UPDATE: GX responded to my email - this was shipped by amazon, so not a mistake on GX's part. they are working with amazon to get it resolved. I'll post a full video explaining it once the dust settles. I ordered this with my own money off amazon. Ejoyous - Cheapest PCP Compressor on Amazon
I need an electric pump but these are way out of my price range, even the budget alternative. Hand pumping my Gamo Arrow takes about 200 pumps with my two-stage hand pump. It's good exercise but takes quite a while and I'm worried I might have a stroke or something. {^_^}
Here is an entry level one I've reviewed amzn.to/40Hfa2Q It's a great entry level option. I've got a video on it as well.
The ones I covered in this video are more "heavy user/shop entry level compressors." For someone just filling a single gun something like the spiritech is great. I have a video series covering different levels as well that might help.
I recently bought one of these off of the AliExpress website for a whole lot less and free shipping. Buying off of Chinese websites, the products are notorious for having little to no clearly understandable instructions. Videos like this are really helpful in getting to know this pump before it arrives.
Buckshot flavered nachos 💀
Almost sounds like an old western movie
For the longest time I've been using a hand pump for my 1st Gen Umarex Gauntlet. I think I've had to rebuild that darn thing about a half-dozen time since buying that pump. I thought about buying a cheapo electric PCP pump but back when I first started looking they were still too expensive for me. I'm on a fixed income. I happened to be perusing the Temu and AliExpress websites recently and I came across some very similar High-Pressure PCP pumps that were within my budget. I've just been watching videos on these pumps just to see what I can expect out of the one I just bought. Looks like it's gonna work out well for me. I don't expect for it to get that much use since I only have the one PCP air gun. Thanks for the video. No more hand pumping for me, unless this new electric air pump takes a crap on me.
Glad you found one! They make a huge difference
My magazines only hold eight rounds, where did you get 10 round mags?
I didn't, I just misspoke.
@ Ohh, ok, thanks!
You connected the whip from the compressor to the rifle, isn't there now 1000psi pressure in that line from the rifle? Isn't there a warning label not to start the pump with pressure on the compressor?
Nope, foster fill connections are one way, so no air will go from the gun to the hose. If you have air going into the hose your fill valve is likely damaged. Yes there is, which is why you keep the bleed valve open. 🙂
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 Wow, learned alot from this video.
@dougms9790 glad it was useful!
Wow...soooo kewl...🙄🙄🙄
now ya know
Is the price justified? I'm debating between this combo or eotech. I also have an astigmatism, would you recommend?
With an astigmatism I would go with the eotech, since it's a holographic sight it should look a lot better. Something like this amzn.to/40pi8Yr. You could also consider the vortex Huey, it's a little cheaper then the eotech. amzn.to/4gYybUa
I just picked the ames up from optics planet for $280. It's on sale. I also have an astigmatism. I decided to go with the green dot because of that. The core version is only $250. Probably won't last at that price
@duanellamas87 dang that's a steal!!! Good deal
@@duanellamas87 How do you like it so far?
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 I figured paying extra for the eotech quality and 1 MOA dot is worth it.. I do plan on using a magnifier since I already own a G33.
So when the rifle or tank is full the compressor does an auto shut off and you don't need to press the OFF button that's next to the Start button?
Correct! Just set the pressure needle to where you want it
Alot of moisture came out when you released that bleed valve. Need to look into a moisture filter?
I've never had issues with moisturizer in my tanks, it tends to come out the bleed valve. Probably wouldn't hurt though
Shorter barrel results in a wider spread and lower velocity/range (R = (u^2 * sin(20)) / g). For most shotguns, you can expect 30 - 50 meters of effective range, 70 if you're pushing it. Note that the "oof" radius of a standard "boom-boom thing" is 5 to 15m. All of this amounts to a high-stakes game of clay pigeons, and your prize for winning is CTE.
I think I want tandem AA12s on a turret for maximum oof avoidance 😅
@ lol if it gets to that point, I'm playing Vietnamese Minecraft.
😅
Can ya get it any darker and try it out?
I can, but the issue is digital night vision still needs some light. if I'm in a completely dark area, you won't see anything.
James Bond entered the chat.
4800 foot pounds of energy? lol
Definitely misspoke on that 😅 I think it comes out to about 45 ft/lbs
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 haha I knew ya screwed up but made me chuckle!! My buddy got one recently and a pretty good shooter for the money!!
When looking through the scope has your eye got to be close to the lens or is there eye relief like a normal scope
There is some eye relief, but not a ton - pretty typical of other digital scope I've used
What gun do you use it on?
Airguns mostly, for night time pest control. It should hold up to real steel recoil though.
Is this the GS515?
Yes it is. Link here ruclips.net/video/2_NEyBzitec/видео.html
I saw someone put the magnifier right behind the optic it was touching..does that affect it?
I like having the magnifier a little further back, I find it gives me a better eye relief. It could work if it was touching, but the magnifier would probably scrape against the red dot when you flipped it back and forth.
Can you show what it looks like a night time please !!
Yep, I'll make a quick video of it - might be able to get it out tonight or tomorrow

I like the completeness of your review. A few questions: 1) do GX pumps suffer from "lack of use" issues? In other words if you use it a few times per year, is that a problem? 2) Would you use the K1 to fill a tank? How big? 3) What extra filter would you recommend? 4) What grease do you reccomend TIA
Great questions! No - I have several units that sit around and are only rarely used, and I haven't had issues with them. Definitely - this is made to fill tanks. I would expect it to fill basically any tank. It will run for 10 hours continuously. One like this should work up to 4500 psi. amzn.to/4gGWxBK Food grade super lube works great amzn.to/407GjKz Let me know if you have any other questions, and please use my link if you purchase one 🙂
Thanks for your input back & forth with me, Awesome channel
Thank you!
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 you’re welcome l, hey I have a question. I’ve been trying to air up my pcp with the new compressor I mentioned to you in the other thread, I turn the knob to 4,000 so I can have it stop at 4,000 PSI but for some reason no air. Even when I just let the compressor run without gassing up my pcp no air comes out of bleed when I am done. Any suggestions
@mohamedkallon1491 do you hear the pump running, or just fans? If no air is coming out of the bleed valve or hose, but you hear the pump itself running, then there is a leak somewhere. I would try to track down that leak. Soapy water and a spray bottle is a good way to do it, like a leaky tire
@ ok, yes the motor is running. At first I thought it was my rifle, but even when I unplug it. It spits the air out of the hose
@ and thanks for the fast reply
Have you ever heard of a Vdapavin air compressor? If so what you think of it. Do you have any videos on how to use on pcp. Especially the ones with auto turnoff
I haven't, but I will look it up! Most of my videos have instructions on how to use them. For example my CS4-I video has an auto shut off, most of the basics should still apply..
The VDapavin looks very similar to the vevor and Tuxing compressors I've reviewed recently. Those videos should show you the basics. Let me know if you have any questions
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 i really appreciate it, I will go through a few of your videos. I recently got into airgun in and need all the help I can get hahaha. I already broke my $120 Vevor and recently purchased the Vdapavin for about $250, it has an auto turnoff. You’re correct it very similar to Vevor, i really wanted to steer away from Chinese brands
@mohamedkallon1491 very few non Chinese brands out there. GX is one that I have good luck with, although they are also Chinese based. I would guess VDapavin is also Chinese just looking at how similar it is to other ones.
@ ohhhh ok, I am hoping this one works like a champ

@Themightymooseoutdoor87 Thanks a lot have you seen any reviews on the 5k1 are is they basically the same with one less piston
@chevyryda60 yes they are! Basically identical aside from the piston. I have a couple videos on it, I bought one and Amazon sent me a used one. Kinda of a mess haha. But getting the new replacement in a couple days for a full review. If you end up buying one please use my links - it helps me keep the channel going 🙂 Happy to answer any questions

Just got one of these. It would be cool if someone sold Oem grease or went more into detail on a recommendation on grease to use in these. Nice video 👍🏻
amzn.to/4h1e1Z9 Here's the grease! I'll see about doing a maintenance video.
Target forge sells grease and parts to the gx line of compressors
Good to know!
I just got the GX-E-CS4 (external power). How much water/coolant do I pour down the tank? How do I make sure I do not overfill? The instructions are not very clear on this (the cap came super-tight on mine too - having difficulty unscrewing it). Also every how many hours do I have to add more? Thank you in advance!
Good choice! I would point a flashlight down it so you can see the level. Then I normally will fill up a couple inches from the top. Turn it on, and the level will go down as it starts to circulate and fill the hoses. Then just fill back to an inch or two from the cap. It's a closed system, so you shouldn't have to add any more coolant ever again. If the cap is still stuck on I would maybe try carefully warming it up. (Maybe a blow dryer or heat gun, just enough to get it to expand a tad) Just be sure not to hold the heat in one spot too long and melting it. Let me know how it goes!
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 Thank you for clearing that up! First I have to go to the store and get some distilled water before I decide what coolant to put in. There are other YT videos where they mention "flushing the system" and putting fresh water/coolant in. But there are no instructions in the manual on how to flush the old coolant 😞
@vtecharrys.6981 if you just do coolant I don't expect it to go bad. Automotive coolant stays good for a long time. I would recommend just doing coolant instead of water. (I initially did water, but later learned coolant is better) If you do need to flush it for some reason, you could just take the case off, and unhook one of the hoses to drain it. I've done that on a model I was repairing.
Is there a moisture filter on these?
There is a small one built into the air intake. It works well enough for me (in the desert) but if you are in an area with humidity I would recommend an additional one.
@Themightymooseoutdoor87 I wish there was a decent one with an actual moisture filter in it. Not just a cigarette filter lol
Ya it would be nice, but I can also appreciate having an external one that would be easier to service. Would be nice to be included though for sure. If you end up buying one, please use my link, it supports my channel 🙏
@Themightymooseoutdoor87 yeah but having it under the metal cover (blast sheild) would make me feel better lol. If I do get one I'll use your link. Did you hear about the honey browser extension stealing the commission from even if someone clicks your link? I got rid of it on chrome when I heard that.
True, I like the blast shield haha. Appreciate that! I haven't heard about that, but it doesn't surprise me sadly
CS4 is best choice if you have enough budget, won't regret in future when others who bought cheap and rubish compressors met using or quality trouble. Choose the GX brand,
Just so my viewers are aware, this is one of the GX accounts. I do agree on the CS4-I being an excellent compressor, and GX has worked well for me.
Who is the manufacturer of these pumps?
I'm not sure on the manufacturer, but they are imported by a company called GX. I have occasionally seen them branded as other companies as well.
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 thx🙂
How's the water and filtration system? is it sufficient as a stand alone system?
As in the air filtration? It works well for me as is, but I'm also in the desert. If you are in a high humidity area I would add an additional filter.
The gap between the butt stock and rifle body is still a waste of space, every bit of space matters in a bugout bag scenario.
I think it would be cool to have some mag holders built into the stock in this setup
8 round mags come with the modern version of this gun. Where did you get 10 round mags. You must have a special supplier because and I've never even HEARD of any larger than 8 rounds in nearly 45 years of owning this gun, in all of its iterations, made by all of its producers. I'd love to have some 10 rounders, if they work, so please provide a link. It took decades for a reliable 8 round mag to be designed for this gun, so don't hold your breath for one larger than your "10 rounder". I guess that means that I'm calling "Bull Shit!" on the 10 round mags. After watching the whole video, now I have to call "Bull Shit" on the practical accuracy portion of your video as well. You CANNOT hit the center of clay pigeons at 100 yards, anywhere near their centers, "most of the time", with that gun and that red dot scope. I'll go further than that and say that you can't hit clay pigeons anywhere "most of the time". The dot on the best red dots will more than cover the pigeon at that distance, and you definitely don't have one of the best red dots. Film it and prove me wrong.
I was wrong on the 10 round mags, as I've since discussed in the comments. A standard clay pigeon is 4.33 inches. Hitting one at 100 yards is not that difficult, even with a red dot. I've since sold this gun and can't film a video, but if you choose not to believe me then feel free to move along. Sorry my content didn't meet your expectations 🙂
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 You don't need to meet my expectations, you just need to be truthful. Less knowledgeable people look to folks like you to learn about things. To receive useful instruction. You made three claims that were specific and I called bullshit on them. You admit that one was a mistake, and reworded the second and didn't address the "more than 10 round" magazine that you were "sure you could get" but" I just didn't bother looking for. They don't exist and won't likely ever exist. I didn't say that you couldn't hit a clay pigeon at 100 yards, I said you couldn't hit the CENTER of a clay pigeon, MOST OF THE TIME, which was your claim. I've owned enough of these over the last 45 years and seen enough other YT videos to know that just hitting a 9 inch pie plate at that distance is about a 6 out of 8 shot proposition, much less center hits on a target less than half that diameter. I'm still certain that that didn't happen, so that's a lie. Someone is going to think that there's something wrong with their gun when they don't get those results and that hurts the sport. I make no apologies for my comment.
@mrhalfstep at the end of the day, if you think I'm a liar there isn't anything I can do about that. I told my experience shooting it, and that's a use case of 1 person and 1 gun. I was hitting the center of a clay pigeon the majority of the time, but clearly you believe that's an impossibility. Making the same argument on every comment on the video doesn't really make your point any stronger, it just seems you have a chip on your shoulder. I'll happily do a shooting test if I manage to get my hands on another of these, but then you could just claim I was editing the video. I don't make any money from this video, I don't make anything from people buying this gun, the stock adapter, or the brace, and I wasn't at an officially marked range, nor shooting anything incredibly precise, that was just my experience casually shooting, and trying to share that experience. If you don't like casual videos discussing my personal experiences with guns, then it's best to move on. There are much better channels with more scientific results.
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 Since you are being so adamant about your results I'll accept your word and offer my apologies. You may have had a very accurate version of the gun (that you probably should have kept), but if you watch enough videos of other shooters and based on my experience owning several of them, your experience wasn't typical and I should have worded my comment more along those lines. I was being a dick and I'm sorry. Please except my apology. ✌I just get really upset about the misinformation that gets disseminated on YT sometimes. If you accept my apology, would you be willing to share the ammo brand and type that you got those results with? Maybe I'm just not shooting the most accurate stuff. I have tended to stick with the best FUNCTIONING ammo in my AR7s. As you probably found they are picky in that regard.
Ya you are making me start to regret selling it haha. No apology needed - it's good to call people out, and I appreciate you keeping me honest. I am certainly not immune to making mistakes, but I do try to own up to them :) I believe I was using cci stingers, I find they tend to run very well in semi autos. I find Aguila super extra also does pretty well in my semi autos, and even groups decently out of my bolt guns. Cheap thunderbolts and the like start to give me issues.
I believe you can get the basic zulus right now for about the same price. Would trust that a lot more.
Haven't used those, but they do look pretty similar! Currently $399 on Amazon. amzn.to/40dEWvr What's your thought process on trusting those more?
So no day use ? I mean come on we don't hunt just at night
@grasshoppercrews1296 works great as a day scope as well, but it is less clear than a regular scope, since it is digital. I'm going to try to get some footage of both day and night.
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 The zulus was once carried under the Arken name which is a great company. The Zulus has a huge following in the airgun community.
@@grasshoppercrews1296 I have a oneleaf digital optic. While completely useable in daytime it really lacks clarity when you zoom at all when compared to regular 400 dollar glass. These are better night options

Ya Amazon is not the best with this. Luckily they are back in stock now! Very popular unit for sure.
Happy holidays!🎄😊
You too!
You missed off the best pump, the GX CS2 Super reliable Super modable Easy and inexpensive to service Small lightweight Years of use and abuse and still pumping like a champ
CS2 is a great one! I have a previous review on it.
Since they put rubber feet on the right side of these units, does that indicate it will run without problems if you lay it down on those feet? Will the water circulate just the same? and what about that little clear hose that sticks out the front bottom? Does that need to be at the bottom? It wont be if the unit is on its side.
I assume it would run fine. That vents air mostly, there really isn't a lot of water coming out. I can test it later and follow up, but I'm pretty sure it would work.
An inverter takes DC and makes AC out of it. There is nothing in this unit that does that. This unit has a DC power supply that takes AC and makes DC out of it. Sounds like it wasnt the engineers at GX that decided the model name ending in "i".

@Themightymooseoutdoor87 well thats great, my problem is that idk if they'll fix it bc ive had it for about 2 years now and ive got 400 rounds through it until it broke i think its past warranty, will they still fix it bc its such a big issue with these guns?
@ryanfrazier1764 they would probably charge you to get it fixed sadly. I would consider looking for someone besides Beretta to fix it, if there is a good local gunsmith
