Doubt this is even worth saying but... This reminds me so much of the state I was in after my grandad died. He was such a lovely man and his death crushed me. His memories kept me alive, but his absence nearly drove me to end it all multiple times. "There's no peace without you" is just so perfect to describe the torment I was in. Beautiful song, and you've made someone who doesn't cry easily to music shed tears.

I'm finally crying after weeks of feeling nothing even if it's just a few stray tears, it's still relieving. My blade has been used to keep my emotions in check, as punishment, and finally, something that allowed me to represent my pain when I couldn't show my internal scars. For years, it has been worth it despite it slowly killing me and this song speaks deeply of everything a simple coping mechanism has been doing. It has become my only friend in these lonely times with just me myself and I. I love this album, it has been my favourite so far, with every song speaking to so deeply to my heart. Thank you ❤

Guys you made me so emotional on this one,because i realize exactly thats how i think and feel. I have had problems with abuse and a tendency to addiction since i was pretty young. Im still alive thank you for being there when noone else is. And thank you for putting so much into singing it and courage.
Awesome. I've realized there is no bad Citizen Soldier song. I may not love all of them as much as others but they are in my playlist In order from total favorites and down. I honestly can not say that about any newer band these days. You guys are special and stand out from everyone else. Hands down!!

Had a childhood firend, whom i knew for 14 years till the point of the accident that sadly ripped her out of my life. Vividly remember that day cause i too almost loss my life
We were having fun, people calling us out for being a couple eventho we werent but i loved her so much.
Before the accident, i sat in the back of her mothers car, smiling at her, she grabbed my hand and smiled back while i saw headlights comming rapidly closer, next moment, crash sound and total darkness. Been in a coma for 2 weeks, 3 reanimation atempts too, just to wake up, she didnt make it.
since then, my Wolrd is just gray but i try to keep it up, just for her. So i can achiev something i have yet to find.
Thank you citizen soldier, because you are a hero, for me atleast, for the pain many of us go through without telling anybody, still standing strong.
As a survivor of sexual abuse by a partner, this speaks to me on so many levels. Citizen Soldier, you have shared how he manipulated, abused, and used me for his own pleasure and gain. It was incredibly toxic and left immense scars on my heart and mind. I nearly died for two weeks after I forced myself to break up with him. I was trapped and broken feeling useless and like I was to blame.
"you have been there sadly more than my family" that hits way too hard, great song, keep it up jake, the music you guys put out always will fill me with some joy, even if it makes me cry a little, but even then i do need to cry sometimes, right?
this is how i feel when i dont self-harm and when i do self-harm it makes me feel better but i still feel like i cant be without self-harming myself. because it makes everything better for me. i love this song so much.
I feel like I've been waiting for years for this song to drop. It's amazing. Painfully true. 14 years sober, and I even said recently "I never had these issues when I was using!" But I know that the peace I had was chaos for everyone else....there are certainly times that I miss being numb, truly and deeply miss being numb
