    His work, especially later on in his career is exceptional. Rhythmically very complex and rooted in bebop. He deserved to be much more recognised than he was.

      Paul Gottlieb - YES, this is "swing", even in the post-bebop era. Jimmy (from Louisville, KY) was NOT a copy of Tal Farlow, nor Jim Hall, nor any of the other, fine guitarists who sprouted, after WW2.
