Ok, I don't know why they started doing these, but I really love all of the improv videos they've been putting out on the main channel. They may not have as much production quality as prewritten sketches, but goddamn, these videos are so funny. Keep it up, I'd love to see more of these!

@@Xepherya The sketches are kinda becoming stale, all Smosh does now are Smoffice sketches. It's a good way to get people to stop comparing Smosh's new sketches to their classic ones. Also, Smosh's sketches are like only 3 mins now with half the video being bloopers
The improv is way better. I stopped subscribing to the main channel for a while because it just was kind of stale. But this is good stuff.
I love that you can tell Shayne and Damien have been friends for a long time, they way they started intentionally trying to trip each other up for each setup in such an escalating way was hilarious.
This is the presentation Ian and Anthony gave before selling Smosh for $0.

I love this. I've seen a similar format done on Impractical Jokers, but I think with everyone in the room having prior knowledge that these two are clearly pulling this out of their asses live it's 10x better.
it's a common format for improv, this might be my favorite tho it's so funny
Lmao idk, the audience being in on it definitely makes the whole situation more comfortable. But seeing an audience try to grapple with what’s going on totally unaware it’s a joke also sounds pretty funny
When Damian said "survival is not thrival" I had a flashback to a department wide mandatory mental health zoom thingy during lockdown, where the conma.. motivational speaker actually said that exact sentence. Except they said it with sincerity, as if it was clever.

Damien and Shayne are the perfect duo. This is pure chaos and brilliant, opaque, neglectful, effervescent and really? At same time.
The moment where they both realized the other one was trying to be E is pure gold.
Ever since I subscribed when they started TNTL, this is the stuff I was expecting them to do! I love the scripted sketches and Smoffice but they all shine so brightly doing improv in TNTL, funerals, exes, and now this!! I absolutely love what they’re doing with main channel videos!!!!
Especially with Courtney as TNTL has helped her comedy to improve better and better

I can confidently say that Shayne and Damien can convince me at anything, even if it's bs.

Damien's improv is really strong. The balance of strong improv + the humourous reaction to that improv that Shane provides is perfect (not to say Shayne's own improv isn't good). We need more of this!
One of the perks of knowing the crew is that you can spot them in the background like "Oh, that's Selina! And there's Jesse, there's Liv, and also Rachel!"
Smosh members has said more than once that their staff are incredibly funny people so it's not a shock we know who they are and their name considering we have been seeing them from time to time

I love that smosh is taking more of an improv route, it really is their strong suit. Would love to see more 'Games that we made up', especially more Whose Line Is It Anyways.
I absolutely loved this! Damien and Shayne were perfect for this and did great. If they end up making this a series and doing more of them, I’m all for it!

I would argue Olivia and Keith as pair, Keith just can never improve with whatever Olivia head is thinking
Granted most of Smosh members can't keep up with Olivia bits but Keith seems the most confused and done with her whenever they do bits together

I worked several years in AV hospitality, where I had to listen and support presentations from different companies in their meetings. This is not far off for what actually happens.

these kinds of improv videos literally make me laugh so hard, to see their raw humor without a script is just hilarious, not to mention that damien and shayne are the perfect duo for this video.
I've watched the Impractical Jokers do a variation of this and it is quite funny. However, the Smosh audience being in on it and participating makes the jokes so much better! Big prompts! I especially loved the sing-alongs.
I love it when Shayne and Damien just get free rein to use all their improv skills to the fullest.
And this is why Shayne and Damien are my 2 favourite jokers to exist.

I love seeing these ones where they just get thrown in the deep end, similar vibe to the leaked search histories vibes in a way. Something about unscripted stuff when you can tell that someone is both reacting to the prompt and attempting to stifle that while improvising simultaneously, it never fails to get me. The little breaks in character, like the bit with Shayne not knowing what effervescent meant kill me lmao. Whoever pitched/brainstormed this concept is a legend, reminds me v fondly of one of my fave jackbox games (talking points?) but cranked up a few notches.
Damien absolutely came in swinging with this one and everybody had me laughimg. Great video
