A long time ago, I visited their training ground in the suburbs of Beijing during a field trip before one of the bigger marches. They are all incredibly nice people, but their training schedules were insane.

These marches which are uncontested among the various disciplines is to be marveled like that of the Seven Wonders of the World. Both Chinese and North Koreans are no match. The strife for perfection combined with the mastery of the several art forms: uniforms, choreography, precise formation and movement, styles of marching - is not to be found nor duplicated anywhere. The Chinese and North Koreans invented the "Art of Marching" and all which supports the presentation - full stop.

A lot of people say Chinese army is made for parades. But what everyone fail to realize is that for this level of sync and perfection, you need crazy discipline, determination and strength. If they can do it for a simple parade then just imagine what they can do fighting for their motherland. China is not the typical Friday night propaganda maker. They don’t lie when it comes to military because they are smart and know that it won’t do the any good.

This moment 1:04 maaaan seeing all this synchronized brother in arms moving forward is epic and gives me goosebumps trying to imagine them moving forward in an actual battlefield
If they marched forward like this in an actually battlefield, a few things would happen. First, only the first few ranks can actually fire their weapons, and in such a tight formation they would be harming each other with brass and a bit of the concussion from their rifles. Second, only the perimeter troops can maneuver. These two together mean most of them are uselessly boxed into an old formation. Third, they would be crushed by artillery, mortars, air support, whatever. In these days, marching is good for marching and not much else.

After that it just looked like they have lost all interest in making good parades which is sad since India has some of the most exotic and colorful regiments 😍. Parades before 2016 used to be all bangers 🔥. Overall these Three Asian countries India China and Russia have the best parades in the whole world.

if i was ever in power there is one superpower i would not mess with...and that's ...CHINA.. give me America, and Europe, heck ill even mess with Russians but there is something about the absolute unity and discipline and terrifying single mind of Asia that shakes me to the bones. im British, and other countries preach unity and discipline but china actually means it. if china had the military hardware America has.... that would be a force not to be reckoned with.

The Chinese value stability more than anything, they don’t care if the government isn’t a western style democracy, as long as it’s stable and can serve the nation well then they have no complaints, this has dated back centuries through factors such as the heavenly mandate which gave the people the right to over throw the ruling government if there was instability.
I love this philosophy because I prefer a government which doesn’t host elections but ensures my safety and income, here in the west we are unsure if we can afford our energy bills or food, over there their gdp per capita has risen from 10000 USD to 20000 USD in only 10 years, of course the grass isn’t necessarily greener on the other side and they have their fair share of issues but at least the price of a bag of corn at their local super markets doesn’t jump up by 5x in 7 days (like ours)
