Given that Denon has discontinued the 8500HA, it's currently available at a decently reduced priced. I see you own this unit and said that you're happy with it. Is it something you'd recommend someone to buy now, given that it's been discontinued and there are other newer options around (though, they'll be more expensive)? Any feedback on the 8500HA you can offer... pros and any cons?
Lots of Tech and built like a beast !! Always a soft spot for Denon I have the 2 ch PMA 1700 and for the price it's a heavy hitter and pairs up to a wide range of speakers . Thanks for the video
These AVR introduction videos are really great! They’ve been super helpful in getting a deeper understanding of the features. I’m particularly curious how this unit stacks up against the Cinema 30 in terms of performance and features. Could you share some insight on how they compare?
I have nailed my upgrade path to be able to stream Atmos music trough AVR directly. So hurry up on that updated HEOS chip. I'm sure there's so many others doing the same.
Once it falls ~1500 bucks in price, it could be a great alternative to the Marantz Cinema 30 but at it's current MSRP, it's too expensive for what it is. I'm also very interested to see how the ART will performe once it's released.
My A1H it broke after 2 weeks , memory for the Audyssey calibration stopped maintaining settings after disconnecting the power supply and now only service can help !!!!! 6000 Euro spend for a junk. Hope this model has better memory chip 😁
not last hdmi 2.1b who allow 8K at 120hz ?...... no Wifi 7 ?....... no 10GB or at least the OLD : 2,5GB Ethernet port ?.... all those are avaible since a months....
Since the AVP-A1HD(a) model, Denon has not created any outstanding products. This product (like the AVR-A1H) is another great compromise and nothing else. Technology served in the footsteps of cancer. Three steps back, five on the sides, and only one forward. You have good engineers and superior components at your fingertips to create and deliver premium products in terms of quality sound, and still give new technologies with the pipette. I will not spend my money on these toys.
Since they positioned the Marantz as the high end brand in the portfolio that was the last great model in the Denon range with no holds barred in terms of design budget. No Tordial transformer, etc or Denon Pre/Pro since.
@@spizzy7996The EI transformer that Denon use are super low noise, I have tested this with the 2 transformers in the PMA-1700NE these are ultra silent; when everybody sleeps, let the amp run and try to listen for mechanical noise, you only hear something from 5cm! close to the chassis and no 50hz noise, no other manufacturer can tip Denon and that area vs their price category
@@spizzy7996 It seems that Emotiva will release a decent AV proccesor this November. I'm curious to watch first reviews in regarding sound quality and measurements of the S/N ratio with all filters/EQ off/on.
Looks like the A10H is licensed to process 13 channels maximum like the 8500H/HA, there maybe a way for A10H to switch between 7.4.6 and 9.4.4 but it won’t be able to do 9.4.6 or 13.4.6 as A10H is not licensed for 15 channels. The A1H is a better option for 9.4.6 as it has 15 process channels.
@@HS-ed3dz I would of like the 15 channels but don't need all the amplification of the A1H as I have some external amps, the size and price point. Whereas the A10 would of been perfect if it did the 15 channels of processing.
I love my A1H and my 8500HA. I'm sure they will serve me well for years to come.

Will the AVR A1H be roon ready as well?
You guys need a new and better Lighted Remote @ Denon.. Far more like the Marantz AV10
Got myself a marantz cinema 30 and love it

I hope you will bring up a HEOS streamer, which can play Atmos.

Also Denon should make update and add speakers configuration as: 12.1 channel bi-amp+center bi-amp + zone 2 mono . Used also 15 ch.

A1H or go home
If this had 15 dacs on board so with an external 2 channel amp you could do 13.6.4 like the A1H then it would of been a easy decision for me.
