Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he's been longing for: a home. Funny how he pretty much leaned how to become a ninja in 2 hours and in real life it would have taken longer depending on if your trainer says your ready
They rushed it for the movie. Canonically it was a few days. In real life it would be years. But also keep in mind he already had most of his combat training down. It was more the ethical side he learned in this movie. Plus he is friggin Snake Eyes. 😂

@@noahsmith1053 That's the unfortunate thing about movies, they have to tell a plot within an allotted time frame. If they had made film a series instead, I think the plot might’ve gone more smoothly.
But I do think that what hurt this film wasn't even Snake Eyes' betrayal. It was the fact that they had the Joe and Cobra elements. If they were simply teased instead of blatantly thrown in our faces, the film would've done better.

First time I saw this I had a feeling all Snake Eyes had to do was ask for the bowl of Water.
Just put some cameras and some tripods, and let Iko do the work. Look how awesome he is in The Raid

I just watched this movie and surprisingly enjoyed it. I hope they move forward with a sequel even though it was a box office bomb.

When I found out there was an iko/rama, I thought there were a lot of fighting actions like the raid movie, but I was really disappointed and the iko scene was also only a little 😔

Crossing the obstacle without spilling one drop of water was still part of the challenge. However when chandler (eddie murphy) reaches the dagger, he was still unable to touch it. Then he remembered the other rule that: he must be "as pure as the water", that's when he drank it.
Drinking the water was to solve the puzzle of the wall of fire blocking the dagger. The water wasn't drunk as a way to bypass the "don't spill it" rule.

What really bugged me about this movie was that, Snake eyes was a vagabond going around street fighting to make money, then Storm Shadow takes him in, he doesn't really train much with them, he is actually spying on them the whole time. BUT..... Snake Eyes somehow can use various ninja moves and weapons automatically?? He even uses the katana and goes head to head with trained persons who have practised the sword all their lives??
This lesson was cool and all ...but GI Joe and snake eyes are embarrassed 😳
