Tin Man had so many great lines. King ❤️ A Prayer for Owen Meany is on my year TBR because of The Great American Read List 😊

    Wow! What a Stack!
I'm anxious to hear what you think of some of these.
Historical Fiction, June on the Range, and Summer Book Bingo are my June events. Though, Big Book Summer I will qualify for also.
    Happy Reading.

I really loved The Invisible Hour, but it really feeds off of The Scarlet Letter (which is one of my favorite books). It's a bit of a cilantro book, but I kind of felt like it was written for me. If that one doesn't work, I'd recommend The World The We Knew by Alice Hoffman, which is WWII fiction (I know! But this one is quite different!) and still fulfills the same prompt.

I haven’t read any of the books on your summer TBR, but I did put The Shining on my summer TBR because of you.

Great Stephen King picks - I agree those are both great movies - the stories are even better :) Love books set in New Orleans ♥ We used to live there, and it is still near and dear to my heart! I read Gone with the Wind for Big Book Summer a few years ago for Big Book Summer - it certainly qualifies! I really enjoyed Memoirs of a Geisha, too. I love John Irving but haven't read Owen Meany yet - I really want to! And good news - when I mentioned I was reading Lonesome Dove for the challenge in June, SO many people said they were reading it, too, that I made it our official readalong for Big Book Summer! Glad you decided to join the Big Book Summer fun! Be sure to add your link to the links list on the challenge page on my blog (linked in the notes below all my summer videos) - - that will help others find your channel, plus I'll share it on social media, AND you'll be entered in the end of summer giveaway drawing! You can also join the Goodreads group if you want to, to share your video link, see what everyone else is reading, and enjoy some Big Book chat all summer ... including discussion threads for Lonesome Dove :)

You’re the second person who’s mentioned King’s short stories. I guess I’ll have to dive into those soon. I’ll probably start Lonesome Dove today. 🤠

@@eringolive The ones you mentioned you're reading ARE both short stories! Looks like they republished them as stand-alones after the popularity of the movies, but they were both originally published in short story collections. I'm really enjoying Lonesome Dove!
