Madness To The Method
Добавлен 24 июл 2021
This channel exists as a vehicle to share my passion for poetry and photography as much as it is for something to do during all the enforced down time during these idiotic lockdowns. And work on my rather bad public speaking skills.
I hope you find something here you like. Thank you for watching.

Zenit 12XP: A Mad Review
A quick look at another old camera someone gave me, an old Russian Zenit 12XP in surprisingly good shape.
Fun fact: I put more effort into the thumbnails than the actual video.

Nikon F3: A Mad Review (sort of...)
Просмотров 7462 года назад
What can I say about the Nikon F3 that so many RUclipsrs haven't already? Who knows, but this is my perspective on this legendary 35mm SLR, which I have owned and loved for many years. Trust me, I'm a LOT better at still photography than I am at videos, which are more an exercise in public speaking anyway. NIKON F3 OBSERVED SERIAL NUMBERS First production: 1200001 (March 1980) Higheat observed:...

AI voice?
I can hear the autism in your voice
I own 18 Praktica's and everone works, although my original EE2 bought new at the time did have a shutter failure.
I bought a D300 earlier this year for little money and like the control layout and will be looking for a D200 soon , I do not like touch screens and having to go in to menus every time to adjust things.
"Lens #4" ... 😐
💪👍👍😎😎
Das gröste aller Displays von Nikon ! Oben !
Cor Blimey look at that nice one!!! A and M mode
Have you tested this 300mm f/2.8 lens with the newer vr version that you claim is the sharpest?
i have beenusing my dad's d610, but after viewing this review i bought a d2oo n am loving it cheers
Seems that post 1990 the quality just went down?
An old friend gave me his old MTL 5 B , shutter was broken and the 50mm aperture ring was also broken ( stuck at 1.8 ) , I love it so I ended up buying a working body for 15€, I´m taking my university photography course right now and I wanted something more exotic to photograph with, I already knew how to work analogic and digital photography so it´s just for fun, It´s working perfectly and the aperture ring being stuck at 1.8 sure gives a little more challenge to it, next one I might buy a Nikomat of some kind, I love to photograph analog and the praktica just gives me another piece of love that I have for it
plus 4.5/80-200 N plus ED 2.8/180 plus 3.5/135
The D7100 also has that similar D700 look, sensor also made by PANASONIC. My D700 is just an outdoor camera because it can't handle tolerable noise above 1600, unless monochromed... but man if you hover around that 200-640 ISO it has that CCD orange-y warm look that can't be replicated by any other modern mirrorless... So your best bet is that use it with a fast 1.4 prime so that you can keep that ISO level to acceptable noise levels
En todos los videos de D200 que he visto, le faltan las tapas de sincro flash y cable disparador. Fotógrafos poco preocupados. Mi D200, tiene todas las tapas, y está como nueva. Es solo saber donde guardarlas y punto.

💯🇹🇷⭐️👍I have 1 of this NIKON f3 device, it is very clean and for sale, if anyone is interested, there is a video on my RUclips channel.
Ironic an Aussie bloke wrote this and Australia is now a authoritarian state
The helicoid on the Ais is a shorter twist making going inn and out of focus quicker over equivalent the Ai version
I have D810, D800, D300, D200 and still have my D70. I also have Leica M digitals and film cameras and an old Canon 5D MKII. I have been shooting film in all formats for over 50 years and still do. There is nothing wrong with MFT cameras, the sensors are more than capable of producing great results even in difficult lighting conditions. The one crucial factor in all this is the photographer and his knowledeg and skill in using the equipment that he has. No one really needs 100MP sensors to shoot skinny models with bad skin, nor do they need it for any type of landscape photography. Those stuff are designed and manufactured to appeal to the ego of the Photographers, Art Directors, Editors and Retouchers whom seldom konw what the hell they are talking about, so the bigger the equipment the more sense of security.
The gratuitous insult to M43 shows more passion for madness than for method. A pity. Thank you for leaving this comment, it's also a shame that you didn't get a response from the crazy creator.
@@mistergiovanni7183 I respect everyone's opinions. Some guys or girls really do think that photographing a model with a £15000.00 camera/ lens combination and 100MP is the pinnacle of good photography. I prefer to look at a photo of the same model shot with a Holga, but with creativity. Any idiot with lots of money could buy these stuff these days. That doesn't mean that they are photographers.
"Din" should really be pronounced as "dean", so that it rhymes with "green", "spleen", and "canteen" in the poem. Kipling would not have made such errors if the name was pronounced as "Din".
Gotta call BS on MFT. Olympus em1 mkIII is my go to Camera and use it 80% of the time. I grew on a classic OM-1 35mm and a Mamiya C330 6x6. Literally grew up in the dark room. I was zone focusing and developing my own B&W at 12. Nothing beats a mirrorless with good IBIS and focus peaking. Well unless you’re going for a soft shaky cam pic. Hell the 6D is nearly impossible to manual focus unless you upgrade to a split prism focusing screen.
Big thumbs up on this video...I have been shooting with this nifty fifty on a full frame Nikon for about 4 years now, and LOVE the image quality and compactness! Thanks
Farking mad review matey! I've hit a seller up in Melbourne hoping to pic one up this weekend. Nikon 200D with Nikon Nikkor AF-S 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 G ED DX VR Lens for $275. With charger and two batteries. I'm excited!!!
I just got a F3 HP, an AIS Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 pancake, AIS 80-200mm f/4 and AF 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 (all in mint condition) for 350 Euros, a real steal. The F3 shutter was built to last at least 150.000 pictures, which is far more than 4000 rolls of film. For an amateur it will last forever.
They lie, the men who tell us in a loud decisive tone That want is here a stranger, and that misery’s unknown; For where the nearest suburb and the city proper meet My window-sill is level with the faces in the street- Drifting past, drifting past, To the beat of weary feet- While I sorrow for the owners of those faces in the street. And cause I have to sorrow, in a land so young and fair, To see upon those faces stamped the marks of Want and Care; I look in vain for traces of the fresh and fair and sweet In sallow, sunken faces that are drifting through the street- Drifting on, drifting on, To the scrape of restless feet; I can sorrow for the owners of the faces in the street.
I worked at Petersham Swimming pool as a lifeguard from 19 to about 20 in 1996 the year that there was 42 degree heat and my shoes melted from the pools concrete its a very unique place with tooths brewry cast iron massive plarks showing the brewing process on the old brewery. I still drink the only NSW Stout from tooths brewry Shef stout the cricket grounds are all in sandstone it was a romantic place drank many guinness at the petersham hotel to many as lifeguards do I sat on the Peterham train station many a night never knowing the true history but always knowing that Train station was magical it as soon as you see it you know theres something about that place if ever stop there Faces in the Street now I know what grab me about this place

PETERSHAM STATION OVERHEAD BRIDGE BUILT 1883 This Bridge is one of the oldest of its type still in use in NSW. THEN: c1900 NOW: 2022 The footbridge comprises a deck connecting Trafalgar and Terminus Streets, with stairs that lead down to the platform and the streets. The structure rests on brick piers, cast iron columns, arches and steel trestles. Refurbished in 1992 and 2023/2024, the footbridge has a concrete deck and stairs with painted steel handrails and balustrades. The riveted metal lattice work underneath the deck is original. The Bridge was designed by George Cowdery, who was a prominent engineer associated with the early development of the NSW Railways and Tramways. Petersham Station is heritage listed, and has been maintained in good condition. Over the past 12 months, Sydney Trains has undertaken repair and repainting of the overhead bridge, addressing metal corrosion. The work has been conducted during weekend track closures. Due to be completed early 2025. The brick structure, left, is the remains of the original amenities block. Above it was the original ticket office, linked the Pedestrian Bridge. i have a d70s that i converted to shoot full spectrum as well as a d200 to shoot normal light. the 2 best imo
thank GOD for you just getting STRAIGHT into the subject of the video. i am so disgustingly sick and tired of all these bumbling RUclips posers endlessly plugging and advertising their channel or whatever TF at the beginning of every single video for like 3-5 minutes. i despise any channel that constantly does that and takes forever to get to the freaking point
Posso utilizar esse flash em câmera digital?
28 mm 2.8 ????🤮
I enjoyed the Leica flex 😁
I have Praktica MTL50 and it’s great. I would try SP, but Praktica affordable as Zenit, but far more reliable
Thank you man!
I use D4s and D6.
Does ai or ais matter? Which one is correct for d 750
Only if you have an F4 or FA,otherwise, no.
whats the first lens?
He mistakenly called it 100mm 2.5 It's actually a 105mm 2.5 it's the popular lens used by the dude who took the photo of the girl on Nat geo mag cover back in the day. I recently grabbed a copy and it's even better than everyone says it is. He's right to show it as #1. It probably is the BEST (average, consumer priced) vintage Nikon lens that everyone should start with. It's pretty amazing. I'm surprised Nikon doesn't just keep making it. They should probably make one just like the old vintage one, manual focus and a make one just like it optically, with AF.
As a budding sports photographer the AIS 300mm was pure gold and cheap.
After watching this my D200 is on the charger--after quite a few years!
I recently got a Nikon F4 and keen for an AF lens. Recommend any cheap(ish) zoom lenses?
I HAVE ONE ;)
I have a d700 with less than 20K shots, I will never sell it.
1:06 "End of discussion." LOL, nothing like thinking you're right and the rest of the world is wrong.
Is that an Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 D? I keep getting EE messages and can't figure out putting the A ring to the orange 22 and locking the pin or not. Either way, I've noticed that it's mostly my bad hand holding that nudges the aperture or sometimes even the magnication ring. Any advice welcome 😁
Sorry but I couldn't hear what you said, those D generation and Ai/S lenses proved too much of a distraction!
cool!
I've 50mm f:1.2 Ai-s and with my D810 it's very sharp. Also I use 80-200mm f:2.8 AF-D. This one is a solid metal and gives very good picture quality. My 35mm f:2 AF-D is as good as its AFS cousin but at a much low cost.
Waffling 5 minute video.
