So nice to see a couple so well matched and in sync. Most important decision you will ever make is choosing the right partner. These two got it right. Love your videos Bob. Hope to meet you someday.
Yes sir, sleeping with another human being can BECOME complicated! Been married twice and I said I'll never sleep in the same bed again. Always said I'd have my own bedroom if I ever get married again. They have a GREAT arrangement!
Bob, you struck gold when you met Casey, what an intelligent and creative individual, and his explanation was very interesting, succinct. I love his ideas, during the whole interview, I kept saying to myself when does the creativity end? This guy is a wealth of knowledge and innovation, impressive, and very likable
Love this video. We went from tent to a class C Ford Thor coach freedom elite. We love it. We sleep in separate beds too. No slides. Have only had it a year
Bob, you inspire me. my dreams are becoming plans. I see myself living in/out of my vehicle in the near future. These people are great, so creative, so nice. I want to meet all the nice folks I see in your vids and you.
I'm still starting out in a B, but once I retire and go full time, that size C looks like a sweet spot. I toured a couple of large RV dealers, and the small C's seem to off a lot in a smaller pkg. Add a motorbike for transport, and I'd be set.
Great video . Casey and Sharon are great . I love their sense of humor they are a funny couple . . I was stationed in their home state of Kansas in Wichita @ McConnell Air Force Base from March ' 72 - May ' 73 .
I love the out front sleeping arrangement! When I had fibromyalgia I begged to have my own bed and when finally in another room I started to heal! A fireman friend told me sleep is NOT a luxury you must have it! Visiting privileges are a perk now and not a sentence of deprivation.
Great segment. Your enthusiasm for this life changing adventure inspires. You both clearly enjoy each other and happy. How refreshing. ? You shared some of your finances to do this, what do you use for medical coverage? Is it a significant cost in your budget? Tks for sharing.
Bob, we love the videos. Just a thought - after watching most of your videos - may I suggest a collection video of the different methods people cook. Again, just a suggestion. We can not wait until we can go full time. We will be doing trial runs and research until then.
My husband suggested we do this a little while ago, I've been watching so many videos about full time RVing and getting very hopeful that we can do this after our youngest graduates HS and is on her own. Unless she wants to go with us lol after school. I think a class c would be perfect for a couple!
They seen like an awesome couple. I love to know more about those campgrounds that are 5 bucks a night for no electric. here in Iowa no electric is 14-16 bucks a night.
Thanks. Really nice happy people, glad they found some freedom from the rat race, & Bob you sure are a possitive influence in this movement. In this crazy day & age thank God for Bob Wells.
I really like their setup. Would be nice to know what all modification details he did as well as the equipment. His rig really fits the bill for my wife and I for easy convenient living. Thanks Bob for the interview.
Yes people do but not Dodge or Chevy rigs so much. Ford is the king for lifting up, at least before the new Ford transits which I have not seen a lift. That is why I would get a Ford class B or C, so it could be lifted or 4x4ed. I have seen lifts done on the larger GMC commercial trucks though. Here is an example of some Ford vans lifted. www.actionvansuspension.com/system.php
The other advantage Ford has, and it is HUGE, is that it has offers the same long body as the Chevy without the long wheelbase. So between that and the ability to lift, or 4x4, easier than Chevy, Ford wins for me and I am not a Ford fan, believe me. I am more a Toyota fan actually.
enjoyed all your videos.....hopefully we could join you this winter and learn about stuff....we just bought our RV and has not had anything except the basics....we are planning to leave IL soon but don't have any idea where to go yet....our experience so far is going to a state park 2 miles from our house and 3 days in Wis....
You are absolutely welcome to come to the next RTR where there are seminars on many facets of being a nomad. I also encourage you to visit cheaprvliving.com if you haven't done so. The forum covers most topics and there are a lot of articles that may help as well.
That is the exact layout I'm wanting. I figured it would make it easier to keep cool/warm with the area one room rather than a separate bedroom area. Plus it will go almost anywhere.
That's what we thought until we rented a 24' class C (similar to this one in the video). It was too big (wide mostly) and we had to mind parking more than expected and the mpg was much worse than we had anticipated
Most class c are going to get sucky mpg. You have to figure out what you want more. Size for comfort, storage, options, or mileage. Bob did a great video about this subject. If your looking for good gas mileage then a class B/van is the best route.
Yeah. No matter which way you go there are going to be trade offs. But your being smart renting to discover your likes/dislikes before investing your money.
Hello I enjoy your channel and was wondering if you have info on doing this in Canada I live in Vancouver BC I can go to the States Washinton and Oregon. I have learned alot and would like to learn more.
oops, I see it's coming up in next video. .awesome. I'm seriously hoping to do this someday. working on paying down debt for now....but it won't be long...😊
Great video and great couple. I am just beginning research on this lifestyle. What do you do about where you are considered to be residing with an address, for insurance, and for taxes? Bob keep up the good work!
What is the difference between a boondocking converter, generator, battery from a different type? Is it that they are more self contained and will go for more days at a time?
Abstract Possibilities good luck, the newer class c's are over priced and the good looking older ones are usually shot.. you can get lucky and find a happy medium
True, that's why you have to plan to spend time searching to find a good one. Even then, make sure you get an RV inspection before purchasing. I know I'll be getting used and plan to remodel/repair, install modifications, solar, and so on for 6mos-a year before hitting the road full time. That way it's ready, I know it's quirks, and have it done the way I need it to be for full time living. They had several modifications that are ingenious on their rv. (Was in the next video)
G'day Bob, I hope you & Cody are enjoying yourselves, I am a little confused with the size of the RV's you are talking about. In the interview it sounds like a class B is smaller than a class C when he mentioned his next RV would be a Ford 4X4 Class B, can you tell me approximately the sizes of a Class A,B & C please. I know you have super sizes but just the rule of thumb would be good enough. As you know I am in Australia & have a 31ft 32,000 lb 4X4 Expedition truck that we live in full time & would be curious to know what class it would come into. Kind Regards & Safe Travels Mate, Steve.
The class is decided by the body type rather than length. In Australian terms, a bus is a class A even if it's a 21ft Hino. Class C is defined by having the bed over the cab, Class B isn't really referred to in Australia but examples are Sprinter-based campervans.
Hi Bob, I am about to become a new boondocker. I do not understand what this couple said about using her parents for mail. I did get a ups box po for several months, but I do not have family to help with mail. please help me understand this issue
Melinda Rose, they are using the address for tax purposes and mail. You need a legal address. Escapees offer that option and then can forward anything you need to the nearest post office where you are. Many videos about this. Check your po box and see if they offer mail forwarding. There is usually a fee involved. Escapees my seem expensive but the long run worth it as they sort out junk mail, if your looking for something specific in the mail you can call them and see if it came in and have them forward it. Forwarding is included, I'm not sure if there is a limit to how often, but look up their website. Great club to join as has many benefits.

Newbie question......what is a slide?
Bob, you inspire me. my dreams are becoming plans. I see myself living in/out of my vehicle in the near future. These people are great, so creative, so nice. I want to meet all the nice folks I see in your vids and you.
This is exactly why I started the RTR Roses, and you are more than welcome to attend the next one.
I'm still starting out in a B, but once I retire and go full time, that size C looks like a sweet spot. I toured a couple of large RV dealers, and the small C's seem to off a lot in a smaller pkg. Add a motorbike for transport, and I'd be set.
I'm parked near a gentleman doing just that.
This couple has great energy and did a lot of research and preparation for this!
Oh, here its! Thank you! Love these people and I really love their rig. Thanks for two great videos, Bob!
Great video . Casey and Sharon are great . I love their sense of humor they are a funny couple . . I was stationed in their home state of Kansas in Wichita @ McConnell Air Force Base from March ' 72 - May ' 73 .
‘The Boss’!!!
Bob, I have made it to Prescot! I am staying here and resting a day and will head to your location tomorrow if you are still,in E. Thanks, Donna
GREAT couple, ding LIFE "their own way !!!!!!
"Thanks" Bob for doing this interview with Casey & Sharon .....
Indeed they had a vision of what they wanted and put the work in to make it happen.
I love the out front sleeping arrangement! When I had fibromyalgia I begged to have my own bed and when finally in another room I started to heal! A fireman friend told me sleep is NOT a luxury you must have it! Visiting privileges are a perk now and not a sentence of deprivation.
I'm happy to hear you found an arrangement that works for you and your health.

you're just an excellent interviewer...thanks for another great tape.
Thanks for telling us your experience about RV camping I love it.
My husband suggested we do this a little while ago, I've been watching so many videos about full time RVing and getting very hopeful that we can do this after our youngest graduates HS and is on her own. Unless she wants to go with us lol after school. I think a class c would be perfect for a couple!
Wow! A lot of really good ideas to use in this video. While we have a GMC Starcraft Conversion Van 2500, we still got a lot from this one!
Great couple! Very inspiring for the future.
Lovely to see this interview. Thank you.
Thanks for watching eileenfb1948!
Interesting interview, I have learned a lot. But I am still waiting to see what you are doing with the build on your new van, Bob.
Patience :)

Thank you for the kind words Terry. :)
I love watching your interviews. Thank you
I really like their setup. Would be nice to know what all modification details he did as well as the equipment. His rig really fits the bill for my wife and I for easy convenient living. Thanks Bob for the interview.
It was our pleasure, thanks for watching!
Good review, nice couple, great rv., looking forward to in depth rv review to come, thanks Bob.
what a wonderful and encouraging couple. thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Lucky man to have such a GREAT WIFE,who was willing to go OTR.
Fun interview. Love the confirming comment about a 4x4 class B.
this may be a dumb question, but do people ever lift regular RV's for more ground clearance?
Yes people do but not Dodge or Chevy rigs so much. Ford is the king for lifting up, at least before the new Ford transits which I have not seen a lift. That is why I would get a Ford class B or C, so it could be lifted or 4x4ed. I have seen lifts done on the larger GMC commercial trucks though. Here is an example of some Ford vans lifted.

Thanks for the helpful information.

Ford offers a 4x4 class C..? or you talking a Van 4x4 ?
Great video Bob, great couple. Thanks for tip on Escapees.

The Ozarks are real nice. Look around tablerock lake it is south of Springfield, Mo. Good fishing, good camping, nice weather.

Yeah I figured the mpg was going to be bad but it was horrifying. Also, there were situations where I wished it was 2 or 3 feet shorter.
Yeah. No matter which way you go there are going to be trade offs. But your being smart renting to discover your likes/dislikes before investing your money.
Those are some definate positives with this model Lisa.
What a nice pair. They're living the dream!
This was extremely helpful in my planning. Thank you.
Steve, I'm so glad it helped. :)
Awesome! How lovely to be free!
Hello I enjoy your channel and was wondering if you have info on doing this in Canada I live in Vancouver BC I can go to the States Washinton and Oregon. I have learned alot and would like to learn more.
Too bad this global covid manipulation. I'm in Canada too.
tour of the inside would have been good to see...
oops, I see it's coming up in next video. .awesome. I'm seriously hoping to do this someday. working on paying down debt for now....but it won't be long...😊

Very charming couple! ☆
Thanks for watching Dorothy!
Very cute couple and a nice story.
They sound like they have it all together!
I see what you mean about all the info. Great stuff Bob.
:)
I sure hope to run into Bob someday with my Storm Chaser!
Sounds interesting!
I'm guessing the advantage of buying a rental camper is that they are regularly used so not sitting for long periods?
Casey has a great speaking voice
Cool couple!!
Thanks for watching Shelly!
What is the difference between a boondocking converter, generator, battery from a different type? Is it that they are more self contained and will go for more days at a time?
boon dockers rule !! Thumbs up !!
I think this is the way I will go, time to research for the one that meets my needs
Abstract Possibilities good luck, the newer class c's are over priced and the good looking older ones are usually shot.. you can get lucky and find a happy medium
used is what I think I am looking for med range, maybe in a few monthhs, finances are everything lol

Abstract Possibilities FYI, this floor plan is in the Winnebago and tioga brand.
Lisa Trahan thank you
have you looked into trans. and engine coolers
I was wondering if the couple REALLY sleep separately in differently beds? To each their own?
G'day Bob, I hope you & Cody are enjoying yourselves, I am a little confused with the size of the RV's you are talking about. G'day & thank you very very much for clearing that up for me, that's great.
Have a great day & Kind Regards, Steve.
Lots of money questions by Bob. :) Dude is tired of the grind- they'll figure it out... *A.
