Portrait is really nice! I just wished that had an exclusive version with a helmeted portrait because that’s how I want to display my Captain Marvel. So I may have to pass and try to acquire the old SS or the new XM one instead.
I’m preordering it. Missed out on the first one due to not knowing about statues at the time and she is my fav female marvel character so it’s definitely a hit for me.💫
I pre-ordered this one as soon as I saw it was available. I have the 1/5 Avengers Assemble statue of her and I still like it but I think this one has a better portrait, and her costume is more comic-accurate. The flying effect is also an improvement on the previous one, and reminds me of the Rogue maquette by SS. I may try to pair em in a Versus type of display. The blast effects are not my favorite but maybe that's all they can do considering the weight of the figure, stability? At least they're not as bad as the SS Supergirl clouds which look like shaving cream, according to my wife, haha. Price is still good, I'm a little surprised considering other companies are raising them.
@@astroknomer Yeah, that's nice. I also pre-ordered that new Psylocke they're coming out with, she's a little more expensive but it makes sense due to the base/background. I hope they don't come out with anything else that looks that good, though, haha
Good looking statue. Love the concept and portrait. Blast effects are similar to what they did with their latest Scarlet Witch statue, and that didnt bother me at all. At the price point, this could be a pick up from me. Thanks for the video.
@@astroknomer I never knew Sideshow made a John Steward Green Lantern. The only one I ever saw was from Tweerhead. Does it have a light of feature because that shade of green and the light intensity is perfect. It looks like how I want kryptonite look in real life.
I think the portrait is fantastic, too! Wish Sideshow can come out with a Ms. Marvel version, in her black outfit!

There is a custom one being made if you are into custom statues. I’m going to get that to go with sideshows captain marvel

I agree, it's a superb statue but I think the fire could have a little more of a fiery orange colour, but still looks cool.

I’m very thankful of those prices! Sideshow has their operations in order and doesn’t have to push raising prices off to us

No light up. It’s just a little translucent and the light may make it appear to light up.
