    Sounds like a great plan. My question now is what if my bankroll is not in the ranges explained in this video should I even be playing?

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  2 года назад +3

      You should be able to use these strategies at any bankroll, as long as you can play at least $5-$10 a night you should be good to go

  • @Schwidawg
    @Schwidawg Месяц назад

    Is this strategy still viable in 2024? Also, when "Entering a unique lineup into every entry", does this mean entering a different lineup into every entry or the same lineup into every entry when playing a single-entry contest? Thank you for the contest. This is a great video for us beginners.

      Hey good question! Yes it's definitely still our recommended contest selection framework that we tell users about.
      In the example you gave you would put a different lineup into every single entry.
      So if you have 100 entries you use 100 different lineups.

    I just came back to look at this again to readjust my habits, and was wondering, how do you get the Margin/Overlay percentages below those contests?

      Hey great question! It's a chrome extension. It's called rotogrinders - draftkings tools. It's free.

    Sabersim shines at MMEs meaning 20 max and mainly 150 max. You still recommend up to 50% of the $100 into elevator contests? How come? Won’t it be tougher to win those since non sabersim users can hand build very solid single entry lineups and 3 max?

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  2 года назад +1

      Single-entry and 3-max contests are some of the softest contests in the lobby because there are so many people entering cash lineups in there and there are so many unique individual entrants that the average skill level of the player in the contest is low. We call them "elevators" because they elevate your ROI because of how soft they play, you just need to be able to weather the swings of variance from the fact that you're just getting to play a single or 3 lineups into them.

    • @SkullEZClap
      @SkullEZClap 2 года назад +1

      @@SaberSim Ah alright so you guys think elevators are just softer in general that's why you have them included into your recommended contests. I just don't know if I would make the right choices for those single entries and 3 max... Or do you think Sabersim can be fully trusted even for single entries and 3 max?? Thanks

    I know this is an older video, but I'm going to start following this method. How should this be adjusted if you play multiple sports?....should the bankroll and total percentage be just an overall for the day kinda thing, or should you set a bankroll limit for each sport each day?

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  Год назад

      Good question! We recommend the bankroll allocation should be on a sport by sport basis. If you are playing multiple sports in a day I would lean towards the lower side (2.5%)

  • @ivangotyokes
    @ivangotyokes Год назад

    What I've started to notice is a lot of people using sims now and many duped lineups because of this at the top. Sims used to be an edge before the majority of the public knew about them but now everyone uses them so there really isn't much of an edge. Every player's PFP is some sim or fantasy expert logo.

    • @SaberSim

      Edges get smaller and new edges emerge. Just have to keep trying to figure out the next way to exploit the field!

    While this video uses a daily slate in mind, would you consider a similar system if you were primarily a NFL main-slate DFS player? My gut says you have to go higher than 5% of whole bankroll if you're only seeing

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  Год назад

      Good question! I would still play within the bounds here. An NFL season compared to an NBA or MLB season is so short when you combine the number of "main slates." You have 18 main slates in NFL just counting regular season and in either other sport mentioned you get 6ish months of main slates. This just tells me that the results from an individual NFL season can be so variant that I would actually want to be more careful with my bankroll since I don't have as many slates for that variance to get smoothed out over time.

  • @TalootB
    @TalootB 2 года назад +2

    $197 is 13% of your bank roll, 2-5% is way less. I dont get the part where using $100 as example works at 2.5% you can only enter the 20 max .10cent games once a day. Unless your saying deposit $100 and use the entire amount on the games you mentioned. Basically a one shot

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  2 года назад +4

      Sorry for the confusion! In my $100 example I am assuming that the player has at least a $2000 bankroll, and in the $200 example I'm assuming that the player has at least a $4000 bankroll. In other words the $100 example and $200 example mean the daily wager = $100 and $200, not the total bankroll.

    If I am playing multiple slates like the Main slate, early slate, turbo slate, and late slate for the same sport and day, should I still just use 2%-5% of my bankroll in total for all the slates combined or is something else appropriate?

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  10 месяцев назад

      Great question. The 2-5% is meant to be across correlated slates. So if games are overlapping between the slates I would use that 2-5% as a total for all the slates.

    including the quarter juke here is negative EV no? If you have the absolute nuts lineup for that day and it happens to land in the quarter juke instead of say the mini max thats a $2-$3K difference.

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  2 года назад +2

      Your best lineup is just as likely to end up in your lowest dollar fee contest as it is your highest. The point here is to get as many unique lineups in play as possible, and being able to play 20 lineups for just $5 in the quarter jukebox is a really good way to smooth out the variance

  • @mjc8052

    Is it a waste of time to enter 1 or 2 lineups into a large field 150 max? Less sharper players in those.

  • @SkullEZClap

    Why only 100 entries in the mini-max?

    • @SaberSim
      @SaberSim  2 года назад

      I only want to play at max 75% of my daily wager in diversifier contests, so I hit that limit after just 100 entries in the mini-MAX
