Cycling folks are a pretty friendly lot I reckon. Lo Quay's lemon Kurd muffins are pretty spot on. I'm a cartographer too but into touring as much too slow and old for the competitive racing.

Specs and pricing on those wheels is terrible and outdated. I'm running 25's cos it's all i got atm. Pumped to 70 psi. Will go larger when they're done.
Should try running 28's - I've got a pair of 28's I can let go for cheap if you're in Perth! I think that the whole hype of wider is better is going a little overboard, especially with No.6's crazy wide wheels lol... check the ETRTO standards so you can safely use a tyre that's made for a given internal width. Based off tyre standards, I think that the 19-23mm internal width is still very current. Anything else outside of that isn't great right now. i still have 23's, as well as rim brakes, old school & enjoy heaps.
Ride what you love mate :D That's the most important thing! Tech and equipment are cool, but they'll never replace the pure joy of just riding.

@@dantolo817 ha! I remember the 19s though I was born in ‘83. The 19s were the choice tyre in the mid 90s! I’m riding 30’s now.
I usually end up climbing up those stairs. Surprised I don't see any people practising stair climbing there; working on their fitness.
Those stairs are proper steep and long enough for stair climbing! True! Reminds me of a teeeeny portion of jacob's ladder but more scenic :D haha

70psi is great too! supple enough a ride :)
@@Velographer i've found it to be the sweet spot. Any higher it's too harsh and under 60 too sloppy.
