- Easy Easter Window Cards with Free Templates!
Create this set of Easter cards using inexpensive supplies from our sponsor Papermart: www.papermart.c...
Supplies:
White Cardstock
Baker's Twine: www.papermart.c...
Washi Tape: www.papermart.c...
Stamps and Ink
Sponges or color dusters
Embossing folder (I used a Damask pattern from Darice)
Foam Tape
Scissors
Also a craft knife or die cutter for cutting the templates.
You can snag my free Printable PDF template or SVG cutting file on my blog: thefrugalcrafte...
Watch the video for full instructions! Happy crafting!
Directions:
1.Die cut the SVG template on a full sheet of white cardstock OR print the PDF template. If hand cutting I recommend using a craft knife to cut out the windows on the cards and then cutting the scalloped frame with scissors. You will have 4 scalloped papers with windows.
2.Emboss the papers with an embossing folder if desired. You can also stamp a sentiment on the paper if you want to keep it flat (unembossed.)
3.Center the window on a card base and trace the window with a light colored pencil.
4.Apply washi tape over the traced image.
5.Apply foam tape to the back of the window.
6.Wrap the panel with baker's twine and adhere to card base.
7.Stamp an Easter sentiment on a label die cut (not included) and adhere over twine with foam tape.

Mary Bertot Happy Easter to you too!
You always have such beautiful, simple and FUN ideas!! These cards are sooo sweet. I have been tryin to get started on making my Easter cards, so thank you so much for sharing. I'm inspired!!! Very cool!!! Taylor:)
Lovely. Love the way you talk in sponsored videos. It always cracks me up (in a good way) :D You are the only one whose sponsored video never make annoyed because you are so open about them :) Love all your videos anyways. Good job as always!
Bia Makani thank you:) I am proud to work with these companies so I want to be upfront about it, they are great people and sell high quality products, if anything comes out that is sub-par they pull it from stock and fix it before it is sold. Quality is their first concern, price second. I really love these guys! Also I know consumers might wish to give more or less weight to my opinion if they know I am paid to make a video or I was given product for free and I want them to make their own opinion bearing that in mind. I am honest about whatever company or product I am using but it might be a consideration for others.
Exactly! and you should be. That is what I love about you among many other things :) Don't ever change please ;)
I love this idea. I love washi tape!
So cute. Fantastic video, as always, Lindsay. Thanks so much for the ideas! :)
You always have the BEST ideas! I tried to come up with some Easter card ideas a couple of weeks ago and these are so much better than mine. I love the center cut outs and tape stripes. I think I have an egg shape with my Fiskars templates that might work. It's much larger but would still be cute. I have never been good at cutting with an X-ACTO blade or tiny scissors and I don't have your nice machine but these cards are so cute I might have to try hand cutting again.
Love these cards Lindsay, the embossing sets it of, and love how you used the Washi Tape, very pretty Easter Cards xx Wendy
Those are beautiful! TFS.
Best use of Washi tape I've seen. Thank you
So cute and easy, also a great idea for using my whashi tape I can't get rid of !!
Love the cards !so sweet
I love that idea! Thank you
Extra cute!! I have a double die from Spellbinders that does an outline of an egg as well as an ornate inside. I used the outer one to make my window, traced an "inside" egg then used paper scraps to create it. Turned out really nice! Thank you for sharing this!!😊❤️
Love these!
beautiful cards!

Very cool. Can use the same technique to make Ostara cards (as we celebrate Ostara instead of Easter). Thanks, Lindsay!

What a brilliant, quick and simple idea with a great looking effect. I've got to try this tomorrow (it's late evening here in the UK so I will have wait until the morning).
Lindsay, I have been looking at buying a few rolls of washi tape to try, do you have any suggestions what basic colours I should buy?
Thank you for sharing all your brilliant ideas with us. Dee x
arieswomandi buy what you like in classic designs, stripes, dots, script are all timeless! Choose colors that speak to you:)
thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Thanks Lindsay for your advice, I knew you would be able to help me. I love bright colours but the pastel shades are growing on me too. Dee x
Where do I find the templates to cut out the bunny? I love these cards.
Lindsay, what cutting machine do you have. I noticed your your blue mat. I have a cricut Expression 2 , a Cricut Imagine, A Cricut Explore. I use all of them for different things. I can cut these images out on them right. I love your videos.
Kathryn Sloan If you can cut SVG files (I think you can with the Explore) and you can cut this template. I have a Cricut Expressiobn and SCAL2 software so I can cut SVGs and fonts I use Eclipse mats because they are cheaper and work just as well and I became disgusted with Cricut long ago and do not wish to give them any more money (or free publicity LOL!)
New subscriber. Nice video
