I'm not taking this video down because people do seem to enjoy it, but holy smokes, how much coffee had I drunk before recording this audio??? We love to see some clear improvement, though!

I am glad you aren't taking the video down, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. As far as the audio, while maybe not up to your current standards, it is certainly better that much of what is out there.
I was obsessed the the legend of King Arthur as a boy (possibly because the one of the only movies we had on vhs was Sword in the Stone). I’d really like to visit there! Thanks for the tour!
@@michaelhawkins7389 Mercia was one of the three notable Anglic kingdoms founded after Sub-Roman Britain was settled by Anglo-Saxons in an era called the Heptarchy. It was centred on the River Trent and its tributaries, in a region now known as the Midlands of England.
I really like your channel! You present content in such a pleasant manner - I could listen to you for hours. I think for longer form videos, doing these tours of various locations is really interesting and valuable. Thank you!
I really hope you make more longer form content! I am in love with your story telling, calming voice, and wonderful camera work. Not to mention the fascinating history.
I have been rewatching this show (Merlin) and also binge watching all of your videos because I love history and architecture. This "tour" is fantastic.
Please keep making videos. Separating the voiceover from the video works for you, it is more documentary style than a lot of the channels I watch. Your videographer is doing a good job too, she has a nice eye for interesting shots and angles.
I just discovered you and your channel a few moths ago and subbed instantly!! I LOVE history and am very fond of English history. As someone from the USA it might seem silly, but English history is absolutely fascinating! My son is studying (maybe near your age) linguistics. He too is enjoying your videos and shorts. You are adorable… keep up the good work!
As a person who loves and knows history from all time period's it is great to find this channel. Plus the presenter is stunning, imagine the great informative chats her date's must have.
I just found your channel. As a fellow lover of history I thank you for spending your time sharing these stories with us. Your videos are very polished and well-presented.
Its interesting to see Glastonbury, the castle is looking like old, surrounded by moats and green verdure turf, its awe inspiring, you have made beautiful video,i am waiting for more to come
You really have to get yourself up to York. I'm sure you could film a years worth of mini documentaries up here! Keep up the great work for all us history nerds.
This is a wonderful series you've started! Your narration, manner and appropriate choice of music adds a sense of charm and reverence that fits perfectly. Please do continue to produce more like this that shows the rich history of the British Isles, along with the stories associated with them. They could even be a bit longer if you like.
The Merlin music won me over IMMEDIATELY. I watched a bunch of the shorts with LOTR music and stuff but this seals the deal. Merlin music wins the game!! Not to mention excellent content, and it’s so cool watching so many videos about places so close to where I live, Glastonbury is only a 30min drive from me haha
Wonderful video. I walked up to the tor with a friend of mine the other day who's also into history, and he told me about Richard Whiting, the last Abbot of Glastonbury, who was hanged on the tor after refusing to surrender the abbey in 1539. His execution must have been visible for miles around.
So many times i have passed the glastonbury tor on my way to work at glastonbury festival, and never had time to visit.maybe its time to book an hotel and discover the history of the area.
Your historical prowess is simply amazing. I wonder how many of us have common ancestors that lived, loved and carried out their lives in all these amazing places. Here I sit 4600 miles away and separated by hundreds of years fascinated by the lives they lived. Many thanks Andy ❤
Wow, I love history, and I studied quite a lot of British history during high school; from the Roman invasion, till the end of the cold war... But I didn't know there were so many well preserved ruins! Makes sense in the context of Henry VIII, but there's just something about ruins, or reused parts of buildings, that makes them more interesting than actually preserved buildings. I think it's the way they send your imagination flying, trying to picture what they would've looked like in their heyday. I wanted to thank you for showing us these wonderful places, and hope that you continue to do so! PS, have you considered making curated tours of these sites? Maybe guides for tourists that want to visit the UK's medieval sites? I've seen other history RUclipsrs even offer paid guided tours, I'm sure there would be many takers!
I just found your channel, and I am completely fascinated by your work! I'm excited to watch all of your videos. Thank you for sharing this with us. My dream vacation is to visit some of these sights someday. I could spend the whole day exploring these places, but for now, I'll gladly explore them through your videos. Thank you.
As someone who has become interested in British history later in life I recently made an Uhtred pilgrimage from York to Bamburgh. I wonder if you could do a story on Aylesbury, as that seemed to be the seat of the Mercian kingdom in TLK. As someone who went to Watford college, Ayelsbury was just another Hertfordshire town
Disregard what Wikipedia says about the tower on the Tor ( and most other things ), St. Michaels Church was destroyed on 11th. of September 1275 by an earthquake, which was felt in London , Canterbury and Wales. The Dissolution of the Monasteries occurred over 260 years later.
I went on a coach trip to Glastonbury once, but only had enough time to visit the Tor, as the organiser had been told by some fool that "You can do Glastonbury in half an hour". Apparently, this individual only likes places that have lots of shops. Maybe one day I'll get to go back there.
Your doing such a great job. Please keep it up. In the description you mentioned worrying about shake. First it wasn't bad at all. Second do you have a selfie stick with an anti shake gimble? They are great and if not I would happily contribute towards one if you have a means to do so like a Patreon or such
Your hair makes you look like you’re straight out of a Robin Hood movie. You’d be like, a wench, smiling mysteriously Your videos are interesting and very well done! :)

So so interesting indeed.....❤

The rural life museum is worth visiting as it takes in the wider agricultural history of the area and also had the tythe barn in it's grounds.
The Merlin theme in the background seems fitting! Love the video :)
I wanted to include the sad theme from the end of the series but couldn't find one under creative commons license 😢
