Josh Hathaway - Whiz Kid | Gloucester/England Rugby Tribute
Prior to his move across the Severn Bridge, Josh Hathaway developed his speed and agility whilst playing for Scarlets and Wales U20s.
A switch in nationality has found Hathaway scoring sensational tries during his breakthrough season for Gloucester, as well as impressing senior coaches during his maiden Six Nations for the England U20s side in 2023.
The tug of war now begins to see if England or Wales can get their grip on the youngster, who is quickly reassuring Gloucester fans that Louis Rees-Zammit's absence will not be felt.

Ben Stevenson - Unsung Great | Newcastle Falcons Rugby Tribute
Просмотров 360Месяц назад
Following his monstrous 'don't argue' against Josh Hodge two weeks ago, it dawned on me that Ben Stevenson has been an unsung great of the game; often overshadowed by Adam Radwan and Mateo Carreras before he left Newcastle Falcons. He wasn't called up to train with England prior to the 2023 World Cup for no reason. Stevenson possesses the aerial dominance that Steve Borthwick would expect of hi...

Gloucester Rugby have secured their first silverware in nine years after winning the Premiership Rugby Cup, striking a perfect balance between using the tournament to develop youth and, equally, as an opportunity to platform themselves back into the Premiership in good form. Hong Kong-born Zack Wimbush has become a club icon since scoring his maiden try against Glasgow in the Champions Cup, cementing his place as one of many a fan's favourite new players. In addition to his recent Premiership form, Wimbush was a standout during two friendlies against The Royal Navy and The University of Exeter constituting a fair amount of highlights within his tribute. Max Ojomoh - Talented | Bath Rugby Tribute

Operating as a selfless and silky second distributor for Bath Rugby, it should be no surprise that Max Ojomoh was recently called up for England's Six Nations squad. Bolstered by powerful carrying and efficacious kicking, perhaps England's solution to inside-centre has been under their nose all along. He can even play fly-half, if required. Will we see him start or, at the very least, come off ...

Got a recommendation for a video on Fraser Dingwall? Been the glue for Saints this season but doesn’t really get as much recognition as he deserves.
Top recommendation there, Henry. He's been on my radar since his England call up, but other players needing tributes have kept me busy. 😂 Tell you what, after I've covered Piers O'Conor, I'll make sure Dingwall is covered next. Thanks for the recommendation, for watching and for commenting!
Tremendous finisher!
Great gas from the lad. Love his spatial awareness, too. Thanks for watching and commenting!

If im Wales I’d be trying to get this guy’s services quickly - they need all the help they can get
Agreed. Time is of the essence, and England are already inundated with talented wingers. Thanks for watching and commenting!
As a glos fan I recon wales should get him in the squad for the summer because he certainly has talent and could gain a lot of experience quite early from it.
@@reubsthegreatI wonder what the eligibility rules say about playing for a different country before coming back to your home. Do you have any idea? Thanks for watching and commenting! PS: Congrats on reaching the Challenge Cup final, mate. I'll be rooting for you guys!
@@StanWilks Unfortunately after reading the rules I’m pretty certain he’ll be unavailable which is pretty disappointing even though I’m English I think him playing for wales would have done him some good. As for Gloucester yesterday I went to the game and the atmosphere was the really good as well as the game itself and I’ll be definitely heading to London for the final!
@@reubsthegreatThanks for clarifying, mate. Congrats on the win and let's hope the lads can win the trophy. Make sure you're subscribed because if they do, tribute incoming!
What do you think of Josh Hathaway? Who will secure his international future? Comment below!
Has the best pass in or out of contact, certainly in UK possibly Europe... world? We'll eventually see. And I am more qualified to comment having helped coach him from age 9
That's pretty cool. What an honour it must have been for you to see him perfect his craft! Thanks for watching and commenting!
What do you think of Ollie Chessum? Do you prefer Chessum/Itoje or Chessum/Martin for England's second row? Comment below!
Lowkey Itoje/martin then chessum at 6. He played there against ireland and he was a monster all game
@@jacketmain9667 Good point! Everyone had a great game that day. Either way, England are starting to build a formidable pack. Thanks for watching and commenting!
If Ribbans was there, I'd have Ribbans/Martin and Itoje 6.

Seems like autocorrect has done you dirty there, mate, but I know what you mean. 😂 Hasn't played much this season, but he's scored two brilliant tries. I can tell you from first hand experience that everyone at Sandy Park winced collectively as he pummeled Hodge. Brilliant player. Thanks for watching and commenting!

What did you think of Gloucester winning the Premiership Rugby Cup? Will it platform the club back into brighter times when the Premiership resumes? Comment below!
One of my favourite players!!
Great choice, Joe! Hopefully he'll tear it up against Falcons next week. Looking forward to seeing that live. Thanks for watching and commenting, mate!
Excellent again Stan! I think that he could well be a future England 12
@@billallen9054 Thank you so much, mate! A natural 12, too. That would be lovely to see for England!
What do you think of Zack Wimbush? Has his recent form guaranteed more starts for Exeter Chiefs when the Premiership returns? Comment below!
Needs to be considered for England
Many wingers need to be considered for England. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Apologies if this tribute begins somewhat sharply. It originally began with his try against Saracens at the beginning of the season, but Premiership Rugby enforced me to remove it for using a copyrighted angle - - otherwise the tribute would have been removed entirely.
Guy Pepper is a very good rugby player, but is he even in Marcers league? Why are we calling him up instead of Mercer?
It's probably because Pepper didn't throw his toys out the pram for not being selected. Plus, he's arguably in better form and has had more game time recently. I'm still a big fan of Mercer, though. Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope you enjoyed this tribute!
@@StanWilks thanks for posting the vid, I won't argue to much further, Mercer beat Dupont to player of the season for good reason! It's a non comparison imo.
@@thomasmyers2288You're very welcome, mate. It's all good. I'm not here to argue. In terms of success, it's unequivocal that Mercer is better. That season in France was something special for him. Either way, it's an embarrassment of riches for England. 😂
@thomasmyers2288 You know what, mate, you've charmed me. Just watching him play against Bristol. What a player. Always looking for the offload. Fantastic work-rate off the ball.
@@StanWilks yeah man, rugby needs him at international level.
4 and a half minute tribute includes 5 kicks at goal. Sad. Wouldn't make the Albanian national 2nd fifteen. Honestly cannot understand how Slade has a professional career, let alone a national one in one of the biggest unions in the world.
A shame you feel that way, Ian, but there's plenty of highlights beyond his kicks. I understand that no player is going to be universally loved, so thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching the tribute regardless!
@StanWilks OK, having just watched England v Ireland I will concede Slade looked like a good player. Maybe I've just been unlucky when I've seen him before. I'm now prepared to upgrade him to the first fifteen.
@@ianburton9030 That's very fair of you, mate. Thanks for giving him a chance. International rugby is understandably cutthroat, but players - being human - will always have good games and bad games. Look at Wilkinson against Argentina in the 2011 World Cup, for example. And what a win that was against Ireland last night!
What do you think of Cassius Cleaves? Will we see him secure his first start for Harlequins when the season resumes? Comment below!
Saracens… Please please please select him and develop him at 12. He really could be the answer for England. Other than the obvious size, he seems to have great special awareness as well.
He definitely needs to be fast-tracked as England's solution to inside centre. Hopefully this tribute proved what he can bring. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Could be a potential Farrell replacement? Seeing as Russell and Bailey are ahead of him at Bath
I could see that, especially if Saracens were willing to invest more game time in him than Bath have. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Slade is a great athlete and reader of the game but he's too vulnerable at the breakdown for England - gets turned over too much. Doesn't offer enough attacking threat either.
You can tell he's far more comfortable at Exeter for one thing, but that could also apply to every player and their respective club(s). Thanks for watching and commenting!
What do you think of George Worboys? Do you think we'll see more of him when the Premiership returns after the mid-season break? Comment below!
Proof that not the only good thing to come out of Bath is Bath Ales Gem beer!
Whatever floats your boat, man!
What a player
He's just fantastic. Thanks for watching and commenting!
What do you think of Max Ojomoh? Do you think he'll secure his first cap for England during the Six Nations? Comment below!
I hope so, but I doubt it.
Probably won’t now Lawrence and Tuilagi are back. But he has all the makings to be a quality international centre in my opinion. Think he’s the most well-rounded 12 we have coming through.
@@henrybullock4514he’ll be 13 tho with Lawrence coming through at 12?
@@remyd1984 Personally, I’d have Ojomoh play 12 in attack as a second distributor. Lawrence is much better attacking when at 13 because he can get on the outside shoulder of defenders using his fend, also he can then bring in his offload game to bring the wingers into play. Imagine Arundell, Freeman or Feyi-Waboso on his shoulder as he makes a half break.
@@remyd1984in defence though I’d have them swap roles with Ojomoh defending at 13. Lawrence seems to get caught out quite a lot at Bath and sometimes makes poor reads.
Best hooker in the world. There I said it
Ben hammersly is more technical than Feyi-Waboso
I actually completely agree with that. I was surprised how many highlights began and ended with Hammersley working around a box-kick. Great player. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Do you mind doing part 2?

Let's be honest if he was in the RWC squad England would of stood a chance of winning. With him being added to the Six Nations England are definitely contenders
He possesses a very level head at club level. You can tell that many a teammate looks to him for guidance during a game. I think he would have been an extra kicking threat against South Africa. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Good player. Missing top end speed
We could definitely do with him being a starter in the Six Nations. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Typical response from the Irish. Your team is awful for the last 5 decades, as soon as they supposedly become “the best team in the world” you all start acting like the oracle on how it’s done.
