How to use the prefilter of the Oase Biomaster 350 Why is the pre filter just a breeze to have? How often do you need to clean it? Some good tips on how to do it properly, no leaks and and easy way to start it up again.
What powerhead do you use? I can't find a silent one
Aquael pat mini filter is basically silent.
@@fdaqua6791 Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look into it, also looking at the Eheim classic 150 for my new bedroom tank
You don't need to prime it. You can clean those sponges under tha tap. It's a good filter!
Low flow
Was a great tutorial but the part I don't seem to really get is how you can start the filter syphoning again. When i clean mine and plug it back in the filter doesnt start syphoning and the water that comes out is to little to get anyhting going. I have the filter directly below my 100L aquarium.
Not sure if the type of canister you have but some need to have a certain water level in the canister when put back together. Also , some canister filters have a prime button at the top of the filter to get it started again. Make sure you start it once aquarium is filled back up again. You don’t want air sucked into the canister.
@@fdaqua6791 Thank you for the reply, I have the same exact canister you show in the video, tomorrow I'll try and fill it up to the top to see if it starts syphoning properly.
@@tartarugaManito if so, once you put the prefilter back in and close the canister, fill the tank up and pump the big blue primer button on top of canister. That should remove most of the air and once you turn back on it should start easier. If not, switch off and prime it again until it runs clear. All the best.
In terms of your oxygen level. How's that
Fish are fine, shrimp are fine, plants are growing. As long as there’s surface movement on the water you will get good oxygen exchange.
Thanks will definitely try this setup
Great tips! Genius on siphoning with the outlet !
Did you have to lower your flow? im really struggling with the flow being just right lol currently ive switched to a spray bar.
If you use the oase attachments with the spray bar the flow can be adjusted by turning a little dial.
