I really like Bobby Deerfield! Sydney Pollack emulates the feeling of a sleek, existential European art film well

Haven’t heard of her but she has fantastic taste and I really like her thoughts on film. Good choices!

Gena Rowlands and Peter Falk gave tour de force performances in A Woman Under The Influence (1974). It's John Cassavetes at his best. A powerful film and a great pick.

You lost me at Irreversible. That film is so morally bankrupt, love for it is a character flaw.
