We are from SA and were staying on the Gold Coast and while chatting with a man he asked if we were from SA, we said yes …why. His reply was you all speak as if you have a plum in your mouth, 😮😄

hi guys, great vid/vlog, I laughed for most of the replies, so nice to see Lil & Jake doing their thing too, you guys are so different compared to when I started to watch you on your first lap in QLD, the confidence you spread now for both of you is amazing especially for you Jack 👍🐕🤠😋 I'm trying to get enough courage to start my own lap and see some of the stunning sights that you have shared with us, one of my fears is travelling with my best 4 legged friend - I noticed Lil & Jake included their pup which is something I have to conquer before I go anywhere, other than that I will watch your earlier vids for inspiration and encouragement. thank you and hope to catch you on a track somewhere. Im a Kiwi and I thought that we suffer from "Tall poppy symdrone" where no one likes to see another person is doing better than them. OR having the guts to give it a go! But Aussies were so positive... I thought and better than kiwis. Now I see we are the same. Its human nature to be negitive and envey those who are I my view are doing better than me. But what going on in their lives to make them that way. So now I feel sorry for the na sayers as they must have a:sad life. Please take this message to heart and forget the knockers, squeese a bit of sympathy for them as your life is yours and it is a gteat one. We all who follow you know how great you both are!!! Your true followers like myself LOVE ALL your innocent, naive and open honesty. Thats WHY we love you guys because you’re not trying to be something you are not. I love the fact you will say we have no idea what we are doing like renovating Myrtle. You are out their having a go and it beats all the “know it all” who probably either have no idea or are the idiots putting the rest of us in danger!! You guys and Sarah n Keelan are my most favourites out of 12 youtubers i watch!! I ‘ve been watching you all for 4 years now and i’d rather watch all you guys than normal tv. In fact i have with-drawl symptoms if there isn’t a weekly post to watch. Please pay no attention to the haters you have great tv presents and your laughing at yourselves and situations keeps me very happy as i laugh along with you, often identifying some of your experiences. I have a 105 series auto petrol Landcruiser and love it. Had a great 1974 millard to a new campertrailer, campertrailer caravan and offroad caravan with all the bells n whistles!! Had sooo much fun in all of them then lost it all due to family situation & marriage breakup so now rebuilding from scratch again. You both remind me if my xhubby n i starting out. NEVER GIVE UP YOU DO A GREAT JOB and make lots of us TRUE FOLLOWERS VERY HAPPY😁👍🎉🤣🤣🤣💯💖

I have watched your ability to entertain grow, and then during the mettle renovations we’re going on, the confidence in your ability’s also grew. You both have said that, I agree. For years I haven’t made comments but you both deserve a Big Thank You for your channel. I dealt with the publis all my working life and you will hear from the problem makers. Your early get a good on you mate your doing a really good job. So Good On you both and thanks for doing such a good job. Where would we be with out our Aussi You Tubers. I am also travelling Australia now. I am doing this as a result from you tube channels like yours. Yes most of the time the people we meet are good, but some one just has to be the Dill. Regarding the perfect touring vehicle... Curious if either of you have done the weights on a 200 series? If I chuck a 2t van on the back add a bullbar, roof rack, drawer, fridge and full tank of fuel and 2 adults 3 teenagers I believe it'd be over weight just on gvm - van weight may be different... Can't remember if I used my van or a 3.5t as the van weight considering that's what most people assume you tow if it has a 3.5t capacity. Those are fairly standard accessories and that's no luggage, nothing in the fridge or drawer and no extra accessories. All I know is that with my van weight (1.951t) a dual cab in the dmax/ranger/bt50 bracket gives me more payload capacity than I will need compared to a 200 series. And don't get me started on price comparison...

Think this is perhaps the digital version of "tall poppy syndrome" & like you said the last 6 months getting worse, I've noticed it across a lot of various media. Try and ignore it, you guys are so down to earth, relatable & lovable. Wife is a big fan, following since you were in Tassie, love the photography.

Great vlog. We love everything you guys do. We have Been so inspired that we've started renovating our old caravan. Negative people will always be part of social media unfortunately. But there are far more nice people and we just want to see you be successful and grow as couples and do those things the rest of us dream of doing.

I think the negativity comes from people struggling due to the cost of living. People are concerned with global climate and at home so it could be that. Sad really cause your vids bring some escape from the daily grind. X

I think the reason you guys have a good following is the fact you aren't driving the latest and greatest vehicle or caravan which makes you very relatable to Joe average. It is very easy to adjust up to driving an American truck for travelling.

I want to thank Lil and Jake for putting me onto Jack and Megan. We have a hybrid caravan and I did a search many moons ago on RUclips to find people travelling Oz in one and came across Lil and Jake who mentioned that Jack and Megan inspired them to travel so I checked you out and loved your content, bought your cookbook, watched your rebuild of the FJ45, travelled with you overseas etc and now thoroughly enjoy watching both couples each week and love travelling with you. Plus love that you are also Sandgroppers. Have a great Christmas and look forward to next year
