Riding at speed amongst inexperienced cyclists, no way. Also I'll stick to the psp after an encounter with a psycho skip truck driver who almost hit us on The Esplanade Mt Pleasant.

My hot take....Unless you do races, i think group riding is pointless for the majority of people who ride casually. The only benefit is the social aspect.

YBN chain has the lowest friction, you can feel it by just doing a free spin on the crank. KNC is not as good though more expensive.

You didn't extend the chain to account for the larger rear jockey wheel? The smaller wheel doesn't spin that well. I've got Nova Ride ceramic jockeys. They spin well when new but need to be rinsed fairly regularly.
@@DanTuber the chain wasn’t extended as I’d left it the same length after swapping out the AbsoluteBLACK hollowcage in anticipation of this :) we shall see how these PSA ones go!

@@VideobyKB apparently riders are ok. Spectator taken away in ambulance.
@@Velographerpro riders are actually built differently. It always amazes me how hard they hit the deck, yet almost always get up brush themselves off and keep riding. Hope the spectator is OK though.
Spectator was looked after by the ambos. All the fallen riders came past a bit later with cuts and bruises but no ambulance required

She takes other women under her wings for work, and on the bike. Her partner and us are so proud of her - she buys herself her shiny new bikes too. @@VelographerI think you missed the take away on this feedback... The point is not to assume every girl you see on a bike is in it only because her partner is and that her partner buys her bikes etc. By default you should assume every person (male or female) is an independent human and can buy their own things. Otherwise it's condescending, to say the least.

@@Velographer Tuesdays & Thursdays 5.20am/5.30am. Easier rides on Wednesday and Friday. Longer rides on Saturday. We also do a Christmas ride where everyone turns up in "Christmas" gear. The Tour de Blend usually takes place 1 or 2 weeks before the Christmas ride (been happening for 10 years). Got some videos over on my channel.

They absolutely are! It really made me think... these are people who have experienced challenges in life and yet press on to overcome.. it probably took them a couple of go's, and they've also probably seen and experienced failure, but look where they are!!! They inspire me to keep trying!

ha just saw this - i am sorry velographer but if you can't obviously easily see through Venereal D - i can't help you. If you don't see that he continually just makes up shite about people for clicks and drama - again - you will be beyond any logical help, it is just not difficult to see and know with that character. One cannot debate with someone who just makes up shite about people as when he makes up X / Y / Z about me - how do i disprove that on the spot? Other more basic things such as the BS he has made up about pricing - i covered some of that on a video as a for instance - so that vid shows easily a number of his attacks to be categorically incorrect. From there - you can just apply same to everything he says. If you still wish to place stock in such a person - that is then on you, and no one else. You set your own moral standards on who you support, and i just hope it s a good place an not actively supporting people who are literally an infectious disease on our lovely world of cycling

So much enthusiasm by the riders and their respective families and so much support shown. As you said these are the people that do not get a lot of coverage but are super competitive. Also a shout out to those who work hard behind the scenes to bring these successful event to the public.
