The only reason it exists was for Green Day to leave Reprise Records. It's the album equivalent of an extra credit test. Nothing good comes out of a half assed project meant to just get something done and over with.

The only reason it exists was for Green Day to leave Reprise Records. It's the album equivalent of an extra credit test. Nothing good comes out of a half assed project meant to just get something done and over with.

I’m not on torys side at all I’m actually on Megan’s, but that album is not the worst sounding album of the year, it’s not great but songs like the most high and solar drive are standouts. Feel like you’ve put it at number 1 because of the controversy alone
Exactly you shouldn’t let your personal opinion of someone affect you as a reviewer the album isn’t terrible at all
So as someone who’s on Megan’s side you should understand that Tory’s disgusting motives behind dropping the album & the gross lies that were spewed throughout make it worthy of being one of the worst albums being released this year.

you can’t say it’s unfair to judge something based off controversy when the entire point of the album is to address said controversy. also, something doesn’t have to be sonically bad to be egregious. it’s a spiteful, gaslighting compilation of otherwise bland sounding songs that make it an extremely off-putting listen.
if the whole topic of the album puts you in a constant state of disgust throughout it entirety, i guess it's enough to cancel out the avarages and good sounding bits. well, for me at least.
