One of You Tube's oldest RADIO AIRCHECK MUSEUM with a NEW VIDEO posted daily at 3PM EST.
After over 40 years working on the radio, I have recorded lots of radio airchecks, and many from my friends as well.
You'll find audio of many radio personalities who have passed away. Lots radio recordings from the 1940s, through the 2010.
We also talk about radio broadcasting. If you happen to have classic airchecks, maybe even of yourself on the air, we'd love to share it here!
We also share videos about Travel & Cruising. I share tips on how I travel cheaply, so you can do it also! Find me on Facebook: / ellisairchecks
A great time for radio.....the 60s and 70s.
Grew up in 60s and love the old 📻 Jingles
These jingles never get old! :-)
Oh?
Yep.
They got old very quickly and now we can nostalgic all together
And the Jingle memories just keep on coming!👍🎵
You got it (good), Good Guy!
i love these jingles so much and how different it is every decade
Thanks from a retired Broadcast Engineer 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
The Drake-Chenault radio jingles are still playing on Fresno's KYNO, all day everyday. Somewhere in the back of my mind, It was the Johnny Mann Singers doing these jingles.
I still hear the old KFRC music & jingles on their HD-2 channel at 106.9 FM-2. This is the HD-2 channel of KFRC-FM 106.9, which simulcasts All News KCBS 740 AM.
The original 610 AM is today’s KEAR, the worldwide flagship for Family Radio Ministries, based out of Oakland. KEAR was on 106.9 FM for decades before selling to KFRC in 2005. KFRC briefly revived the oldies/classic hits format on 106.9 before flipping to all-news and joining KCBS.
The very first jingle they play on this video, (KAKC) Was also used on KIQO PURE GOLD 104 (oldies) throughout all of the 90s. Still using that old jingle in the 9Os...wow...hearing that jingle after all these years brought on some major nostalgia.
It could be argued that the CKLW versions were the most widely heard considering the night time coverage of CKLW. CKLW was number 1 in Detroit/Windsor, Toledo, Cleveland, and Erie, and good audience in Buffalo, too.
No- KHJ Los Angeles. #1 in nation.
And can be heard Across the areas of Southern Ontario that is covered by CKLW
Excellent montages of classic jingles..some with the late Robert W Morgan....maybe CKLW's Byron MacGregor?
I think Big Jim Edwards. He did a lot of their IDs after Bill Drake passed.
I could hear CKLW in the middle of the night in Long Island, NY.
They sounded like a local for us at night in Newark NJ. I loved playing The Big 8 when friends were in the car. They were always caught off guard when the weather came on.
KAKC/97 AM..TULSA! I SPENT YEARS IN MY TEENS LISTENING TO KAKC !
Who put this montage together? There is Drake cuts plus TM and PAMS sprinkled in as well
Brilliant
Found a couple of PAMS jingles in here.
TM "You" as well....
@@UKJingles Yes, at 1:17 the ID
The Boss jock with the Boss hits from the Boss list of the Boss 30 that my boss told me to play!
Saludos desde Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
This exact audio collection is already posted on the 'net as is prior to Ellis.
Sorry. Didn't know someone had posted it already. A friend passed it along to me about a decade ago.
ChuckJPC?
CKLW in Detroit used these jingles.
Radio died when jingles died.. it empowered the jock and station overall..singers unlimited…johnny mann singers.. randy Horne singers.. Pam’s jingles..phenomenal
Source: ChuckJPC (most of them)
The description should be changed from WAKC to KAKC. Great collection!
Weren’t these jingles produced by Johnny Mann?
Ellis, I always enjoyed the D-C Hitparade jingles, all versions. Do you have them?
Sorry, I Don’t
2:48 The Big 99 is *BOSSER*
W-I-B-B-A-G-E
That last one for K-Earth was not by Drake-Chenault, was it?
I don’t know for sure, but Bill Drake was KRTH’s consultant for a while.
@@EllisFeaster That final cut is PAMS from KCBQ '76 Custom. It was also sung for the WLS 1976 assortment.
SO does anyone know WHO the female group is singing on the majority of these spots. I mean so many sound the same or have the same lady. like Dona Reid or Patsy Cline etc
1:17 Came from TM's "You" Package
2:31 Came from The PAMS "Energy One" Package
AC⚡DC was invented in the 1970s, the band first started all the way back in 1973
Anyone have "wau sau radio, big rig radio" from wausau wi in late 60s?
