V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭

IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... AH I CAN'T STOP CRYING
The claim tha IU can't hear is not supported by the music. Mute yes but deaf no. I'll refer you to several scenes that disprove that claim. 1-in the opening scene when she and V stop to catch their breath, IU responses to the sound of the cube passing over head before V does and then she touches him to get his attention and gester to "let's go over their". 2- once inside the building they both response at the very same time to the sound of the Cube passing over the building and they take cover. This would never happen if or both of them was even hard of hearing. There would be a delay in reacting and them who ever had the ability to hear would have had to give a direction to the other as to where to look to see what the other was seeing. None of that happened here. 3- IU was the first to respond to the cube entering the room. V responded just a little after IU, but there was no pointing out the cube or showing where the cube was etc as would be the case to communicate with a deaf person. So either IU can hear as her actual acting out of the scenes demonstrates or the scene was terribly directed and/or acted. I find the last alternative to be an impossibility.
The director said IU was deaf in this MV. As for how she noticed the cube, it’s called vision…seeing the shadow of the cube when it was overhead and seeing the light of the cube when it came into their wedding. Deaf people have their other senses heightened.

The director did say viewers can have their own interpretation. The camcorder serves as a filter and allows imagination to roam freely. Everything is imagination through the camcorder. Reality resumes when you see their wounds and tattered clothes. In the end, the two of them are seen ascending to a better place through the camcorder, while they are eradicated in reality. So sad. So beautiful. So brutally real.
Such a beautiful and emotional video featuring amazing acting and vocals that makes the experience so personal. I really do hope that Tae & IU do other projects together both film and music as they have great chemistry and when he was on her show their voices also blended so well. So powerful how both tried to protect the other and both clung to each other until the very end. It was a potent touch to have their clothes land together on the pile. This last point yet again showing that while they physically lost to the cube, it couldn't destroy their love for each other. They stayed together in life and death, so indeed their love did win. I can't get enough of this MV, the acting is Oscar level and combined with the award worthy vocals and lyrics it's both heartbreaking but also heartwarming that at least they went together.

This music is political in essence. IU always does not look aside social issues. But she represent about them in her own way, in the musical way. Cubes= dominent political frame, distorting media. V= late Lee SunGyun who appeared in Parasite BUT SUICIDED because of the korean prosecution .
This is a total stretch beyond reality. First IU had written this and developed the concept well before Lee's death. In fact, before the filming of her Palette episode with V. Her message is non political and focuses on Love and only love. How many times I wonder does IU have to repeat the word Love in order to make it clear what the message of her song is. She doesn't avoid addressing social issues at all. EIGHT address the tragedy of Suicide and in particular the pain inflicted on those left behind, or hate and bullying which she took on it an in your face approve with BBIBBI and at the End of Eight. Giving comfort to someone going through a very hard time, when you can't fix it for them but you can give the silent and present support.

This MV is a Masterpiece, IU & V have been close friends for years so their chemistry was so natural.
