Fraser's reaction to RE7 was SO GOOD! That's basically how I felt, too. Actually I was sleeping during the conference and saw it later, so I actually saw that RE7 was announced, but instead of watching that separately I just watched through the conference from the start and when this "Kitchen" game was up I still had no feeling this was RE7 until that very clever VII turned into RESIDENT EVIL. Soooo good. Also love that the Japanese title uses the 7 in the Z of Biohazard.
I'm into that idea, but I hope that could just be the intro or first section. I still need my shooting, ammo and item management, puzzle solving, intrigue and cool enemy designs. I don't want it to just be Outlast.
I can't stop replaying the music-video ending reveal of the RE7 trailer. It's soooo good! The music, the visuals, the pacing. I don't expect RE7's gameplay will be anything like The Kitchen or the Demo, just like P.T. was said to be totally separate from Silent Hills. What excites me about RE7 is that in this video we heard this kick-ass song play, saw a dog's head decompose, a person in a wheelchair inside a mansion with a two level foyer (Spencer and the Spencer Mansion vibes) and we saw a black fungus spreading all over the final shots. This had STYLE, something RE6 lacked. RE6 was devoid of style. People may look back at RE1 and 2 as goofy now, but at the time, that shit terrified me. The tension of having no ammo, and one herb with zombies around every corner, not being sure where to go and getting lost in that mansion... then later discovering all the conspericies and what actually went down there. It was oozing style, which was lost around the time of RE4. Not trying to overhype a game we've never seen, but the promise that it won't be like RE4-5-6 is enough for me.

The conductor at the beginning is Bear McCreary. He's the composer on TV shows like Walking Dead, Agents of Shield, Battlestar Galactica and movies like Europa Report, Everly, 10 Cloverfield Lane. He's also a friend of James Rolfe and did the music for the AVGN movie. So to me as soon as I saw him it immediately was a big deal!
There is a rumor going around saying that they were going to reveal Red Dead Redemption 2 at the end of the conference. The reason why it wasn't shown was because there was a scene that had a character go into a saloon and killed everyone. Sony pulled it because it was too similar to the Orlando shooting. Hopefully RDR2 gets revealed very soon !

In that video Kojima said he was working with and collaborating with Sony with a new game franchise under his new Kojima Studios. So, they didn't say it was exclusive, but I think it was pretty heavily implied. Also, aside from that he's been tweeting tons of stuff from various Sony game devs around the world that he was visiting Marc Cerny, I believe.
I'm catching up on these videos. Man, Sony did really well! . I do like Krato's son, a gentle soul unlike his father. I don't want to make a really long comment so I won't mention every trailer. I especially enjoyed the Detroit trailer. As a whole, there were many good trailers and all pretty well executed.

Kojima has been keeping touch with him on twitter and if anything they'd get Del Toro back to help work on the game that never was. I think they'll do the horror game together after Death Stranding is done. Hopefully with more Norman Reedus.

There's a theory that Kratos will become Odin and that his son's name is Thor. He didn't say his name at all in the demo. Also, this is a sequel to God of War 3 many many years later. They switched it to Norse because they are showing that Kratos has lived and aged all the way up to the Norse age. I'm not sure how many years passed from Greek to Norse, but if it's a lot, then maybe Kratos just ages really slowly. There's also another theory that the kid may not even be Kratos' son.
I think it’s important not to get too carried away by presentation, because if presentation is the only basis in deciding who won E3, Sony won the moment they showed God of War. Fact is, God of War and Days Gone don't have a release date and that kinda kills it for me.
The gameplay is so different, I wonder if they took a game that had nothing to do with God of War and they just slapped Kratos on it to make it a new God of War game. Just like how Nintendo did with the North American version of Super Mario Bros. 2.
