I don't know about programming, but in physics a vector is just a line originating from a specific point with a specific facing direction and magnitude. Basically an arrow.
I was taught vectors in school, not sure what's confusing about them? They're just a direction and a magnitude which can be broken up into components of the coordinate system.
+LB Vectors are much more than just that. They can describe the position, velocity, acceleration, jerk, etc. of an object. They can be made into a force field which relates to work along a certain path. Plus they have special ways to calculate with them such as cross product and dot product. There is a reason why Calculus 3 is completely dedicated to vectors and how they work in a third dimensional graph.

The mod uses a compiler for the spells, so I'd assume it's simplifying your spell down to a simple set of instructions meaning interpretation is cheaper than it would be otherwise, so there's that. And in a lot of other cases, mods already have this level of complexity, and then some, what with power networks, advanced multi-block machinery, etc.

+Theo Sandstrom It's a special forgecraft pack that is used for the development of mods. There is a version of it on the FTB launcher I believe but it probably won't have all the mods you see in Dires series.

I'm the VEEECTORRRSSS guy, graphics programming is basically all vectors, think of them as an array a numbers such as (1, 2, 3) vectors can hold an infinite amount of numbers however most spplications are limited to 4 because XYZW RGBA ect

I'm getting the feeling that this mod is an elaborate troll for Dire. I mean, as far as complexity goes I don't think Vazkii van do better. It's like "to make this spell work you need to multiply its metadata by the square root of pi, add 2.5c factorial, and then divide by 9 squared while standing on your head!". Simple, right?
