    #cigman This looks like a cool tool I really like the fact it measures in both directions. I could have used this recently on a kitchen was trying to measure where I could.get to end walls so had to use tape measure to measure from each side to middle where I was able to access. I am definitely considering buying this tool

      Yeah I think it makes it more versatile for sure. It’s not something you need every time.. but it will do what a regular laser measures does plus more, so seems to me that it’s the way to go.
      Good Luck 👍

    I just did some testing with my CD60. It seems to be accurate and consistent at around 6 metres. But at shorter distances of around 1 to 2 metres it can be out by around 5 mm. The discrepancies are random. In the bi mode, it was bang on with the rear laser at around 6 metres and the front laser at around 1.8 metres. The other way around, the rear laser was out by 5 mm. Not impressive. My CM701 level is quite impressive, so far.

      I’ve used it a handful of times along with the others I have for estimates and the readings have been fairly close between them. It has been at primarily longer distances.
      Thanks for sharing… always great to hear others experiences and it’s helpful for people making decisions. 👍
      The Laser Level has been great for me so far as well. I use it far more often than this.

    Im in landscape design and looking for something to take elevations around the property. I can aim the laser at the bottom of the brick wall or siding as my zero point. If the measuring device could take the measure from the building and another measurement from the ground under the device and with the angle you hold it... you can have the elevation from the bottom if the brick wall and where you're standing on the property.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Год назад

      Are you asking if you can do it?
      I believe so, but I will have to double check when I get back home next week for sure. I don’t have it on me. You can do it with many laser measurers, I just need to make sure before I tell you.

    Hi I like feet and inches the bosh lasers have a rounding adjustment so you can set it to give you measurements in 1/8 of an inch as opposed to 1/16 th can you do that? As far as useful I just did a fireplace enclosure needed the floor to ceiling height to cut studs soinstead of getting on my knees on the ground with my bosh just stand there and shoot

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  10 месяцев назад

      This one doesn’t have that either. You are right. Even just going into rooms to measure I can stand in one spot and get all the measurements I need. No more walking all the way to each wall.

      It seems to be as accurate as my Bosch so far. All the extra features sometimes makes you have to cycle through more things to get it how you want it.. but I think it’s a good tool so far.
      I have had Bosch for years with no issues. Would 100 % recommend those. Time will tell on this one. I have been using their 3 plane laser pretty regularly and it is holding up great.

    As always good info. I really like that vertical hole usage you came up with. I have a Bosch LDM, but this would be a bit more handy for a lot of measurements. I like that the angle finder is automatically on in the background and you aren’t forced into picking angle over distance. #Cigman

      I’m sure there are other things for other people that it might even be more useful… I haven’t had it long enough to run into “this tool will do that” scenarios yet.
      I honestly probably don’t use my other measurers to their full potential. I do know that there have been plenty of times I haven’t been able to get to a good place to get a measurement that this one would have worked.

This double ended laser would be great for any contractor, big or small. Also, have you tried Kleins Tools ncvt-6 Voltage Tester and Distance Measure? #CIGMAN

      I see the value in it for sure.. and out of the box it seems to do everything it says. Only time will tell on durability, etc.
      I have thought about getting that a few times just for a space saver in a tool bag. To me if you can get a tool that does two things well, it’s nice to get your bag size down. Sometimes finding tools that do multiple things as well as individual tools are hard to find though…. I will definitely revisit that one once my NCV gets dropped one too many times 😂
      I appreciate the suggestion and best of luck in the giveaway 👍

      @@MORGANSMaintenance Yeah, I have my Makita since like 2008 or so. It's accurate and have all the functions I need, thus I rarely look at laser distance meters. In my line of work I don't need Bluetooth. The only thing I'd change is the display. The one I use is old monochrome greyish type with green backlight. Because I use it mainly indoors it's not a problem, but sometimes it would be nice to have something more modern. On the other hand - I change the batteries (2xAAA) once a 6 months...
      As for the video - I'm a bit disappointed that given your excellent style you don't have 50k subscribers yet. I see fairly steady growth, but it'd be nice if more viewers appreciated your effort.

      @@Stefan_Kawalec I’m still surprised I have 1000 😂
      Yeah I bought my newer Bosch for the Bluetooth. It is supposed to work with an app and make a drawing as you take your measurements, but that has never been quite up to par in my opinion. I have never used the Bluetooth to store/send measurements.
      I mainly just use the Length feature and that’s about it. It’s hard for me to put trust in things that are doing calculations for how much of materials I need for an estimate. If I do use it, I still usually double check it and use it as a confirmation. I don’t want to lose an arm and leg because I didn’t push a button in the right way.
      I am usually a bigger fan in batteries over charging for tools like this (not used daily). When I get it out I need it. I can easily change batteries if it’s dead and go with it… not sit and wait for it to charge.
      Appreciate the kind words and all your support.

      @@MORGANSMaintenance Let's hope that after 10000 there will be a snowball effect.
      I watched Bosch infomercials showing that auto drawing function and it looked sloppy.
      Leica has some similar features, but the price difference between lower grade and pro solutions gives some food for thought. If a pro handheld measuring/drawing device costs over $5000, I don't believe that drawing via $150 laser meter may be any good.
