bottem of my heart I feel sorry for subject delta.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Love that the voice of Eleanor is Sarah Bolger who played Mary Tudor in The Tudor's. I was sitting watching and i knew that i knew that voice. And shes an amazing voice actress too!
I remember playing this for the first time and i can recall saying God forbid anyone actually help me( in combat) and then towards the end of the game it was awesome
such a sad ending but Subject Delta completed his mission makeing his little sister happy R.I.P Delta always in our hearts forever you swim free now ;)
the only scene I wanted to see was that one where the big sister breakes the glass and everything gets in slowmotion. But NO, the fucking player looks away from it! #triggered
I know people will hate me for saying it, but Sofia Lamb is a better villain than Andrew Ryan. Ryan was an asshole who just wanted to kill you because you were associated with Atlas. He didn't have any kind of relationship with Jack besides telling him what will happen to him once he and Atlas are dead. I thought Lamb was much more calculating and diabolical with her plans (since she actually had plans) and had a legitimate reason to hate you. She was more intimidating than Ryan and felt human. I had more motivation saving Elenore than doing Atlas' dirty work.
Frank Fontaine: gets a new secret identity so everyone thinks he is dead. Also Frank Fontaine: records himself in public audio recordings around rapture taking about his new Atlas Persona. Lol am I not the only one seeing the contraction here?
Ok let’s go through why we know you are a good person 1.you rescued all the little sisters 2.you sparred grace 3.you sparred the other guy (I can’t remember is name for the life of me )
Do you mean Stanley? I hope you meant Stanley. He was the one who send Eleanor to the orphanage and gave Johnny Topside to Ryan. I wasn't sure if he was spared.
@@simon6157, he technically is alive. When Eleanor took his ADAM, she transferred Delta's consciousness and memories into her mind. That's why it goes into first person view at the end: we are in her mind.
im still confused, did Elanor kill her father, or was he already dying with that heart issue, she say she will save him if they both leave Rapture together.. but then she killed him and took his Adam..

You gotta give love to the big daddy's they only want to protect their daughters
They need them to live actually.
Especially subject delta bcuz delta the one and only who got free will but still want to protect his lil sis/daughter. Unlike other big daddy its just they duty and well dont have actual love feeling towards they lil sis/daughter.
I liked Sinclair. shame he had to be put down, we coulda found a cure. Alpha and Eleanor coulda been a real family.
damn you Lamb.
Alpha? You mean delta, my father?
@@Thatonewebbyboi, it was probably a simple slip of the tongue. Nothing to worry about too much.
Delta died a hero and you can’t even get his name right, shameful
@Nicholas Berry it was a mere slip of the tounge
For me, Bioshock 2 was superior to Bioshock. While Lamb and his chattel lack the Charisma of Ryan and the rest of the denizens of Rapture, it was compensated by the Dynamic between Delta and Elenor. Gameplay was vastaly improved, I genuily felt that I was beffed up after each upgrade unlike Bioshock which is dominated bya permanent feeling of powerlessness. I also feel that Eenor was ineed the inspiration for Elizabeth in Infinite: both stories are about fathers recuing their daughters after all.
Depends the difficulty you were playing.
No matter how many times i play the game or watch all the cutscenes, that ending always plays with my heart-strings like a puppet. They truly made an epic game, better than some of the games now *cough* no mans sky *cough*.
Triggered...
That Guy Josh they did not make no man's sky. Please tell me you aren't saying the same development team made that crap.
DarkWo1f997 no, I'm just saying that some of the games from awhile ago are better than some of the games now.
That Guy Josh most of the games from a while ago are better than the crap dished out now.
That Guy Josh screw you nms wasn't that bad.
This one is the best in my opinion. The opening is so touching and I find it really cool that they intentionally keep that porthole to subtly but constantly remind you that you're not "human".
That intro.......Shit who put this bowl of onions here?!
I was the same way too.
Hey ummm did anyone feel a bit emotional at the ending
Why wouldn’t you?
I always found the good ending very sad especially when delta passes away
It’s a Bioshock ending they’re always emotional
I cried at the ending and when Sinclair died cause I just have an emotional connection with this game and it just broke my heart and kinda Healed it back up again from the amazing gameplay
Yes.
I still cry every time I see this ending, and I have played it over 8 times.
All the comments are from 2 years ago so i’m a little late but i have to say thank you for keeping the subtitles on. Us harder hearing folk really appreciate it :)
The way the Little Sister jumps for Big Daddy at 6:10 does something to my heart
I LIKE SINCLAIR SO MUCH!!! (As a teammate or friend, not something else)
If it was some thing else then you would have said love
beautifully made game. I really want to have a other bioshock but its bout her and the little sisters. I really want to know what happened after. but then BOOM there goes Bioshock Infinite.
XAnonAdviserX After Everything in BioShock 2, Rapture eventually just collapses from everything
Jelly Bed yea but just a storyline of how goes of Big Sister with the small sisters.
XAnonAdviserX Well Big Sister storyline is pointless because they weren't made to protect the Little Sisters. They were made to serve Lamb that's all
Jelly Bed Not really a big ass storyline. Just the fact of the aftermath when they are at the mainland
XAnonAdviserX But whats there to go on from there?? Eleanor just leaves Rapture with the little sisters, goes somewhere else, and than ???
This game scares the everlasting crap out of me
Why?
something about being trapped in a place where no one can help me, where people who want to kill me around every corner and that i, in reality would be the dead within the first few seconds of the game.
AT leastings you can of fighting back
I still, firmly, believe the best ending was when Sophia Lamb is drowned by Eleanor, but Eleanor 'gently' takes Delta's memories/consciousness into her own.
Barricade Eleanor is not confirmed to be his daughter and it also not confirmed that Delta knew Sophia Lamb before Delta met Eleanor.
Jack Rutter actually I think it was confirmed Delta was an unwilling sperm donor so Eleanoir really is his daughter
Master Hand In cut dialogue, it reveals through one of Eleanor’s visions that Delta is indeed the father..... *queue Maury jokes*
What I got from it Simon whales was eleanor's father at least that's what I got from the games and the book
I was hoping to see more of the Saturnine! "An aging bunch of frat boys tipping back goblets of Plasmids and calling it Ambrosia."- Dr. Langford.
8:59 is still amazing to me to this day
The music playing just right to be amazed to such an impossible feat made by human hands is breathtaking to me. The music helps complete the feeling
Bioshock 2 is such a beautiful game my all time favorite no other game will ever touch me harder than this did
......ok
The ending to this game was really sad. These are one of the games that I wish wouldn't end. Really wish 2k would come out with another game returning to rapture. Not like Bioshock infinite. But like the original 1 and 2. This has to be my favorite game of all time
what would you do in rapture? everyone left is a splicer and the city is in ruins.
Sinclair is truly a MVP of Bioshock
This game series is the best example of "don't judge a book by it's cover"
Rapture was originally built as a safe haven from the rest of society, but then they discovered ADAM and EVE, they let their dependance on a drug, especially as addictive as ADAM get the better of them, they lost their humanity to gain powers, and in doing so condemned rapture to a weary grave.
It actually makes me cry for some reason. Damn the feels. I'm happy Eleanor is now free and the rest of the sisters are as well.
Free but scarred for the remainder of my life
@@Thatonewebbyboi well you have me now so I'll be scared with you Eleanor .
😢😢 I'm crying that's so sad RIP subject delta 1958-1968 WE WILL MISS YOU SUBJECT DELTA 😭😭😭😭😭😭
He's really big for a 10 year old lol
Just watched 30 seconds of it, and I already love delta
Edited: .......rest in peace Johnny showside/subject delta
Johnny Topside* but your condolences are what matter
*topside*
Excuse?
I like this game just because it really tries to make you feel responsible like as if she was really your daughter.
The ending is so cute I want one of them doll's
Neither do I
Get a bunch of junk and make the doll out of it
As a little child I used to watch my father play the first Bioshock and I was scared to go to sleep at night because I thought a Splicer would come and kill me but now I am fascinated by these games
My favorite bioshock game of all time 😊
Don't you think Sofia lamb should thank you for protecting her daughter
thank you for being a good guy and not killing the little sisters
So Bioshock Infinite is considered by fans to be better than Bioshock 2? No, Bioshock 1 and 2 are the only good ones in my opinion, the only thing I like about Infinite is the story and the Burial at Sea DLC.
Burial at sea should have been the main game.
+The Inverted Drone Exactly, I just missed Rapture in Bioshock Infinite, when I heard of a DLC that would be in Rapture I pretty much jizzed.
Did you see the Song bird die so TOUCHING they held tight hands together X(
Me: I LOVE THE BIOSHOCK TRILOGY PLUS THE DLC!
Atlas,agreed
Subject Delta is so cool and tough to kill, I always liked this game better than the other Bioshock games.
I don't always cry, but when that ending sequence started-i broke down in tears. Throughout this entire game i felt something strange.
Can I just say, I love how the little sisters get basically piggy backed by delta when he collects them? He's such a good papa😍
The ending... the feelings stabbed my heart with an arrow..
Every time I see this ending, It plays my heart like a puppet. I have to see the evil ending to make sure I don't cry..!
5:04 Me runnin’ after stealin’ a meme.
I wish we could've all saved subject Delta, it wouldn't been a great experience
When someone is big daddy for there life 😂
Jackson: why am I bug daddy 😂
Now I am not an emotional person, but this made me cry. TWICE
The story might not have been the best but the combat system and gameplay was much improved from Bioshock 1. Mostly because of the ability to simultaneously wield plasmids and weapons rather than one at a time.
At first I thought it was fake but now I see the difference, and it's a huge one
I liked how you only saved little sisters and didn’t harvest them
I played bioshock 2 at the end of bioshock 2 I was crying and sad and felt sorry for subject delta and if he was real (subject delta) I will revive him from his own legacy and he will kill his murderers in rapture at the bottem of my heart I feel sorry for subject delta.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
*c r i n g e*
this was my favorite game as a kid. i replayed it over and over again so much my mom made me stop XD. it invoked emotions in me that no other game has been able to do so far, not even undertale. seeing this brought back so many good memories. thanks. you get a sub just for that.
Bioshock is basically Doom but underwater.
Michael Collins yup
Splicers sound HILARIOUS when electrocuted.
That ending was heartwarming
#triggered
Bio shock two had great storytelling and the music really set the mood
Lambs voice is done by the actress who played Gaia on Spartacus Gods of the Arena...
And she also played Agatha Christie in Doctor Who
The remastered version doesn’t help me stop crying when I watch the first cut scene!
I’m a weak man
Am I the only one who hears Frank Underwood when Augustus Sinclair speaks?
game is still good af in 2023
To me elite Bouncer is the most menacing one.
Ok let’s go through why we know you are a good person
1.you rescued all the little sisters
2.you sparred grace
3.you sparred the other guy (I can’t remember is name for the life of me )
Do you mean Stanley? I hope you meant Stanley. He was the one who send Eleanor to the orphanage and gave Johnny Topside to Ryan. I wasn't sure if he was spared.
Destiny; Batman Telltale and now this....... wifey definitely divorcing me tonight!
This game is actually... oddly Wholesome.
If they ever make a bioshock 4 I hope they bring back Delta and Elenor. And maybe give Delta a personality.
And adding some of theses good ass plasmid.. And also adding back Big Sisters
Except Deltas kinda dead
But elenor still has his Adam and could revive him
@@simon6157, he technically is alive. When Eleanor took his ADAM, she transferred Delta's consciousness and memories into her mind. That's why it goes into first person view at the end: we are in her mind.
Bro got the super shotgun from doom eternal
1:32:36 such a immersive game and gameplay. I can feel delta *and* *you* when I watch you video.
You own my like and subscribe
Christ, it makes me cry every time.
don't mess with johnny topside
I absolutely loved this game and this ending took so long for me to get but it was so worth it
Bioshock 3 confirmed. There was underwater and in the sky. Next is in the ground or even better, in space.
Buddah Gaming :| plz god no
Im nonexistent Bob oh yeah it's happening
Buddah Gaming there was supposed to be one in space
That intro tho. Just great
I'm as protective as a big daddy...
And I'm like a shorter version of one.... shit... just realized that!
I have fallen in love with the idea of big sister's and daddy's
The ending is so depressing 😢
im still confused, did Elanor kill her father, or was he already dying with that heart issue, she say she will save him if they both leave Rapture together.. but then she killed him and took his Adam..
Isa Uthmani Productions she took his memories and conscience so that he won't truly die and also for delta to help her make the right choices
@@isauthmaniproductions6519 She basicly drains your concince making subject delta will live in her
This was amazing to watch, thank you! I am not much of a gamer, so it's nice to be able to enjoy the game still. My brothers are big gamers so it's like watching them play.
19:36 sounds wrong dosent it?
thx for ruining my brain
You have a weird mind
Oh i see what you did there disgusting
????
I bought this game on amazon I honestly don't care about spoiling anything it won't ruin the experience for me the game's coming on the 31 of October so I have a lot of time to spend on other things
Couldn't they have used his ADAM and a vita chamber to revive him like they did in the first place?
ThatOnePCGamer I don't think they have vita chambers above ground
vita chambers can only heal injuries like bullet holes and such. delta dies from his disconnection to eleanor
The chambers heal wounds not disease. Besides the bond was written in his dna. Henceforth the chamber creates that bond each time he dies of unnatural causes.
ThatOnePCGamer at the end he needed to be set free
It might not be as good of a story as infinite or bioshock 1 but the gameplay is just pure awsomeness :)
It might not be as complex or mind blowing as the other two, but the story definitely has a touching effect IMO.
