    Hi Spencer. Can you tell us how much ( how many gallons ) you used to wash that roof? I’m wondering how many times you fill that tank up on a job. Thanks

      There’s plenty of videos on here, but the budget way is a 12vt (volt) pump, a car/marine battery, a 50-75-100 gallon tank(plastic you’ll see) then the hoses, a gun etc. look up the king of pressure washing, forever self employed, lean mean academy Arron is his name, all American power wash, Powerful improvements, the fresh rinse… you can start off window & gutter cleaning, smaller services to get you into the door. I have like 4-5 playlists all about this stuff. Except for the D2D, the rest are pretty under P

    Don't scrub the roof! Just spray the bleach on, do not rinse and just leave. Come back and retreat once a week until it's gone. Scrubbing loosens the granules and is not good or recommended by the asphalt shingle administration. Just treat and leave, no rinse. It'll dry up and kill the moss and it'll just fall off. Every time it rains it'll reactivate the bleach and work again. Really bad roofs usually take between 2-4 sessions. The biggest roofs only take about an hour or two to spray. There is no hard labor in Soft Wash. The chlorinating liquid (don't use laundry bleach it's not as good) does all the hard work. That is the whole beauty of it! Same result way less effort. You're welcome good sir.

    Thanks Spencer for your videos they've really helped me a lot. I've been doing a few roofs and the moss is dried and absolutely locked into the cracks of the shingles. It doesnt seem to get dislodged as easy as in your videos. How do you go about removing it or when do you say fuck it and move on? Its something im struggling with because I want to do a good job. Thanks again for all the videos!

      Thanks bro 🙏 I’ve never rinsed and don’t plan on it, whole idea is to get chemical onto the roof to prevent future moss growth

    Aren’t you worried about granule loss on the shingles from scraping and brushing?

    • @Jaximus37
      @Jaximus37 7 месяцев назад

      As a roofer, that is something to consider which is why you need to be careful not to push too hard. You want to keep as many granules on the roof as possible while getting off as much moss / algae. Moss can hold moisture and overtime cause damage to your roof / roof decking. Its why he said in the video that the insurance agency wouldnt insure anyone with moss on their roof.
      Newer shingles come with zinc and copper and whatnot in some of their granules that release over the course of 25 years to prevent moss and algae however, on these older roofs if you have a shaded house you can be susceptible to mold / algae. Algae wont necessarily cause any damage but it does look bad.

      @@seattleprowash5464 i shouldve been more specific mb. GAF shingles come with their stainguard plus warranty, which is if you get moss / algae on your roof within 25 years and come with what i spoke about. Its not all new shingles
