It's hard enough to hike in the winter on the snow and icy cold, not to mention making a video of yours and carrying the extra weight and trying to be interesting and presentable all the time. Hard work! Plus the images are great and convey the sense of place and feeling. I really admire you.
Great sense of humor Adam. Couldn't help but laugh during the opening. Shots were wonderful as well, especially the night shot with the city in the background.
Hi Adam, Great images there, and you certainly put some effort into getting them, really enjoyable video so I will definitely be watching more of your stuff, regards Ian
Adam. I just discovered your channel couple of days ago. I'm going over the videos and I must say I really enjoy the content and production. It's clear that you put a lot of thought and time on them. Great work and thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Stellar images no doubt! Not going to lie, I fast-forwarded through the long GoPro selfie talking sections. Less face, more place! Wish I had something like that in my back yard. . . Great capture. . .
Beautiful Photos! Great work! I’m just starting out with Land scape Photography, I’m a wedding and event photographer so I’m curious on your custom settings on your camera ,maybe you can make a video on on your own camera settings in the future !
To just tick like is an understatement. Your images and scenes where absolutely gorgeous. Do you shoot in manual ??? Do you have favourite aperture for scenes like these ??? And finally by how much do you overexpose for these beautiful conditions ???
Thanks, Allan! Most of the time I shoot in Aperture Priority since I am more concerned about aperture than shutter speed. I also shoot in manual, really depends on the scene. For bright, white snow you might have to open up, overexpose by a stop, no more than two stops. With digital, I've become quite lazy as I just go with what the meter says and then adjust according to the histogram. Aperture also depends on the scene but for these images, I believe that around f8 or 11 did the trick. A closer foreground I might stop down further for greater depth of field. Thanks again!
With winter is it still advisable to shoot to the far right of the histogram ??? (ETTR) or does this not come into play. We are promised snow for the UK this January and February 2018. I have never shot snow. Can you believe that? Again, thank you for sharing ...
Excellent work here Adam. I’m from SoCal originally but the wife’s job brought us to the frozen tundra of New Hampshire last year. I found your vlog after searching for winter photography. I look forward watching your winter adventures and getting some inspiration step away from the fireplace. Do you mind if I share your vlog link with others?
Thanks Jim for checking out my channel and taking the time to comment. For sure please go ahead and share away, thanks for asking. All the best for your winter adventures.
I live in Nashua. Difficult to find interesting things to shoot compared to the west and pacific northwest. I wish New England had such majestic mountains
