I want to thank you for all your lessons on youtube. You are a great teacher and you make the lessons clear and easy. I just wanted to comment on your philosophy of denying talent and replacing it with practice. I can see how that would be encouraging and sort of democratic, but it isn't true. Have you watched a video by the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys? I have been playing guitar and banjo longer than they have been alive, but I will never have the ability to play like that. It doesn't mean we are not created equal as human beings but it does mean that some of us have talents that enable us to accomplish special and remarkable things.

I had this exactly same guitar , I couldn’t keep it on tune ... and tuning it was a nightmare... I traded it in a 1989 ( 1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black beauty triple humbuckers 57 Alnico classic and my father helped me with the back $ ) it was back in 2003.... then I wasn’t in very good state of mind , I end up giving the guitar away to someone cos I thought I would never play again .... man how I regret it ... awesome lesson thank you
