I have a Barbie collection, too and I have the first Black Barbie and I will never let her go!! Congratulations Ms. Rhimes on all of your accomplishments!
I only had caucasian ones until my late cousin/godmother gave me an African-American Barbie and Ken, but I gave away or sacrificed my Barbies, Skippers, Stacies, Todds, and Kens about 10 years ago, I don't need them anymore.
I'll never forget when I was younger (I'm 51 now), playing with all white barbies. My mom bought a black barbie to add to my collection when they came out . My cousin was over playing one day and I gave her the black barbie to play with. She cried and cried and cried (threw a whole tantrum on the floor) because she didn't want any parts of the black barbie but wanted to play with the white barbie even though the black ones looked liked us.
Madam shonda rhimes., just watched your greys anatomy series., murder..... ..your interviews. Those were incredible. I adore you your talents., you are an establishment, you are an organization, you are an iconic person, ., so cool to answer the questions, you are the coolest person. And thousands worked for you for themselves., said dreaming is not enough do it. You are doing it. Keep going., wishing lots and lots more to thrive by .. started watching scandal.., Olivia pope...wow... you are the creator of creators.your way of dialogues, sharp edged. God bless long live and prosper. Love you shonda rhimes.
I started off with a Cher doll and then my mom got me a Superstar Christie makeup head. She was black, but had a blonde streak in her hair- which weirded me out a bit. 🤣
To put this much importance on a toy is ridiculous. Immature! It's worse than when grown man sit in front of the TV gaming day in and day out and do nothing else.
Wasn't PJ supposed to be Barbie's Hispanic friend? She had Latinia features. I played with her in the 80s. Mattel made a Hispanic version of President Barbie in the 1990s.
@@v.a.993 Yes. They made Teresa too but I wish they would make more Hispanic dolls in general. I am Hispanic and so is my daughter and it was hard to find a doll she liked that looked like her.
First line of the trailer and already are we using exaggerated language and claims in the name of victimhood vs just using reality that you wanted more representation vs you NEVER saw any? Black barbies were not the first depiction of black girls in dolls or products or popular media though? Is this another "Im the first female superhero or first female in the franchise" claim?
Oh, Shonda, what representation do you speak of? The Bed "Watch" or the Black Family? We all know the route you took. Lol. Yes, even us country folks see "the want."

Omg I'm so excited for this black Barbie. Mine was the Christmas Brandie Barbie, she sang, big red sparkle dress.

I have a Barbie collection. I love these dolls
In awe of Shonda Rhimes. 🥰
For what?
Shonda on ozempic too
I think she had a facelift too. In the doc her face looks different.
Ikr.
I've never cared. We did not play with barbies. My parents had us read books instead. I loved books over toys.
So....?
pick me people
You got no business being here then. 😄👎
And this means what???
I’m about to blow your mind…
you can play with toys AND read
🤯
Way to go! 🤩
Nothing from Al Roker? 🤔🤨

Wow ozempic is doing wonders

I don't think I ever had a doll while growing up; I guess that's why dolls don't interest me at all.
Yet you watched a whole news report about dolls and even went so far as to comment? Something about dolls interest you.
Freddie Ransome should see this.

That’s all they care about
It would be nice MORE Hispanic/ latin barbies / dolls in general.

@@quitaulla1569 I understand. Representation is important.

Often when Latin Americans/hispanics have an opportunity to speak up, they are either silent or side with whiteness (JLo for example)
❤❤❤❤❤
21 keeps coming up... interesting
