Man! i stil remember the stupid face my cousin had, when I showed him this intro. He had the Amiga Version and i told him that on the c64 Turrican spoke to you... He was shocked :).
I was an Atari ST/Amiga guy but I gave Turrican to my C64 cousin as birthday gift and I was really amazed about this awesome tune! Melodically I like this one even better than the 16bit title tunes!
Rainbow Arts made three of my fav games on the C64, Turrican, Turrican 2 and X-Out. At the time the graphics were brillant and ground breaking for the C64. I managed to clock all three games so well chuffed. I pretty sure the guy behind it all was a chap called Manfred , but don't quote me on this. It's a great shame I cannot get hold of these games to play on the new machines, along with such titles like Speedball 2, Bubble Bobble etc! Do miss these games. Good old days.
this intro is so much better than the amiga version A500 version: "welcome to turrican ahahahahah" c64: "welcome to turrican, be my guest another day another cry, but remember shoot or die AhHAHAHAHAH"
The graphic was not so big, but very cool ... this gamefeeling is lost ... the era of the epicstuff is maybe over ... but these day were full of fanfuckintastic gaming diamonds man!
Diese Spiel war eines meiner ersten auf dem c64! ich habe diese spiel geliebt wie kein anderes bis heute! sehr geil war auch das eine landkarte in der originalpackung war die alle welten die man durchquert gezeigt hat!
I loved this track so much, I listened to it everytime before playing when I was a little boy haha. I just woke up today and I had this song in my brain LOL idk why xD I was thinking "damn wich song was it?!" and now I remember and searched on youtube and found this xD Good old memories. Commodore ftw
Your one of the backers of the kickstarter fund too huh, I can't wait, I think the Anthology CD packs come out next month some time. I got 3 copies backed all numbered and signed including posters etc plus name in the booklet. I am also a backer of Aliister Brimble 'The Amiga Works' CD pack, Allister did a special option just for yours truly, i'm truly honoured, want more info about his CD, find me on facebook, just search Zro Dfects or seach Allister Brimble page. He did Alien Breed etc.
@RonTaboga well of corse it does. the amiga 500 has a WAY higher spec than the commodore. its a bit like saying taking a space shuttle is better than your car, thats why everyone is laughing at your comment
c63 ???? ;o) Yeah, the sample is the original C64 Sound. This computer and it's resources -ALL f them! - were used to 99%. Todays Computers ...hm ... 50%?

+Arachno Phobia wrong.... manowar covers look like the turrican title screen xD
+Arachno Phobia it's a homage to one Manowar cover
