The ‘Junpei being creepy at the beach’ scene gets a fully animated anime cutscene (not animated in the original), but the protagonist’s awakening and Aigis’ introduction (both animated in the original) are in engine. Anime has insane priorities.

I don't think her comments about not being able to overpower a man forever are necessarily sexist. 1:59:29, I knew he was living with his grandparents but didn't think about how much they had. It's possible his "I don't feel very rich" attitude is actually not super cringe because if his grandparents were legitimately average he'd have been living a normal life for who knows (yet) how long. Now him trying to defend George and Jessica, presumably because he likes them, is still probably off base since they likely don't have the grounding to know what it's really like to not be rich. 4:43:00, This isn't a criticism of the writing but of the characters. It really annoys me that they couldn't just say, "we get that it's morbid but this is a complex matter so we should start early so we don't get surprised. We don't need to rush but we do need to start". Instead it's a back and forth sniping of "you just want him to die and get the money" and "you just don't want us to look at the books". Even if either of those things are true it's not helping the situation.

As frustrating as the Persona 3 fans can be, there *ARE* points that I can understand, the old battle music does sound more energetic and it would be nice to have a choice. And the new facial expressions of the characters compared to the old ones is also a bit toned down, making them a bit bland. But really? Looking at this level of remake and you’re seriously bashing the game because of small nitpicks?

I think the reason why the tension within the P3 cast works so well is that their development is tied to the plot. And as the plot progresses, so does the conflict or bonds between these characters. Whereas in Persona 4 and 5, character development is usually tied to each dungeon/Palace. The conflict in those games usually happens before the new party member joins and then stops once they do because everyone immediately becomes friends. You have people like Ann who has pretty solid moments in the first Palace but then fades out of existence for the rest of the game. Or characters like Haru who...yeah.
