I had the same one and yes they are a lot faster then that.I also had the Great planes Stinger which was the deep v hull version.. My wife and i had great times with those.. but i didnt meet my wife until 1995 we dated for a year then married and i remember buying both from Tower Hobbies around 96 or so after we got married .. I cant believe that is a 1988 model.. In 1988 Rc was really picking up steam.. ie Tamiya Grasshopper /Hornet Kyosho Pegasus/Icarus Team Associated Rc 10..
ChrisandEileen thanks for the comment! the Wildcat has been sitting in my garage, I've been busy with the other toys. My streetcarver, for example has been apart for six months! I do eventually want to upgrade to brushless DC motors, and I need a new Atom receiver!
