Not boring, fascinating! Building on her success with patience and communication. She's "just a baby", taking baby steps and learning as fast as she is capable. Thank you.
Thank you for listening to the horse. So many people don’t think or listen to the horse and man handle them into training. Thank you. I love your videos.
Love how you listen to the horse. Takes time, consistency and patience- 3 things some egos can't accept. Refreshing to watch an approach that involves no fear. Kudos Dewayne!
I agree with you 100%. One thing I will add. Start with a good one. I just gave one away. After 8 months , he was as wild as he was the first day. I bought a good one. After 8 days she was acting like she had been handled all of her life. Same cowboy, same method , but a better horse.
I'm in my fifties. Been working horses most of my life, grew up in the farm. But I'm always learning and really glad I found your videos. It's validated a lot of what I've done. And learned a few new things to try in the future. Thanks for all you do.
I truly miss my horses. I can honestly say that for all the years I spent with them … they taught me more than I ever taught them. Needless to say, there’s nothing I find boring about a horse.
Your method allows life to advance without the drama that force always creates. (People, dogs & horses). The life ends up understanding without resentment. Understanding allows life to progress and advance without knocking the spirit out of them. It’s that spirit that makes life special.
So educational. As someone who wants to own and ride horses one day this channel is gold. Thanks for the videos. When I have my own horses I’m coming back to this channel for guidance.
Good video. Love to see the young horses learning to communicate with you. I saw so much more than the first saddle pad and saddling. She was at a whole new level of learning patience and discipline. The subtle finger pointing to keep her from coming in to your space and trying to control you instead of you controlling her. Looking forward to seeing her progress in training. Best wishes to you and Momma.
I didn't find this boring at all. I love watching you work. Your endless knowledge and patience are uplifting. Rare qualities these days. And the horse is absolutely beautiful.
Duane, you crack me up! I haven’t ridden in 50 yrs but I am loving watching you. But, in this video, everything you talked about, in my opinion, could apply to raising children. My daughter and I were at odds from the time she was 10. Although I was raised by a good mom, I also learned if I was told something, I did it. Not realizing everyone is different, I expected her to obey. Yeah, right! Lol-but, now I know and I wanted to tell you, keep up the wisdom because it can apply elsewhere!!!!
Thanks for the video. The time you take working with Rodeo is appreciated. Buy her cigars that you like. She'll likely not be into smoking them. Then you will have to smoke them. This was definitely not boring.
Hello Dwayne, I would like to thank you here in this video, on behalf of all your videos. I find they are mostly very informative but always very pleasant. I am a dog trainer myself and I appreciate your calm way pleasant honest of working. Your calm manner is very pleasant to see and listen to.
Hearing that your wife send you tik toks and that you watch them and understand what’s going on with it is such a testament to your character that you’re willing to adapt to new things and not set in your ways. So much respect
Not boring! So glad to finally find someone else that understands and things the way I have taught and treated my young baby horses! Even turned them loose on trail rides while riding their mom/mare! Let the babies figure out cactus on their own and hiking trails figure out people hiking and wild Life! So once of age to ride everything was normal
Hi Rodeo 🐴 You have gotten so big and Beautiful . I love love this video! Our Bear turned 1 years old today! Now He’s a Yearling. We have a wonderful Horse . And so much of the reason is we are listening to your advice . Take our time . Don’t ask too much . I think of your words a lot when I am with Bear . Thank you and love seeing your Patreon Pictures 😇🐴😇
This was not boring at all. Very interesting and educational and entertaining too. Thank you. Love the tennis ball! 😁 When I was 10 years old I rode a lot at a riding stable. I was on a large pony, Quick Silver was her name and she did have an attitude. She turned around and tried to bite my leg and I guess it was just instinct, but I gave her the hardest kick with the top of my foot, not my toe, but she never tried it again, with my anyway. So as you said, it works, and I met her snout with the flat top of my small foot with lots of force and within that short time period you mentioned. She was fine for the rest of the ride. I never owned my own horse but I would have been a good Wrangler if I could have had the chance. So I love you videos. thanks a lot, Joyce “ a wanna be Wrangler”!
That's the way it's done Taking ones time goes a long way Common sense don't rush the horse repetitive movements trust No bucking allowed When I start a horse under saddle I hobble them so they can't buck.Everything you did I agree with good job horseman.Looking forward to the next video
Would it be possible for you to do a video on the following subjects: How to safely transport a horse cross country. What makes a good pasture. How to care for a horse, i.e. when to shoe your horse, how often should your horse be seen by a vet. How to care for your horse during extreme weather conditions, i.e. tornados, extrem heat and cold. In advance, thank you. Your videos give me so much enjoyment. All my best, Steve Wilson.
Anyone watching that was bored better check their pulse, they might be dead. The humor alone. One thing I noticed is for corrections about not eating and stuff you used the same phrases and voice tone. One thing I remember with my limited horse experience is getting to know a particular horse's body gestures and sounds as or before they do a certain thing. That goes both ways. Horses don't understand English, but they totally understand sounds tones and gestures. To me that was as much value to the session as the blanket and saddle. Thanks for s great lesson and visit. The world would be a much better place if people did more old school visiting. You're a guru if the visit my friend. Take care.
Very interesting, as your videos usually are, Dewayne. A couple questions, if you don't mind. You always insist on not letting the horse nibble at the grass while being trained or handled - is it simply to make her pay attention to you and not get distracted? Or is there some more important principle involved? Nor would you let her turn her nose to you, why d'you insist on that? Could you please explain it, or maybe mention both things in the next training video? Thanks in advance.
its probably a mixture of both distraction but also probably that you dont want her to think she can just graze when its time to work. From personal experience its a pain for the wrangler and the rider if their horse keeps of stoping to graze during a ride. It might look easy to pull a horses head up, but if you got a kid on the horse it quickly becomes very frustrating. So its best to teach the horse that when its time to work, its not time to graze.
Not boring at all. I understand not wanting to spook her by having the saddle pad fall, but at some point, I'd desensitize her to the saddle pad moving and falling. That way, if something happens down the road, like a stirrup knocking it off, she doesn't get overly spooked by it, and is ready for it.
I don't know anything about horses, but I do know you are wrong about one thing. This video isn't boring. Rodeo is quite a character. Made me laugh plenty.
Will you send me your address I live in maynardville Tennessee north of Knoxville Tennessee but I would like to meet you and I have had horse all my live I enjoy your talk
It’s not good to have a grazie horse when you’re trying to ride. Let them know there’s a time for work and a time for eating. Just trying to keep her focused I think
I think this fella is half quarter horse. He knows what the horse will do before he does it.. . .. well, if you spend your life fooling with them that is the way it is
Not boring, fascinating! Building on her success with patience and communication. She's "just a baby", taking baby steps and learning as fast as she is capable. Thank you.

Boring? Oh, no. This was very well done! 😄
I agree with you 100%. One thing I will add. Start with a good one. I just gave one away. After 8 months , he was as wild as he was the first day. I bought a good one. After 8 days she was acting like she had been handled all of her life. Same cowboy, same method , but a better horse.

This is the way I have always saddled a young horse. I’m glad to see people know how to do this.
I truly miss my horses. I can honestly say that for all the years I spent with them … they taught me more than I ever taught them. Needless to say, there’s nothing I find boring about a horse.
She's a pretty filly. I heard a cowboy once say all horses think about is food, where to get it and how not to become it!
Your method allows life to advance without the drama that force always creates. (People, dogs & horses). The life ends up understanding without resentment. Understanding allows life to progress and advance without knocking the spirit out of them. It’s that spirit that makes life special.
Ain’t nothing boring about your videos my friend
Rodeo stood there like she was doing that saddle thing for years. Sweet little baby!
Boring this was not. I don’t have horses, but I feel like you’re helping me communicate with my dog. Love your videos, keep up the good work Dwayne!

There ya go. Relationship always comes first. Well done.

This is EXACTLY why my wife and I will be at the school in October! Loved this!
Nice gentle nature 👌👍
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. I think that sums it up.
Beautiful setting and beautiful way about slow smart training. Taking time shaves time off.

IMPRINTING IS SO SO IMPORTANT
You are absolutely right the way you're training the horses the human is the problem
awesome video dewayne thank you....

Was not boring at all. Very infomative
Act like you have 15 minutes, it'll take all day. Act like you have all day it'll take you 15 minutes.
~My good friend Frank
Interesting and very educational.
Nicely done! Natural horsemanship.
You can tell based on her attitude on how well she's handled and trained
Excellent work Dwayne 👍🐝
Such a pretty filly and what a nice temperament. (The HORSE ). 🙂
Sweet ! both the video and Rodeo
Awesome not boring!
This was anything but boring- very educational- well done as always

She's a beauty. ❤
Excellent approach
Calm but assertive respectfully

I didn't find this video boring. I found it very informative. Looking forward to seeing you train her to smoke cigars....lol
Aww what a good girl.
Very interesting, as your videos usually are, Dewayne.

No smoking cigars. Hilarious.
“That ain’t a horseman” - Indeed!
You look like grandpa from that show heartland! Even looks like the barn kinda 😅
Oh shit…. You ARE grandpa from Hearst land huh? 🤣 my bad! You were always WAY better cowboy than Sam Elliot in my opinion☺️
No, I’m not the grandpa from heartland. I’ve never even seen the show, but I do get that a lot.

'A boring little video'...........that is a good thing when doing the first saddling.
I just want to tell you you're cool people just don't take the time anymore
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
The Apache language had no word for the word horse. The word they used translates to English as big dog......
How old is that filly?
Where is your place I would like to meet you I am 73 and I would just like meet you
We are outside of Pulaski, TN
Will you send me your address I live in maynardville Tennessee north of Knoxville Tennessee but I would like to meet you and I have had horse all my live I enjoy your talk
Sure. It’s 246 Access Rd, Pulaski TN
Why you didn't let her eat grass ?Is that for training purposes ?
Why wouldn't he let her eat the grass?
What's the reason for not letting her graze? Wouldn't it put her mind at ease while she gets used to the saddle?
It’s not good to have a grazie horse when you’re trying to ride. Let them know there’s a time for work and a time for eating. Just trying to keep her focused I think
Wants her attention on him
curious why you were so against her grazing during the video
dople have no patience anymore
Sooooo, not your first rodeo? 🫤
I think this fella is half quarter horse. He knows what the horse will do before he does it.. . .. well, if you spend your life fooling with them that is the way it is
why don't you want her to eat?
He wants her attention on him. Helps him communicate with her better
