So proud of my 90 year old uncle who was one of the first of David Stirling's SAS men. He attended a ceremony recently at the monument and appeared on the TV programme about the SAS. His stories are amazing, told with quiet dignity and nonchalance as if he'd just popped out for a paper!!!

Non Human? certainly apart. Having missed a great deal of my daughters life, well it is sad, but many people have done the same and little good came from what they missed it for. There is a real sense of having made a difference for us. Having been married for 43 years and now over 60 of course I have regrets, but I would do it all again, without respect for all and deference to those worse off it would't have been worth it. Real dedication is a mother who must tend adisabled child.thatsv a HERO

22SAS , part of UK SF, seems not to be on the list of regular army units, it is now part of the ministry of defence. The part-time units, reserves, 21 and 23 are on the regular list, very strange.
21st SAS (Artists Rifles) (V) was not even quite so 'secret squirrel' in late 70s early 80s when it was part of the corps patrol unit of 1(BR) Corps in Germany.

I didnt think the SAS marched. I thought they just teleported to places using nothing but the power of their own epic win.

Roughly quoted from a Tom Clancy novel about a Brit sent to protect an American in London: “ The SAS, when you care enough to send the very best”. Truer words never spoken !!!! GOD BLESS THE SAS.
