Pose looks off when you initially look at it but then I realized that its very hard to pull off Lantern constructs. A ton of guns can look over the top and cheesy plus it’s been done before by other studios. The fist was already done by Sideshow. They could have tried the bear trap, ram, chains, saws but again , you risk it looking cheesy plus the height and width will increase .. The best option is what P1 settled on. Energy flowing through space and asteroids. The Lantern symbol being formed is a great addition. Preordered ✅.
Overall, I love both statues. Hal Jordan is my favorite Green Lantern (and one of my favorite heroes overall) but on paper I think Sinestro looks better. I say this because not only does his pose/story is great, but each and every one of his head sculpts look perfect and I like his lantern effects more. As for Hal, I like two of his portraits (both on the left). I heard a few opinions about people unsure of his pose, but for me I think it fits him perfectly. Hal is a pilot (he's like the Maverick or Han Solo of the DC Universe) powering up his ring, looking up to the sky/stars for his next adventure. While you have Sinestro on the other hand who is so skilled, he pretty much looks down on nearly every opponent. I am 90% sure I'm at least picking up Hal. Geoff John's Lantern Run was probably the best comic I ever read and this statue has nearly all elements from it. The only thing stopping me is the height on him. 37 inches high is no joke. Sinestro is even taller
I like them both. Idk it’s just something about Hal’s pose that seems weird to me. It fits Sinestro better. But overall love both statues. Thank you for sharing Paulie!
