He had 8 pics last year and 3800 yards so yeah Carr can swing that no problem with this new staff. ⚜️💯
If the system really is what theyre trying to sell us I expect his numbers to be close to 2020.

Our offense was always one step ahead of everyone else when Drew was the quarterback because he would practice before the season with his receivers and offense now Derek is talking about doing the same thing. That's how you create timing and chemistry it's just smart football.

I’ve screamed enough at the screen enough for the past few years wondering why the hell can’t coaches (Pete Carmichael) figure out how to fkn use what works! Change on the fly! I hated the fact that they create a “game plan” and just keep doing the sh*t that doesn’t or wasn’t working. To me this is common freaking sense. Why be predictable???? It’s just insane. @brianwilliams7123 nope. I saw the offensive line that regressed every year since 2020 and was currently one of the worst in the league. They also had the 32nd ranked offensive coordinator who phoned it in last season. Not a recipe for post-season opportunities.

With all the talented players the Saints had on their team last year it was pretty obvious it was the coaching that was the problem. This year with even a better set of players and better coaches we should see better results on the field

Only thing is , our "dad's" saints offense won the superbowl. Hopefully, the new organic system is more successful than most other teams that claim to have a new innovation offensively. Not many of those teams are doing well either. Definitely can't hurt though.

This new system will eliminate losing the game because the QB choked or did this or that wrong. If we lose offensively it’ll be the coaches fault, and the onus will fall on their play-calling more than it will the QB scrambling around trying to make a play or not. It’s why Purdy was able to be successful immediately, because the rest of his offense is doing the right things, so all he has to do is throw to a wide open WR or running back. He doesn’t have to play hero ball on every play. I don’t know if I explained it well. Of course this assumes the D will do their job too.
I get what your saying, I know for a fact the defense will still be elite, DL better, Gay at LB, secondary younger. Trust DA when it comes to defense, leave the offense to KK

It's a shame our last OC didnt work out, but I think we now have a coordinator who is willing to go into the weeds of player development and deveop comprehensive plans to use all our resources to win a game. The saints have the talent to win 10-11 games and that should put us in or very close to the playoffs.
Carmichael had 20 years to try and figure it out and couldn't get the job done.

The saints defense will probably be third or fourth best in the League this year, our offense will probably be around 5th or 6th and that's good enough for a super bowl brother

In high school everyone was responsible for knowing their job for every play - the play call was short just the play and the count. Audibles were used ifvthe qb saw a vulnerability in the defense ‘s set. Seems crazy to have depended on calling out individual/position assignments to players on almost every play.
I do wonder how much Winston being gone is affecting Carr. By all accounts Winston was a huge locker room favorite. I wonder how Carr handled that? Was there competition between the two and is that why Winston didn't get resigned? All these things he's saying he's doing for the community are all things Winston was doing last year and all the years he was with the Saints. Just curious as someone with a Winston jersey.

Carr is a pretty solid leader but gracious, too. I don't think he'd get in that type of power struggle with Winston. He knows Winston would win the popular vote easily. He's been around some colorful characters, too. Marshawn Lynch and Antonio Brown (briefly) come to mind.

His Dad was a coach at the college level and 9 tense’s of NFL do he grew up exposed to the job- hopefully he just sucked without Sean Payton’s brain behind him . Let’s say the Saints do really well this year, and the offense improves…why not just fire D.A. And replace him with Kubiac?
Because the defense is good and can be great if the offense can hold on to the ball a little bit. Without D.A. we lose that. I think great defensive coaches are hard to find. I don't care who the head coach is, but I think this combination (offensive/defensive leads) will be good match and it would suck to break it up if they do have success.
DA is one of (if not the best) defensive coordinator in football. Guessing Loomis doesn’t want to lose that if he doesn’t have to

Produced franchise records and is on the all-time NFL qb lists in multiple categories. His biggest fault was being loyal to the soil with a poverty franchise. Ask Matt Stafford what that's like. It took him 12 years.

@brianwilliams7123 Josh McDaniels, one of the worst head coaches in NFL history, benched Carr. How did that work out for the Raiders? They lost the final 2 games. Then, the following year, their offense took a real nosedive with Jimmy "proven winner" Garoppolo, who eventually was benched for doing far worse. They were ranked 12th in scoring with Carr despite terrible playcalling by Josh McDaniels. Carr, Josh Jacobs, and Davante Adams called out the playcalling that seemed to be akin to Martyball. After Carr is sent packing, the offense is ranked 27th in scoring with Garoppolo and ends the season at 23rd.
Let me give you a quick lesson in football. To have an actual championship level team, you need at least 2 of the following 3 things.
1. A very good offensive line
2. A very good coach
3. A very good defense
I can count on 1 hand the number of times in NFL history that a championship team didn't have those 3 things. The dynasties leaned heavily on those.
