I would always use the "Utility" (-6db, of course), then add the EQ8 later. However, this rack helps with a lot! Everything is laid out and it saves time to be creative. Thanks for this sauce, B!
I have a similar strip myself, with variations for different needs. For instance, one variation has a touch of the Dynamic Tube device inserted. I use the channel EQ vs EQ 8 myself. I leave that and Comp disabled by default. I do the same trick as ELPHNT but just down to -3. I automate utility or the clip volumes, depends on what I am doing.
Those are some good ideas. In the downloads for this pack, the Live 10 version uses Channel EQ instead. It's a little different to accommodate Live Lite and version 10, but it's still cool!
Just some constructive feedback but why not move the 'Volume (Auto.)" macro to the last slot on the top row so all the compressor settings are together? Would feel a bit more ergonomic then.
I thought about that! But I wanted those compressor controls to show up on the first 8 knobs of Push. I figured I'd probably use those more than Gain and Volume, which I could "page over" to on Push. But the scattered look on the device did leave me a little uneasy. A simple feature I'd really love to see is the ability to move the Macros around on the Rack. It would prevent me from having to unmap everything and remap again when I think of a better arrangement of Macros.
Is there something that goes on every one of YOUR tracks?
Good work Brian! Great idea.
I hope you get some use out of it!
No joke I made one of these years ago and it has the exact same settings that yours does. It is so damn useful :D
That's awesome... great minds! 🤘
Thanks Brian. You rock !
Have fun with it Kristopher! Use responsibly!!!
