This channel is focused on motorcycle repairs, restorations and rebuilds. I sometimes post guides as well. I've been working on motorcycles the last couple years and pretty much do everything myself. It went from small motorcycle repairs, to building them from the ground up! I want to be able to share some guides that allow people to be more confident when working on their own motorcycles. From full motorcycle rebuilds and restorations, to motorcycle repair guides! Follow along and enjoy!

BlueDevil Head Gasket Sealer - Did it work? - 2006 Yamaha R6
Hey what’s the name of the tool you use to take the spinner nut off at 7:34
@@jaelinsmith3421 that is a spanner wrench.
@@twowheelthings thanks 🙏
@@twowheelthingsI think this is my last question but what size is that particular wrench I’m looking online and don’t know what size to make sure I have
I had the exact same issue and this works. Seriously Thank you for posting this video.
this alliexpres parts so garbage
That’s wild as fuck!
Seen the bike has black forks, sure its a 600? 750's got the black forks.
Does anyone know if a 06-07 gsxr 600 motor works in a 08
Only difference to my knowledge is the harness/computer for the modes.
That aint no wild fire
@@LaRSofficial69 😂
At 3:49 what happens if that washer falls into the engine? How far in does it go and how can you get it out?
@@BATGSXR1 you usually need to drop the oil pan. It usually ends up down there.
@twowheelthings thanks I saw someone had used a borescope with a magnet on the end gunna try that first so mad
@@BATGSXR1 sorry that happened. I believe the oil pan will be the best bet, but if you find a better way, please let us know.
@@twowheelthings got it with the borescope and a magnetic tip
@@twowheelthings posted the video to my page
I will sub
I love the bike
Sounds more like a Honda than a Harley
I just pulled off the carb and blew it all out with carb cleaner as it was gummed up a bit. Put it back together and it fired right up and ran like a champ. It sat for about 8 months without being started
Great to hear! Glad you got it up and running. Sometimes rebuilds are required, but not always. In this case, you got the good situation. Great work.
You change the date to the current date or a future date?
Change it to the current date.
Thank you for mentioning the it only primed when the tank was tilted, i had the same exact issue and it was stumped. You confirmed the ground issue is what i really need. I depinned the original connectors ground wire on the harness side and ran a new wire straight to the battery negative and she was good as new . And you can remove the tank without any extra steps too
I'm glad you got it fixed and taken care of! I was going to go ahead and go into the harness, but the customer just wanted a switch instead. You could solder a wire from the tank to the frame as well if you wanted to.
Thanks for the vid bro couldn’t have done it with out you
I'm glad I could help!
Can anyone send a 98 600 gxsr wiring diagram or that bypass set up
@@sevaslee4865 which bypass? Also, most diagrams are online. You generally can google them and find a decent one.
@twowheelthings i got 2 gsxrs to swap but one has a switch on it, i got some diagrams printed, hopefully they help just wish i had a book for that and fuel diagrams
Does it stay running when u flip switch?
Yes it does. The switch is to turn the pump on, so whenever the switch is activated, the pump runs.
@@twowheelthings did or do u know if customers bike ran fine? I have the same kinda issues. My pump works but when I connect it to ground harness I have no power
@@patrickyell3769 after using the switch, it ran perfectly after. It basically wasn't grounding the tank, which would then not give the fuel pump power.
@@twowheelthings last thing So with switch on it did it prime for a few sec then stop like normal or continuous.
@@patrickyell3769 with the switch, there's no priming. It just runs it continuously. If you're trying to fix it without that, do what I did with the wire that grounds it and solder it. It'll be better than having to flip a switch and having it run no matter what.
Hey there bro I have a 04 gsxr 1000 I was just wondering you located here in la because I need to have a bottom end rebuilt I have a spawn rod and people out here don’t really like to work on motor they sayed it’s to much etc if you know anybody can you point me in the right direction plz and thank you in advance…
I stripped the 5m Allen somehow I can’t get it off now
You can always try a Torx if you stripped it.
I just did my second gasket why does it keep leaking. Do I need gasket sealer. I just don't get it.
The gasket itself should work. If it doesn't you may need to just try some gasket maker instead. Something like Yamabond. It should seal better. A little goes a long way. Let me know what happens and if you need anymore help.
12:50 8mm allen key socket does the job every time to remove those. Not that hard.
These were completely round.
hey man i can’t seem to find the fasteners and rubber pieces for the odometer. any chance you know where to find then
You can probably find them on the schematic sites for OEM parts. If not, maybe eBay.
Nice try but...😂
How do u service them forks is it just oil or gas too? Or is there any gas at all? Thanks
It's fluid that goes inside. Basically an oil. You do need special tools.
How much would something like this cost to get done?
Around $2,000 most likey. Probably more from an actual shop.
Parts List would be sick!
What parts do you need exactly? I can help you.
If only there was a part II…
It'll be uploaded by Monday!
i’m confused how many washer the start part need
You put the washer around the pin, then push it in.
Looks str8 sick imo what do u do just register the Motor or frame surety bond?
It has a VIN. So it comes with a title.
@twowheelthings ok that's a good deal better feeling knowing your too legit 2 quit
Snub nosed street fighter?
What is it? Looks dope.
Debating on picking up an 03 gsxr1000 with a blown motor guy said needs bottom end an crank wanted 3200 blown up so i offered 2k think its worth dropping a motor in
Depends on your budget and things like that. The engines can be quite the pricey. So if it's in the budget, you can definitely do it!
Она прекрасна. Тоже мечтаю такое колесо. 😊
Where are you located?
i’m subbed under a different name this whole time btw haha.
I've been staring at my wrecked k1 600 for years dreading a wiring harness swap. This made it seem totally attainable (I guess I assumed it would be more like a car's wiring harness). Thank you for the detailed before and after, dude. Insanely helpful.
I’m rebuilding a 2005 gsxr 600 with no knowledge before I’ve been watching for about a month while also using my hanes book … idk what I would be without you ….. lol watch all your videos everyday like school thank you
Damn this is sick man!! Great work
Hello,me dear friend! I am a motorcycle seat cushion factory,we are the supply manufacturers. Are you interested in cooperation?
it was great seeing your process! theres a 600RR locally that's in a similar state of disrepair and this has me wondering about whether it's worth it to try and get it going...
IF I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU! Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.
Wish I could actually ride a geared bike 😂
It’s a game changer! 😂
very cool. where do you find bikes to rebuild?
Auction, marketplace etc.
Nice work
Thanks a ton!
🔥🔥🔥
great work
Nowhere, strapped down like that 😂
What if the fuel pump doesn't stop priming?
Sounds like you have it on the wrong connector, or… Something may be shorting.
So I did an engine swap on my 2005 GSXR 1000 and I can't remember where the two breather hoses for the tank go. Do I just connect them and route them down to the bottom or do they go to a specific location. Any advice would be helpful please and thank you
Yep! Connect them to the tank and run them near the stator cover. One of the stator cover bolts should have a little metal piece on it that bends. Those actually hold the hoses.
thank you so much for the help
Happy to help!
Wish you would have shown what it sounded like and was doing before you fixed it
There was no fuel pump prime before fixing it. Absolutely no fuel pump prime when key was turned.
I mean he stated the exact problem in the beginning lol fuel pump wouldnt prime unless the tank was lifted.. this is when you have gone through every other test is when you should be watching this.
