As a teenager, my neighbor loaned me his javelin to go cruising in another town. I don’t know what he did to it, but I was passing a semi, going 55 when I hit the gas. I was doing over 110 when I go to the front of the semi! One of the coolest cars I ever drove
Gorgeous Javelin AMX... Mark Donohue and a few others were tearing up Camaros, Cudas, Challengers, Mustangs back in Trans Am around then. With those AMC engines...sorry, Big Three!
Awesome car....!! And Really good restoration... I like a lot the idea to swap the carburator for injection; I would like to do the same with my javelin.... Enjoy your car.....!!
I'd be proud to own that Javelin AMX. Love the stance of the vehicle with cool wheels and fat tires stuffed inside the fenders. pehaps lowered a bit? For some reason AMC sold Javelins with ride hieghts of Jeeps and they looked dumb with skinny tires. But set the Javelin up like this and its looks absolutely bad ass!
I'm not sure what's going on with the last song "Burn Em" but very very nice resto. I just recently bought a 1974 AMX. Learning a lot from your video. I hope you make one of it running. Would love to hear it
A este cupe 73 javelin le queda vien subirle la suspensión atras y colocarle rines 14de 8 pulgadas alante y atras 👍 con 4 cauchos 235 60 r 14 god year es un buen cupe deportivo
Body prep: looks like the body was sandblasted? What was the first coat of paint you sprayed over the entire body inside and out? I can see that was followed by a high built polyester primer. Finished car came out nice. Thanks
What a beautiful restoration, how much does that typically cost? I recently inherited my dad's '72 Javelin after he passed. His dream was to restore it like this and I've been watching a bunch of videos (because I know nothing about cars) trying to figure out if there's any way I can realize his dream for him, even though he is no longer with us.
It all really depends on what kind of shape your dads car is currently in, just from seeing this finished product, I would say that car was easily creeping into the 6 figure range but it had a good amount of body work done to it which can be a good chunk of your costs as well as what looked to be a lot of new components.
I resto-modded my 1964 VW Beetle for about $20k.I did all the work except for the engine and transaxle. It took me five years. First time, in my garage. Result is absolutely stunning! Definitely worth it since this was my high school ride in 1988.
Yo al mio ke puse l8s retrovisores de un eletede landau de 1978 de esos que trajo el Ford conquistador del 90 eran de metal y lo asian ver más cupe version sedan 👍 el mio es vino tinto y con un motor 350 chevrolet
For your BMC Mini I have a ludicrous suggestion. The Yamaha R6 revs out to a lowly 16,000rpm. Yes quite insane considering timing chain and valve springs. I never thought it possible without F1 style air springs. Anyway, it's quite a small lightweight package. Put one in the front and the rear of the Mini. The weight will balance out and it's small enough to mount one in the boot keeping the back seat. While it may scream exactly like an F1 car, (before the shyte v6 garbage) (that entire drivetrain belongs "In the bin!") It will still be an entirely manageable 250hp all wheel drive. The throttle bodies are drive by wire, you could set the master ECU to rev match sounding like a single Ferrari F1 engine. Just a thought, awesome sounds but not dangerous with AWD. Love your channel, thanks for the content.

Hehehehe lol...don't be sorry! The Rambler Boys spoiled their share of Big-3 parties. 💪
Well done, and what a beautiful car 👍🤩
Well worth the restore
Mine was a Jolly Green on Green with stick and sidepipes, no louvers. 💚

2nd video u've made inserting unrelated cars to the build. 12.28 mark you have a beige car with n orange motor as part of the amc ?
Great looking car. What was the purpose of the LS/6spd pics in the video? Looked like a late 60s, early 70s GM midsize swap with that big bumper.
Interested in building more AMC's?
Nice, how long did it take?

I spent more than it's worth but I do not intend to sell it.

Nice job on the AMC, lose the soundtrack
