IKEA bags are the best for laundry. You can pack a ton of clothes in and easily carry them.

This is a bit late, but.... Some time ago you said that one shouldn't wait until you find the "perfect" RV before you buy or you'll never get one. Buy what is somewhat close and get camping. That resonated with both my wife and I, so we went seriously looking instead of just looking to see what was out there. We bought a gently used 32' TT and have enjoyed it so much. The dogs appreciate having more space than the pop-up we had. And it's so nice having a real bathroom. Just saying "thanks". Love your videos.

We use old style diaper pins to pin all the socks to their mates. When we take off our socks, we pin them together on the heel or bottom. The pins do great in both washer and dryer. We never have to sort and match socks. Hubby and kids were trained to do this.

Did all the laundry the last stop before home after a 3 week trip to Mesa, AZ to visit family! Bedsheets, comforter, etc all done and ready for the next trip when we pulled into our farm! Have been doing this on longer trips for 12 years since we camped in a pop-up w/our 2 girls for long vacations up and down the east coast. Nothing like getting home and all you have to do is unload clean clothes and small fridge and cooler, clean the inside and outside of camper! And mom isn’t stuck in the laundry room for a week!! When we did laundry on the road hubby and girls always helped, doesn’t happen like that at home!!!!! Found your separation of clothes very helpful! Thanks!

Years ago I heard some places in California have laundry mats that have a single style bar attached and the machines have numbers on them, when your machine is done a light inside the bar goes on. You guys are so entertaining, I look forward to all of your posts.

Some VERY good tips, Trish! Enjoyed hearing Marc and the effort HE puts in helping with the laundry; "happy wife... happy life." Seriously, you kill it, girl. I don't understand some who post who HATE laundromats; if you don't like the one you're looking at: LEAVE (you don't HAVE to use it)! This ol' single guy saw a couple of great tips; will have to go back and watch the vid, again! Thanks for sharing! Y'all Be Safe!

Good tips for laundry day. We have a tip to share, we put sticky notes on the washers/dryers we are using so we know which clothes are ours. We can’t always get washers and dryers that are in a consecutive row, so this helps us remember which washers/dryers are ours. This helps with “no clothes left behind” and avoids others mistaking our washers/dryers for theirs.

Laundry tip from military, when you have sheets, fitted sheets and matching pillow cases. Fold as usual BUT fold and place all in 1 pillow case. That way when you store stays together easier to store and if you have surprise guests or want the kids use the same stuff for bedding viola all together

Learned in college the value of multiple machines. 6 am Sunday mornings could use all the washers and dryers without guilt. Built a home with 2 stacked washer dryer units in laundry room just 6’ from master. Only two people in the house, no kids. I feel for all the women in the world with any number of kids stuck with one washer and one dryer in the basement with bedrooms on the second floor. This video showcases thought process and deliberateness. Great lean living example! Thanks for sharing.

Our Class A has a Whirlpool washer and dryer. They do smaller loads but do a great job and are as fast at our home washer & dryer. The rig has a separate gray tank for the washer. Two loads only fill the tank about a 1/3+ full. Get a set.

Trish I love this. We are going full-time RV next year and ours does not have w/d. I have been sort of doing laundry this way at home already (a little obsessive maybe?) so I didn't think I could deal with FT RV with no w/d. You showed me how easy it can be if you're organized. You even make it look like fun. Again, love this!!!!

There was a Laundry Mat in Wilmington, North Carolina back in the early 90’s that was called, “Sudz and Dudz” Cold Beer while you wait! One problem. It was always in the morning that I did my laundry back then, so it was a little early. Finally own my own W&D and had my own Sudz at Home! I enjoyed your video! I do it just about the same way Trish, or use to. I am a tad OCD. I always button and zip the shorts or pants. My Mother in Law told me years ago that keeps the clothes from getting beat up by the metal buttons and zippers. LOL. I am impressed with 3 men in your home though! Wow! You are a busy gal!

If you have a fur person, I highly recommend FurZapper Dog & Cat Hair Remover. They come two to a pack. You can sometimes find them at Walmart (best price) either in the laundry detergent aisle or where the ironing boards are. Also, many places online. I put two in the wash (to start hair balling up) and then they go in the dryer. They are sticky so hair clings to them in the dryer. Essential that after you pull the hair off, you rinse them or put them back in the next load of wash. I keep several in our RV.

I have to say that was fun to watch. We purchased the Splendide washer dryer combo so really the only time we go to the laundry mat anymore is for bedding HOWEVER, we are empty nesters and don’t have to deal with the endless high tide of teenager laundry so it works for us. The only real issue to the RV washer dryer is that it is small which requires us to run a load at least every other day otherwise it takes hours to get done. Also I am not sure if you have one but the Shirt folding device that you can from Amazon is one of our best investments, we actually freed up two drawers in the RV by just using that. It’s called BOX LEGEND. See ya next week!!

Great video. Dryer tip. We usually go when there are not as many people so we have found dryers that don't get hot. So if there are no dryers that just got done being used so you can see if they are still warm we only put 1 quarter in and let it run for a couple of minutes to make sure it is getting hot. If it don't then we switch. This came about when we put all our money in one and 20 minutes later it was still cold. This has happened a couple of times. Thanks.

I found out any wicking fabric you don't want to use clothes softener.
I have a undershirt, shirt, vest, and a jacket that moved the moisture to the outside kept me dry and warm. One day my daughter thought she would help... She uses softener and dryer sheets.
The wicking function did not work leaving me cold and clamey. Found out towels are the same for soaking off moisture.
Have fun, I do. Mark Waco

from the laundry attendant, SPOT ON. Watch the star rating and avoid those with cards you have to buy as you can't get a refund of the balance. Also you can wash dark work out clothes with the other darks and sort first to drier with dress shirts or Polo's. use tennis balls or wool balls with comforters to help push air to inside batting which promotes faster drying.

Hi guys - Trish you are the ”Bomb”. I've never learned so many tips on anything ever!! I personally do not like using a public laundromat and one of the best things we have in our Class A are stackable washer and dryer. They aren't as big as brick and mortar w/d, but great. We are a retired couple and wouldn't want to be w/o them. With your big rig you may want to think about it. Enjoyed your video. Till next time safe travels! 😊💞

I had to use a laundromat a while back as my washer died. It wasn't a good experience. I guess I should upscale :-) Marc talking about pillowcases was funny, but it did remind me I take all my bed sheets for the set and fold then put inside of one of the pillowcases. Keeps them all together, small and compact. Plus if you turn the pillowcase inside out keeps everything clean. LOL ok I'm a single guy and need a life :-)

Marc and Trish: I am Roy in Nashville. Going through all your videos, in chronological order, first time commenting.
I saw that you were in Goodlettsville when you did this episode. I would have suggested "Soap Opry Laundry" just down the road from you as you are getting near downtown Nashville. Why? They offer Same Day "Wash n Fold".
Go there in the morning, zero the scale with you choice of empty basket, dump all the laundry in, fill out the sheet on what soaps you want, fabric softeners, brand of dryer sheets, temp, etc...
    leave
return in the afternoon and it will all be done and folded for you .
    $1 per lb.
Wild estimate of what I saw in the video may have been 60 lbs of laundry.

Nothing drives me crazier faster than to watch folks divide laundry into 4 dryers thinking that the clothes will dry faster! NO! NO! NO, throw it all into one! They dry upright in a tumbling motion! The more tumbling, the more efficient! (Not to mention cheaper!)

Hello Mark and Trisha! Are you still hoping to be on a sailboat someday? Have you heard of Nicki and Jason Wynn from Gone With the Wynns? They used to be full time RVers and now they are sailing a catamaran around the world and they take on couples as crew for sections of the sail. This is a purely selfish suggestion because you guys and the Wynns are my two favorite Sunday posters and it would be so fun to see you together! Plus it would be a great chance to try sail life!
